Born Without Magic… So What?
Chapter 31: The Journey to Another Kingdom
After a few weeks...
Inside the living room, both of them were sitting at the table, about to start breakfast.
Arya suddenly looked at Miyuki.
"From tomorrow... we’re leaving this place for a while."
Miyuki blinked.
"Where are we going?"
Arya calmly replied,
"We’re heading to another kingdom."
Then he looked at her again.
"And one more thing."
"From now on, don’t call me Arya."
"My name will be Haruto."
Miyuki nodded without hesitation.
"Then I’ll call you Sir Haruto."
"I’ll be your maid there... not your teammate."
She smiled softly.
"I know you want to search for your family."
"I don’t know if they’re alive or not..."
"But wherever you go..."
"I’ll follow you."
"Even if it’s to the end of the world."
Arya looked at her for a moment.
Then she asked quietly,
"Is there... any other reason you want to go there?"
A faint smile appeared on Arya’s face.
Then his eyes slowly turned cold.
"For revenge."
Then, after they came back, they packed their bags.
Both of them stood outside the house before leaving.
Before they left, Arya summoned several stone tanks to guard the house.
It was a skill he had obtained after defeating the boss monster in the dungeon a few weeks ago.
Back then, after returning home, the moment Arya entered the room, a series of notifications appeared before him.
[Level Up] ×10
[Level Up]...
[You have obtained a new skill.]
[Summon Monster Skill]
[You can now summon low-ranking monsters.]
Then another notification appeared.
[Level Up!]
[Congratulations! You have reached Level 100.]
[Your evolution into a True Demon will begin in a few seconds.]
[Evolution Starting...]
Arya’s body suddenly glowed with a bright white light.
His entire body slowly changed as he evolved into a True Demon.
More notifications appeared before him.
[Ice Magic - Level 100]
[Fire Magic - Level 100]
[Air Walk - Level 100]
[Devour - Level 100]
[Teleport Skill has leveled up.]
[Summon Monster - Level 60]
That meant he could now summon middle-ranking monsters.
After evolving into a True Demon, Arya no longer had to worry about running out of energy.
Because he didn’t have mana, he used energy to activate his skills.
But now, whenever his energy was exhausted, it would automatically recover back to full.
Back to the present...
Both of them stood outside the house.
Arya looked at Miyuki.
"Did you pack everything?"
Miyuki nodded.
"I brought everything."
"Then give it to me."
"I’ll put it inside my Storage Skill."
She handed him all the bags.
Arya stored everything inside his Storage Skill.
Then he activated Teleport.
A white light surrounded both of them.
The next moment...
They appeared far away near the border of another kingdom.
They were standing on top of a mountain.
Below them stood a massive stone wall.
A huge gate was built into the wall, heavily guarded by the kingdom’s soldiers.
On the opposite side, not far away, another large wall could be seen.
That was the border of another kingdom.
Soldiers from that kingdom were also guarding their own gate.
Then Arya looked at Miyuki.
"If we go through the main gate, they’ll ask for our identity cards from this nation."
"We’ll also need a visitor’s pass to enter another kingdom."
"They won’t allow us to pass without them."
"That’s why we’re going through the sky."
"I can’t use Teleport because I’ve never been there before."
"I can only teleport to places I’ve already visited."
After saying that, Arya picked Miyuki up in both of his arms.
A pair of white wings appeared on his back as he activated his Wing Skill.
Then he activated his ring.
Both Arya and Miyuki slowly became invisible.
After opening his wings, Arya flew into the sky.
He quietly crossed the border without the soldiers noticing anything.
After flying for several hours, they finally reached a forest near a village in the other kingdom.
Arya slowly landed inside the forest.
Then he deactivated the ring.
Both of them became visible again.
After that, Arya dismissed his white wings and gently put Miyuki down.
Before leaving the forest, Arya gave his ring to Miyuki.
After wearing the ring, her fox ears and tail disappeared.
Originally, the ring could only make someone invisible.
But after Arya evolved into a True Demon, the ring’s power had also evolved.
Now it could make the wearer invisible or hide their true appearance.
Miyuki now looked completely human.
After all, beastkin and demi-humans were very rare in this kingdom.
It was much safer if she looked like an ordinary human.
Soon, both of them walked toward the village.
It was slightly larger than the villages they had seen before.
Before entering deeper into the village, they stopped an old man.
Arya politely asked,
"We’re adventurers."
"We’re searching for some people from another kingdom."
"Have you seen anyone like that?"
The old man slowly shook his head.
"No."
"I haven’t seen anyone like that."
"Only the people from our village live here."
"Sometimes merchants come here to sell their goods..."
"But I don’t remember seeing the people you’re talking about."
Arya thanked the old man.
Then he and Miyuki continued walking deeper into the village in search of more clues.
Then they searched everywhere in the village.
They asked many people, but they still couldn’t find any clues.
Soon, it became late.
The sky gradually grew darker as night arrived.
Since there was nothing more they could do today, they decided to stay in the village for one night.
After eating dinner, they rented a room at a small inn.
When they entered the room, they saw two separate beds waiting for them.
Without saying much, both of them quietly prepared to spend the night there and continue their search again the next morning.
But in the middle of the night, Arya suddenly woke up.
He had heard a strange sound coming from outside.
He slowly turned his head.
Miyuki was still sleeping peacefully on her bed.
Arya didn’t wake her up.
He quietly got out of bed and walked toward the window.
The window was slightly open.
As he looked outside...
He saw many villagers quietly walking through the streets.
None of them were talking.
They were all heading in the same direction.
Arya frowned slightly.
Something felt wrong.
At this hour...
The villagers shouldn’t be outside.
He had a bad feeling about the village.
