Chapter 503: Chapter 503: The Heaven Demon Blood Pool

Once Qing Lin completely subdued the Ancient Heaven Demon Python, Liu Xi finally waved his hand. The massive azure palm that had pinned the beast gradually dissipated into a swirl of mist before vanishing entirely.

"Qing Lin, well done!" Liu Xi gave her a thumbs-up, satisfaction gleaming in his eyes as he looked at the enormous python that now lay docile before them.

"It’s all thanks to you, Young Master. Without you suppressing it, I couldn’t have controlled it." Qing Lin’s tone was cheerful, and with a graceful motion, she brushed her hair behind her ear — her every movement exuding effortless charm.

Seeing that most of the python’s scales were shattered and its black misty body still oozed blood, Liu Xi waved his hand again and tossed out a jade bottle filled with high-grade healing pills.

He hadn’t exactly gone easy earlier — the fact that the beast survived his palm strike only proved how terrifyingly tough its body was. Now that it belonged to him, he wasn’t about to let it stay injured.

Both landed on the ground. Liu Xi flicked the jade bottle toward the python, who opened its maw to swallow it whole, the gust of wind from its breath sweeping the area clean.

Right after, Qing Lin’s hands moved into a flurry of seals. The Jade Snake Three-Flower Pupils glimmered in her eyes once more, rippling with faint waves of spatial fluctuation.

Before Liu Xi’s eyes, the enormous python’s hundred-zhang body began to fade away within those spatial ripples, vanishing into another dimension.

"Tsk, tsk... that Jade Snake Three-Flower Pupils truly lives up to its reputation as the continent’s number-one mysterious eye. Now that we’ve got the Ancient Heaven Demon Python under control, it’s time to find its lair."

Qing Lin blinked. "Young Master, do you want me to have it lead us there?"

"No need. Let it recover for now."

With that, Liu Xi rose into the air, following the faint energy trail emanating from the mountain. Qing Lin followed closely behind.

This towering mountain was steep and vast, and there were no other beasts within its range — the python had clearly wiped them out long ago. That at least saved them the trouble of clearing the area themselves. Following the residual energy fluctuations, it didn’t take long for Liu Xi to find the creature’s nest.

The lair sat at the very heart of the mountain — cold, damp, and filled with heaps of bones, both beast and human alike. The sight spoke for itself: whoever had stumbled into this place had become the python’s meal.

Without at least a Peak Dou Zun’s strength, one wouldn’t even have a chance to flee such a monster. This was indeed the peril of the Ancient Wasteland Region.

Liu Xi frowned slightly as he stepped over the mounds of white bone until he reached the end of the cave.

There, the rock turned crimson — a wide patch of uneven ground encircled a pool roughly ten zhang across.

The pool churned with thick scarlet liquid. Occasionally, bubbles would rise and burst, releasing waves of dense, almost tangible energy. Among the rippling blood floated fragments of beast bones — no doubt the remains of powerful creatures thrown in by the python itself.

"So this is the Heaven Demon Blood Pool?" Qing Lin’s tone carried a mix of awe and apprehension.

"Mm. That’s right."

Liu Xi nodded lightly. He could clearly sense the powerful energy sealed within. The python had poured centuries of effort into forging this place.

"Qing Lin," Liu Xi said slowly, his voice soft but serious, "it may be painful — even unbearable — but the energy within this blood pool is extremely pure. It can refine your body and elevate your strength. You should absorb it."

"Me? What about you, Young Master?"

"This energy won’t help me much. But for you, it’s perfect. Just remember — it’s violent. Use the Ancient Heaven Serpent’s power to assist the absorption."

He glanced again at the pool, eyes narrowing slightly. The blood pool was meant for the serpent race — it was why he decided Qing Lin should take this risk.

"I understand, Young Master. Qing Lin isn’t afraid." Her expression was firm.

What she wanted was to help him — in every way that mattered, not merely as a companion at his side.

"Don’t overdo it. If your body reaches its limit, come out immediately. I’ll stay close. If you feel anything wrong, call out at once."

After leaving that warning, Liu Xi sat down on a large beast bone nearby. He wasn’t about to leave her alone with something this dangerous. The energy might be pure, but it was meant for the offspring of a demon python — even Half Saints would risk being torn apart by it.

Knowing Liu Xi was watching over her brought Qing Lin comfort. No matter how much pain awaited, with him here, she feared nothing.

She turned to the churning scarlet pool, her face solemn. The violent aura within felt almost alive, as if countless treasures had been dissolved into molten essence.

"I can’t let Young Master down..."

Taking a deep breath, she began to remove her garments one by one, revealing a body as flawless as carved ivory — delicate yet powerful.

Even after seeing her countless times, Liu Xi couldn’t help but feel a rush of heat stir within him. Only he knew how intoxicating it was to hold that soft body in his arms.

Forming seals with her slender fingers, Qing Lin summoned the power of the Ancient Heaven Serpent. A crimson tattoo surfaced across her snowy skin, releasing waves of blood mist as the mark brightened into the image of a coiling serpent.

Then she leapt lightly into the air and plunged into the blood pool with a splash.

Hissssss—!

At once, the once-still Heaven Demon Blood Pool erupted, bubbling violently as waves of red mist billowed upward. The savage energy within roared to life like a storm, swirling into the shape of a colossal serpent — blood-red scales gleaming with killing intent.

Its aura was ancient, brutal — the ancestor of all serpents. Even the Ancient Heaven Demon Python would have had to lower its head before it.

The blood pool had been crafted for a demon python, yet when it met the power of the Ancient Heaven Serpent, the violent energy resonated, submitting instead of rebelling.

"Ugh—!"

A muffled groan escaped Qing Lin’s lips. Even filtered by the serpent’s power, the energy was still blistering and wild.

Heat and dominance — that was what she felt. It was like being cast into a furnace, her blood boiling, her body burning from within.

Through the serpent’s absorption and refinement, the violent energy transformed into thick, molten vitality that flowed back into her body.

Her delicate skin flushed crimson as waves of steam rose around her.

Yet even as pain gnawed at her nerves, her heart remained steadfast.

’Compared to being a burden to Young Master... this heat is nothing!’

Determination flared in Qing Lin’s heart as she clenched her jaw and continued to absorb the raging energy, forcing it to become her own.
