Chapter 246: Chapter 195: Calamity Unleashed

The Demonic Messenger collapsed.

They had just used every trick in the book—hallucination, poisoning, blinding, ignition. With over a hundred Demonic Messengers, surely some of them possessed seemingly inescapable Demonic Path Tokens capable of bypassing defensive items and taking effect directly. Even a Military Town Third Transition would be tortured nearly to death by so many negative statuses, even if they did not die outright.

Yet none of it worked.

It was useless!

The middle-aged Helan Xun at least dodged occasionally, while the youthful and arrogant Helan Jade simply didn’t bother to dodge. Unless it was some disgusting attack like a monkey using a poop-covered mop to steal peaches, he simply took everything. His upper garments were in tatters, so he casually ripped them apart, revealing his muscular physique adorned with tattoos of tigers, dragon elephants, golden eagles, and other rare beasts—clearly the Hundred Beasts Tattoo!

He was like a predator toying with its prey, deliberately taking the attacks from the Demonic Messengers and then tearing them apart with satisfaction, while their eyes were filled with despair and terror. The filthy blood splattered onto his Hundred Beasts Tattoo, seemingly awakening the beasts within.

Everyone knew he was intentionally demoralizing them, but just looking at his intact, clear, and unharmed Hundred Beasts Tattoo, the Demonic Messengers completely lost the courage to fight him. They scurried away in panic.

The Demonic Messengers were not afraid of a Military Town Third Transition because when people are killed, they die. A Military Town Third Transition getting their throat slashed was no different than a pig, but what stood before them was no longer human. Any wound healed instantly, and no attack could be lethal. They were like a nightmare, an inescapable nightmare!

In the midst of the chaotic panic, a demon suddenly charged toward the Rabbit Heroine, looking frenzied like a demon: "Grab her, catching her is life—"

Pharmacist’s Wish shattered his defensive barrier with two strikes, and the third pierced through his throat, nailing him to the ground, silencing the malice he hadn’t yet had time to voice. Then, with the Soul-Breaking Spear, she drew a line on the ground, her killing intent unmistakable—those who cross, die!

Blood Phase sighed inwardly. Normally, Pharmacist’s Wish’s decisive ruthlessness would have been enough to shake everyone, and even he might not have done better, but this time, it fell short.

Pharmacist’s Wish required three strikes to kill one person, whereas the Helan Family could crush anyone’s life with a single move. It was a simple math equation. The former was merely strong; the latter was dominance. Strength can be challenged, but dominance cannot be overthrown—not by a disorganized mob like them!

The Demonic Messengers stared intently at the young women, their eyes glowing with a strange red light, filled with greed and despair. They knew the Rabbit Heroine and Wolf Demon were also strong, but no matter how strong they were, they were still human, not monsters. Humans can be killed!

And earlier, the Helan Family had mentioned that outside of them, there was also a Foundation Establishment Ancestor. With Shu Dao Mountain now sealed off from inside and out, even jumping off a cliff was impossible, showcasing the earth-shattering means of Foundation Establishment!

No matter how they thought about it, their only path to survival now was to capture the Rabbit Heroine and pray for the mercy of the Foundation Establishment!

Seemingly aware of the Demonic Messengers’ thoughts, Helan Jade and Helan Xun slowed their pace and gradually forced them toward the Rabbit Heroine and others, like driving a pack of hyenas against lions. Anyone attempting to escape elsewhere would be chased down and killed. The two of them surrounded the hundred Demonic Messengers on Shu Dao Mountain... although there might not be a hundred left now.

Yet even so, no one dared to take the lead, and the Demonic Messengers were gathered outside the boundary line, not daring to cross. They were all waiting, waiting for someone else to die first, waiting to pick up the leftovers, no one willing to be cannon fodder.

"Trash is trash. Can’t count on them." Helan Jade spat, "I thought I could save some effort."

Helan Xun said nothing. He knew Helan Jade just wanted to toy with the Demonic Messengers, but if capturing the Rabbit Heroine named by the Ancestor could be done just like that, it would be for the best, so he allowed Helan Jade to act as he pleased.

"Two sirs, this humble monk is Bodhi."

Wherever the Helan Family went, the Demonic Messengers scattered, like a drop of soapy water falling into oil, powerfully cleansing. As everyone retreated, Bodhi, who had remained motionless, stood out like a rock in a torrent, now even taking the initiative to step forward and speak to them.

Some Demonic Messengers who thought they had connections with Bodhi couldn’t help but hope, could it be that Bodhi was with them—

Whoosh!

Helan Jade, extremely impatient, slashed with a sword. Though it looked like a casual strike, the countless corpses on the ground had already proven that in front of them, defense was tantamount to turning oneself into a shelled peanut, adding a bit of fun to their slaughter.

Heavy Rain!

In a moment of evasion, Bodhi triggered Heavy Rain, his Zen Staff transformed into an iron river, striking Helan Jade from all directions! This was the strongest offensive of Shu Dao Mountain’s three Great Guardians, ’Evil Monk Bodhi,’ even Blood Phase and Beiyou dared not confront it head-on!

However, Helan Jade merely wielded his sword to protect his head, completely disregarding the rest of his body, allowing the Zen Staff to smash into all his vital points within an instant!

"Haha, is this the Heavy Rain?" Helan Jade coughed up a mouthful of blood mixed with internal organ fragments, but his face broke into laughter: "It is indeed the best of the Third Transition attack. If it weren’t for the Foundation Establishment Ancestor’s protection, I wouldn’t be a match for you, you bald donkey! But if you think this alone will let you survive, you’re overestimating yourself."

As he spoke, his injuries were healing at a pace visible to the naked eye, his nearly crushed upper body was sprouting new flesh, restoring him to his original state within moments, and even the Hundred Beasts Tattoo remained completely intact. Helan Jade needed this effect; the Demon Dao, strongest in assault from Shu Dao Mountain, didn’t even have the qualification to leave a scar on him. He was already bored with these trash; it was the Three Great Guardians that were the targets worthy of his attention!

Yet Prajna shook his head calmly, "You cannot kill me."

"Why? You’re not surnamed Helan, and you hold Si Wuxie’s heritage, more importantly, you are my Demon Dao resource." Helan Jade twisted his neck: "You can’t possibly think you have the qualification to negotiate terms with us?"

"Based on the injuries on your body."

Injuries? Helan Jade was taken aback, and he looked down to discover many bruises caused by blunt force on his body. They were incredibly faint, so faint that they shouldn’t exist. Even without the Ancestor’s favor, he should be able to heal these injuries instantly with his Qi Blood alone.

Unhealed injuries, only one possibility.

"Calamity?" Helan Xun, silent and steady, approached Helan Jade, taking over the conversation.

"That’s right, I have passed Si Wuxie’s test and successfully mastered the Power of Calamity," Prajna replied.

"You’ve inherited Si Wuxie’s Calamity lineage?"

"No, the Calamity lineage was taken by Donor Rabbit; Si Wuxie has two Heirs of Calamity." Prajna glanced at the distant Rabbit Heroine: "But that one likely won’t cooperate with you."

"After I sold the information of Si Wuxie’s heritage, the Great Guardian Bodhi lost its value in the eyes of your Helan Family, but what about the Heir of Calamity Prajna? Does your Helan Family wish to cultivate a Heir of Calamity, who is an enemy of the world, yourselves, or utilize me, this ready-made Heir of Calamity?"

Helan Jade’s face darkened, even when Rabbit Heroine spoke insolently just now, he wasn’t this angry. After all, no matter how much the little white rabbit curses, it’s still cute, whereas Prajna is just a bug, a bug that thinks it can negotiate with the Helan Family! The only end for a bug is to be crushed, its juices bursting for the thrill of destruction!

"Prajna, once the mission is done, you’ll leave with us." Helan Xun looked towards Helan Jade, "Jade, do you understand?"

Helan Jade could only nod; the matter of the Heir of Calamity was vital, without the Ancestor’s instructions, they dared not make decisions on their own, and since the Ancestor remained silent, perhaps he was indifferent, but they preferred to hand over this monk to the Ancestor’s judgment, not risking any displeasure from him.

"Since it is so, then help us capture that young girl," Helan Xun said, "According to your intel, she is merely a Second Turn Heavy Rain Messenger, shouldn’t be hard for you to handle?"

Before Prajna could answer, the Demonic Messengers assembled in the distance suddenly erupted in relentless cries of agony, even more piercing than when they were pursued by the two from the Helan Family.

Looking over, they saw two girls, one large and one small, killing their way out of the crowd, Rabbit Heroine wielding the Seven-Star Sword in her right hand, the Seven-Step Zen in her left, flailing wildly yet the sword enveloped in all directions, carving the Demons Dao into seventy or eighty pieces, leaving no survivor missed! Pharmacist’s Wish followed closely behind, shattering and piercing any Demonic Messenger trying to attack stealthily or from afar. One near, one far, one area, one precision, easily breaking through the encirclement of dozens, strolling through the mountain of corpses and sea of blood!

At first, the Demonic Messengers were slow to react, given how fast Rabbit Heroine and Pharmacist’s Wish were slaughtering them. As they realized Hell was approaching them, the hostility they had managed to muster collapsed instantly, and they turned to flee without hesitation.

But behind them were the two from the Helan Family, responsible for blocking their path; the good part was, they died more swiftly and without any pain. The Helan Family and Rabbit Heroine, pinching the Demonic Messengers between them, were like two meat grinders, annihilating the remaining Demonic Messengers, rolling up a tempest of blood and gore.

In comparison, however, the Helan Family was fiercer, causing most Demonic Messengers only to turn and charge at Rabbit Heroine, exchanging their lives for Rabbit Heroine’s information — just as the Helan Family had hoped.

"Impossible, impossible!" The wounded yet undead Demonic Messenger wailed on the ground, scrambling away from Rabbit Heroine, face filled with disbelief and fear: "My defense barrier isn’t broken...why can you cut directly into me! Your weapon isn’t a Demonic Path Token at all..."

"It’s Calamity."

Helan Xun pierced the wailing Demonic Messenger with a Soul-Breaking Spear, gazing solemnly at Rabbit Heroine, he said, "And it’s a calamity that’s already deadly enough!"
