BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi
Chapter 531: Ruler of the Northwest Region
Northwest Region.
In the Jia Ma Empire, at the headquarters of the Heavenly Alliance—the strongest faction of the Northwest Region—an imposing atmosphere filled the grand hall. The Heavenly Alliance had been founded under Liu Xi’s leadership, uniting all major powers of the Jia Ma Empire into one unprecedented alliance.
Two years ago, after Liu Xi had established the laws and structure of the Heavenly Alliance, he delegated authority to Vice Alliance Leader Yun Yun and the Ten Great Elders, becoming a true hands-off leader. Fortunately, no one had disappointed his expectations. Even after his departure, there were no power struggles or betrayals—only steady cooperation and growth.
Within mere months, the Heavenly Alliance displayed astonishing vitality. Once the various forces were unified, their power soared. With the vast resources Liu Xi had brought back, figures like Jia Xingtian, Hai Bodong, and Fa Ma experienced their own resurgences, as though all the potential suppressed for decades had finally erupted at once. Each broke through rapidly, stepping into the realm of high-level Dou Zong.
Yun Yun, bolstered by Liu Xi’s rare pills, ascended even higher—breaking through to the Dou Zun realm and becoming one of the true pillars of the alliance.
Thus, the Heavenly Alliance grew into a top-tier force, surpassing everything that came before it. Its foundation solidified, its influence spread—tiger crouching in Jia Ma, its roar shaking the nations. A new Chapter had begun.
However, compared to the Central Plains, even the strongest factions of the Northwest Region were merely equivalent to first-class powers there—unable to match forces like the Four Pavilions. Normally, disputes among the kingdoms were frequent yet contained, rarely escalating into chaos. But a year ago, a sect called the Profound Lion Sect suddenly began a campaign of rampant conquest. Wherever their power reached, no one could stand against them.
In less than half a year, half of the Northwest Region fell under their control.
Though the Profound Lion Sect had once ranked among the top ten of the Northwest, it had never been invincible. Yet this time, its strength had grown dramatically, reinforced by numerous mysterious and formidable outsiders.
To Central Plains experts, the Northwest Region was little more than a barren frontier—vast, but poor in resources. Worth little, yet not so worthless as to be ignored completely. Its most valuable "resource" was its population.
The Hall of Souls, accelerating its grand plan after the destruction of the Human Hall and loss of its Soul Essence, began stirring wars outside the Central Plains to harvest souls in bulk. Though inferior in quality, the sheer quantity of souls was enough to make up the difference.
And so, the Profound Lion Sect became the Hall of Souls’ chosen pawn, strengthened by their backing and flooded with their experts.
Quantity compensated for quality.
However, their unstoppable advance finally came to a halt when they encountered the Heavenly Alliance.
By logic, even the rejuvenated Heavenly Alliance couldn’t compare to the Profound Lion Sect backed by the Hall of Souls. Yet at the crucial moment, Vice Alliance Leader Yun Yun—now a 3-Star Dou Zun—unleashed two Heavenly Demon Puppets, each as strong as a mid-level Dou Zun.
The battle was earth-shattering. The indestructible steel bodies and terrifying might of the two puppets devastated the Profound Lion Sect’s forces, even forcing several of their Dou Zun experts to the brink of death.
That single clash shocked the entire Northwest Region. The Profound Lion Sect, once invincible, had finally met an opponent it could not defeat. The Heavenly Alliance’s reputation soared overnight.
Amid the fires of war, the Heavenly Alliance’s unity solidified. Everyone saw the truth clearly—without the alliance, they would still be scattered sand. Without Liu Xi’s foresight and the resources he left behind, including the Heavenly Demon Puppets, the Jia Ma Empire would have long fallen to ruin.
Though Liu Xi himself was absent, his name was spoken throughout every corner of the Heavenly Alliance, praised with reverence.
Meanwhile, the Profound Lion Sect, bolstered by the Hall of Souls, treated its earlier losses as nothing. But the blow to their pride enraged them.
They recalled all their forces, and under the command of their sect master, Shi Tian—a 6-Star Dou Zun—they once again launched a massive assault on the Heavenly Alliance.
Shi Tian was as arrogant as he was powerful, his words lewd and venomous. Upon meeting Yun Yun, he immediately sought to claim her as his personal trophy, mocking Liu Xi with vile insults.
The entire Heavenly Alliance burned with fury. Yet Shi Tian’s strength—and that of the Hall of Souls experts supporting him—was immense. The alliance was soon pushed to the brink, saved only by the advantage of terrain.
Liu Xi, still far away in the Ancient Wasteland Region, could not return in time—but he didn’t need to.
Because deep within the Ghostly Poison Swamp of the Chu Yun Empire, a woman opened her eyes.
Xiao Yixian had awakened.
Through the fusion of the Ghostly Poison Flame and the Ghostly Poison River, her strength skyrocketed—breaking through from a 7-Star Dou Zun to the realm of a 1-Star Dou Saint. Her Woeful Poison Body, once suppressed, had finally evolved to its fullest potential.
Upon hearing of the crisis in the Jia Ma Empire, Xiao Yixian was consumed by rage. Both the Heavenly Alliance and the Jia Ma Empire were Liu Xi’s legacy—she would not allow them to be destroyed.
When she arrived on the battlefield and learned the situation, Shi Tian once again spewed filth, his words full of jealousy and scorn toward Liu Xi.
Moments later, the world fell silent.
Shi Tian, along with every Dou Zun, Dou Zong, Dou Huang, and Dou Wang under his command—tens of thousands of experts—were annihilated by a single palm.
That day, as Shi Tian roared arrogantly in the sky, Xiao Yixian ascended, her expression indifferent. With one graceful motion of her jade-like hand, a colossal white palm appeared from the heavens.
When it fell, all life was erased.
Shi Tian had succeeded in angering her—and doomed his entire sect. The Profound Lion Sect, once unstoppable, was reduced to ash. Not a single one of the over one hundred thousand soldiers survived.
The void shattered, the earth split open, leaving behind a massive chasm that scarred the land for eternity. The area became unstable, space itself trembling and cracking at intervals, releasing eerie winds and poisonous mists.
At night, ghostly cries echoed across the canyon—said to be the wailing souls of the slaughtered army, forever trapped, their voices rising in despair each night.
Among the dead were multiple Tianzuns and Elders from the Hall of Souls, all buried by Xiao Yixian’s hand. The canyon became known as Ghostly Despair.
And from that day forward, the world hailed Xiao Yixian by a new title—Heavenly Poison Saintess.
The battle reshaped the Northwest Region entirely. The Profound Lion Sect and its Hall of Souls reinforcements were obliterated, their remnants hunted like rats in the street.
The Heavenly Alliance, now unrivaled, became the dominant power of the Northwest. Though its foundations were still growing, it claimed half of the region’s territories.
With a Dou Saint like Xiao Yixian overseeing it, the Heavenly Alliance ruled as the unchallenged overlord of the Northwest Region. No one dared defy its decree.
And so, with his name echoing across the land, Liu Xi—though far away—became known as the King of the Northwest.
