Bound to the eldritch Sea: SSS-Tier Navigator
Chapter 66: A Ship Full of Freaks
On the other side.
Kevin and the girls were still busy raising their strength, and before they knew it, it was already noon.
These days, daytime on the Terror Sea was getting shorter and shorter. Every day, the sky only began to turn gray around eleven, and it was dark before five.
They had to leave while there was still light. The black curtain was getting closer and closer.
Thinking of this, Kevin and the girls all put away their excitement, drove the only two sailboats they had left, and set sail.
But just as they had sailed one nautical mile, an old, broken Spectral Corsair Vessel appeared behind them.
Keston stood at the bow and roared, "Kevin! Get out here! I’m going to fight you one-on-one!"
Right after that, a row of zombies stood up behind him.
The zombies moved stiffly, raised their guns, aimed, and fired, all in one smooth motion.
Several bullets skimmed over the sea and hit the cockpit of the Two-Masted Sloop, accurately shattering several pieces of glass.
At that moment, Kevin and Nova were resting in the captain’s room, while Celula and Monchhichi were on duty at the helm.
When the stray bullets suddenly came in, the two girls instantly dropped to the floor.
"Damn it! We were so focused on upgrading that we forgot to watch the waters around us!" Celula stood up angrily, and two Wheels of Flame & Wind appeared under her feet, lifting her into the air.
"I’ll handle this. Don’t cause trouble for Captain Kevin." As Celula spoke, she activated her shield.
The Wheels of Flame & Wind under her feet spun fast, giving off flames.
With a whoosh, she stepped on the two Wheels of Flame & Wind and appeared right in front of Keston. "Which blind idiot smashed our glass? Didn’t your mom teach you that doing that gets you beaten up?"
Keston looked at Celula, who had suddenly appeared, and froze on the spot. "This woman... can fly?"
While he was still shocked, Celula somehow pulled out an RPG launcher and hoisted it onto her shoulder.
When Keston saw that, he went completely dumb. "Holy shit!"
"Bye-bye!" Celula giggled, and the rocket shot out like a flaming snake, rushing straight toward the Spectral Corsair Vessel.
With a loud boom, blazing sparks burst open, directly blasting off a corner of the Spectral Corsair Vessel’s bow.
"Damn it! You lunatic!" Keston roared, casually grabbed a zombie, and threw it toward the bow.
Right after that, the Spectral Corsair Vessel opened its bloody maw like a giant beast from the abyss.
The zombie was swallowed by the Spectral Corsair Vessel, and thin blue lines like fungal threads grew out from the hull. Those lines stretched like tentacles, connecting the shattered wooden pieces and rivets one by one, fixing them back in place.
The big hole blown open by the rocket was quickly repaired.
But on the repaired side of the bow, besides broken wooden planks, there was also a large amount of living tissue stuck together, making it look especially horrifying and savage.
When Celula saw this, her eyes went wide. "So you’re not Survivors. You’re a whole ship of Eldritch Entities!"
When Keston heard Celula’s words, he was completely stunned. "You’re the damn Eldritch Entity, okay? I’m human!"
Celula ignored Keston.
She kicked off with both legs, and the Wheels of Flame & Wind under her feet spun at high speed as she rushed above the Spectral Corsair Vessel like a meteor.
"If one rocket doesn’t work, then try this."
At some point, Celula was holding a ragged cloth bag in her arms.
She swung it hard downward, and dozens of grenades with their pins pulled fell from the sky.
When Keston saw that, he was completely dumbfounded. "Motherfucker!"
He cursed as he ran toward the cabin.
The zombies that had been standing behind him were now guarding Keston like dead bodies.
Any grenade that landed near him was picked up and thrown away by the zombies.
The ones they had no time to throw were swallowed by the zombies.
A string of explosions rang out, and the deck of the entire Spectral Corsair Vessel was almost carpet-bombed.
When the smoke and dust cleared, not a single plank on the deck was still whole.
As for the zombies, they had been blown into chunks of charred meat the size of fists.
Inside the captain’s cabin of the Spectral Corsair Vessel, Keston’s eyes were blood-red. "Damn it! I killed an entire ship of people to turn the Spectral Corsair Vessel into what it is now, and you ruined it all! Die!"
Keston took out an old flintlock pistol, and ghostly blue flames were still burning around the chamber.
With a bang, blue light burst out.
The flintlock pistol fired a mass of ghostly blue laser energy. The energy blasted toward Celula, but it was suddenly blocked by an unseen barrier in front of her, sending out rings of blue energy ripples.
Seeing this, Keston’s eyes went wide in disbelief. "That’s impossible! Who the hell are you? Are you Luna or Amelia?"
When Celula heard Keston call out those names, she rolled her eyes right away. "My name is Celula! You Eldritch Entity, you’re asking to die!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Celula shouldered the RPG launcher again. A brand-new rocket was already ready to fire.
In truth, Celula had also been shocked just now.
Keston’s shot had almost taken off forty points of her shield. If that shot had hit a person, especially a vital spot, they would be dead for sure.
Thinking of this, Celula felt the urge to kill Keston.
Just as she was about to pull the trigger, Stephanie suddenly ran to the stern of the Two-Masted Sloop and shouted, "Stop! He’s one of us! Kevin knows him too!"
Hearing this, Celula frowned hard.
She turned and flew back above the Two-Masted Sloop, then landed steadily.
At this moment, Monchhichi, Luna, Amelia, and the others all walked toward the stern.
The girls looked at Stephanie, then looked at the Spectral Corsair Vessel behind them, which had almost been beaten to pieces, and they all frowned.
"What exactly happened?" Amelia looked at Celula first.
Monchhichi stood to the side and sighed, then began to explain. "Let me say it. Just now, the people on that Spectral Corsair Vessel fired and shattered the glass of the bridge. Celula flew out and gave them a rocket in return, and then they started fighting..."
After the girls heard the whole story, they all rolled their eyes. At the same time, they secretly gave Celula a thumbs-up in their hearts.
Luna even hooked an arm around Celula’s shoulder and praised her. "Not bad, little girl. You took on a Survivor team all by yourself."
Celula’s face turned red. She lowered her head and said softly, "I was wrong. I know a Navigator shouldn’t charge into battle. I was just afraid you would blame me for not scanning the surrounding sea conditions in time."
At this moment, Stephanie put her hands on her hips and pointed straight at Celula’s nose. "Even so, you can’t try to kill people. Do you know who the captain of that Spectral Corsair Vessel is? He’s Keston from the battle record rankings. He’s Kevin’s friend and mine."
Stephanie said the word "friend" especially clearly.
But the others were even more shocked, and they said in unison, "The captain of the Spectral Corsair Vessel behind us is actually Keston?"
"He’s that weak? He can’t even beat Celula?" Nova said as she slowly walked into the crowd in high heels.
Her voice was loud. Even Keston, who was a few hundred meters away, could still hear her.
Nova’s contempt made Keston furious.
He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. "Damn it. How dare you look down on me!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the Spectral Corsair Vessel beneath Keston’s feet suddenly sped up and charged toward the Two-Masted Sloop.
Seeing that the two ships were about to crash into each other, Amelia raised her Pistol and warned, "I don’t care who you are. Stop right now. Otherwise, don’t blame me for shooting."
"Shoot?" Keston laughed. "How much power can a bullet from a Glock Pistol have? Even an RPG rocket would only give me a headache."
After saying that, Keston not only refused to stop, but sped up even more.
The girls standing at the stern panicked for a moment.
Aside from Luna and Nova, the other girls all rushed into the cabin.
Amelia frowned and pulled the trigger.
A bullet engraved with a large Fireball shot straight toward the Spectral Corsair Vessel.
The bullet rubbed against the air and quickly began to burn.
The high heat instantly activated the Enchant mark on the casing.
Soon, a huge ball of fire spread out against the wind.
Keston only felt his vision suddenly fill with a massive flame, bright like the sun.
The blazing heat burned his skin, and the blinding light made it almost impossible for him to see anything.
By the time he heard the sound, the entire Spectral Corsair Vessel was shaking violently.
With a thunderous boom, Keston felt the world beneath his feet flip upside down.
The Spectral Corsair Vessel, which had been sailing smoothly and moving fast, was actually blasted into the air by that single bullet.
A small mushroom cloud was rushing up into the sky.
Under the force of the blast, the Spectral Corsair Vessel spun wildly, and Keston was shaken so hard he almost threw up.
With a loud clang, another violent shock came.
The Spectral Corsair Vessel crashed back into the water, sending up a huge wave.
When the spray fell back down, the Spectral Corsair Vessel, which had originally been dozens of meters long, was now a full third shorter.
The bow, which had been over ten meters long, had actually been blown away by Amelia’s single bullet.
Keston’s eyes went wide. Forcing down the pain all over his body, he roared, "What the hell kind of monsters are on this ship?"
Suddenly, Keston felt a shiver run through him. It was a deadly warning from his sixth sense.
He quickly turned his head and looked over, only to see Amelia holding up the dark muzzle of her gun, still aiming at his head.
"Don’t shoot! Lady! I surrender!" Keston hurriedly waved his hand.
In his panic, he pulled a white handkerchief from his clothes and kept waving it on the deck.
This international sign of surrender was quickly confirmed.
Monchhichi walked to Amelia’s side and gently tugged at her clothes. "Amelia, why don’t we let him off for now and hear what he actually wants?"
At this moment, Celula also nodded along. "Right, right, right. From the start, he kept yelling like he wanted to challenge Captain Kevin one-on-one."
"One-on-one?" Nova looked as if she had heard something funny. "He can’t even beat Celula, and he wants to fight Kevin one-on-one? Did he come here to die?"
