Nathaniel Quinn opened the apartment door. The entire place was pitch-black, a single beam of light piercing the darkness as he pushed the door open.

Seraphina Sutton was curled up on the sofa. Her face, buried in her knees, slowly lifted to fix a vacant gaze on Nathaniel Quinn, who stood at the door.

"Seraphina, how did you end up like this?"

Nathaniel Quinn walked over to Seraphina Sutton and crouched down, looking at her with a pained expression.

"Nathaniel, Kaden won’t see me. He refuses to see me."

Seraphina Sutton’s eyes were red and swollen, clear evidence that she had just been crying. Tears still clung to the corners of her eyes, and tear tracks stained her cheeks.

Seeing this, Nathaniel Quinn let out a long sigh.

Today was the day of the A University medical department competition, and she wanted to see how her students were doing.

"Cole." Nathaniel Quinn knew Kaden Xavier was at the police station, so he had come to find him.

Wren Wynter shot Nathaniel Quinn a dirty look, then pointed at him and snapped at Kaden Xavier, "Kaden Xavier, is this your idea of handling things? Didn’t you say you were going to make him turn himself in?"
