Chapter 387: 387: Using All I’ve got..

Eden spilled blood from his lips as he fell down to his knees. He was weak from all the power he was using from his inner core. He could feel himself breaking down as he struggled to his feet, but he couldn’t.

He knelt there staring at the ground with hazy vision, gasping hard.

They gathered around him as Kyle laughed from above, controlling his minions.

"You thought that could take you far?" Kyle laughed. "What a joke. You were bound to break down anytime soon. You’re only destroying yourself and nothing more."

Eden stared up at him.

"You need a break," Lysander said.

"Yes, you do. Let us handle it. No matter how hard it gets, let’s handle it together. No matter what happens," Adrian insisted.

Eden shook his head. "You can’t... you..." He was struggling to speak.

"We know. We’re human and they’re not. But we want to help. So let us," Elvis insisted.

Eden still didn’t wish for them to intervene. It was too dangerous for them, and he knew that. But he was too weak to say anything or stop them.

He knelt there as the zombies approached, and Adrian pulled out his sword. The four of them pulled out their weapons along with Helen.

And they instantly took the front line, fighting these zombies with all they had while Lenny sat there with Eden.

Eden watched them fight. It was almost fruitless.

They were fighting in every possible way with their strength, using their weapons to slay the monsters, but they always came back.

It was the same cycle: them cutting down the zombies with their weapons and the zombies growing back the lost parts and returning. It kept repeating itself, and they kept fighting like that—a fruitless fight.

Eden gasped as he struggled to his feet.

"You’re weak..." Lenny had noticed. "Your core is weak."

Eden coughed; blood spilled out. "I’m okay... I’ll be okay..."

Lenny stared up at him, worried. "I don’t think so... If you continue... you’ll break yourself apart."

But Eden said, staring up at Kyle who was controlling the monsters, "It doesn’t matter. As long as I can stop him, it doesn’t." He struggled to use his inner core power again even though he was weak.

Lenny tried stopping him, but Eden said to him with a soft smile, "Don’t worry about me. I’m not from this world, remember? So maybe if I don’t survive... I’ll go back... with you..." He smiled as he stared down at the cat, who was already in tears.

"But... it’s risky... what if... what..." Lenny couldn’t find the words; his tears were getting in the way.

But Eden said with a smile, "Don’t worry." He bent down and patted him on the head. "I’ll always be your friend, even in another life. Okay? So... be a good girl and let me be a hero this time?"

"When I lost Gideon... I couldn’t be the hero to save him. So this time... let me save them..." He smiled as Lenny stared at him in tears without saying anything.

Eden slowly got up to his feet as he turned and stared at Kyle up there. The zombies were still fighting intensely with his husbands and Helen. And it didn’t seem like a fight that would end anytime soon.

Eden knew he had to end it somehow.

He placed a hand over his chest and closed his eyes. He felt his heart quiver and his whole body tremble on the verge of breakdown. But he held himself firmly as he held onto the bright purple light that came from within him.

He felt it while he held it—the energy that came from within. It was the most powerful energy he had ever brought forth, and he could easily tell that this was the guiding energy of it all.

As he held the light in his hand, the sword that Felix was using inside the hall suddenly woke up and flew toward him. It came out and landed in Eden’s hand, glowing with purple light. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Eden held onto the sword as it instantly turned purple, glowing with immense sparks of light while the energy filled the space around him and the sword.

Eden’s eyes were purple as he stared down at the sword in his hand. He held onto it with a gasp, tears running down his eyes. He could feel his whole body wearing out, tearing down, but he held firmly.

"For a while... only for a short while..." He muttered to himself. "And it’ll be over."

Kyle stared down at him, his expression shifting from a smile into a frown. "You... are you stupid? You really wish to die here, huh?"

But Eden forced a smile as he stared up at him. "If that’s the only way to stop you, maybe it’s worth trying." He could feel his chest suffocating with the pain crushing him, blood dripping from his lips. But he held himself.

Kyle scoffed, looking bitter. "I guess you really do hate me that much, huh."

But Eden said nothing. He held onto the sword as he sliced it against his palm. His blood filled the sword and sent electrifying light through it.

And with that, Eden took to the air with the sword, flying at Kyle.

He struck the sword at Kyle, who tried to dodge but to no avail. The sword smashed hard against Kyle, who flew backward.

Eden didn’t stop there. He kept going after him, twisting the sparkling purple sword from all sides—left, right, up, and down—and swinging it at Kyle. He kept striking him hard as it kept hitting Kyle without fail.

Kyle tried to dodge, but it was impossible. The energy from the sword trapped him like a magnet, preventing him from escaping. So he kept getting caught under its power, letting the sword hit and smash him in every possible way.

They flew through the air in circles, purple light sparkling in the dark atmosphere as Eden kept smashing him with the sword and Kyle moving backward and backward from the intense hits he was receiving.
