Car-hailing Driver: Rewards from Complaints
Chapter 393 - 196: The Tang Family Is the Greatest Backer (Part 4)
Yang Chen: "Alright! If we take Mingyang Road as a detour, the actual fare will be slightly more than what you see as the estimated fare. I need to make this clear to you in advance."
Female Passenger: "Why? Isn’t this a flat rate?"
Yang Chen: "No, this is a premium car service that theoretically meets any reasonable travel request from passengers. What you see is the fare according to navigation; taking Mingyang Road will increase the distance, so the actual fare will be a bit higher."
Female Passenger: "Are you kidding? I’ll only pay what I see here, not a penny more! If you dare charge me an extra cent, I’ll definitely complain about you overcharging!"
Yang Chen: "Miss, it’s not me charging you; it’s the platform. If you don’t pay, you won’t be able to book rides on Bibi anymore once you get out."
Female Passenger: "I don’t care! I’m only paying the 25 yuan and 86 cents I saw. If there’s even one penny more, I won’t pay, and I’ll report you for overcharging. You’re threatening I can’t use Bibi anymore? Look at you!"
Damn, how come I can’t get through to people like this?
The ride-sharing fare is calculated and charged by the platform and then transferred to the driver’s account. The driver neither collects nor can collect the fare, so why can’t this be understood?
Yang Chen doesn’t actually mind the few extra bucks, but this woman’s words are really infuriating.
I’m not going to indulge her; I’ll follow the navigation, surely nothing will go wrong.
Even if she complains, it won’t matter; it won’t hold up.
Yang Chen continued straight according to the navigation, not turning onto Mingyang Road.
The female passenger blew her fuse, saying: "I told you to take Mingyang Road! Can’t you understand human language?"
Yang Chen: "I can hear human language, but if it’s not a human speaking, I might not understand; I need to see its body language. For example, if a dog barks, I need to see if it’s baring its teeth or wagging its tail to know if it’s being fierce or playful with me."
Female Passenger: "Watch how you talk! Can you even speak properly?"
Yang Chen: "I can talk, but can you? I told you not following the navigation would increase some fare, and it’s the platform that directly calculates and charges it, nothing to do with me. What do you mean by what you said earlier? Since you can’t accept the increase, I’ll follow the navigation. Suit yourself if you want to complain; it won’t hold up anyway."
Female Passenger: "You..."
Seeing Yang Chen wasn’t scared at all, the female passenger realized complaining might indeed not succeed and her arrogance quickly diminished.
Over forty minutes later, they finally reached Longmei Hospital.
The female passenger stormed out of the car angrily, pointing at Yang Chen and threatening: "Just wait for me to give you a bad review! Trash driver!"
Yang Chen: "Go ahead and give a bad review; see if I can’t just remove it! You think you can threaten me with a bad review. Acting like an Old Buddha when taking an online ride, spoilt!"
Female Passenger: "You... You..."
In her rage, the female passenger couldn’t catch her breath, clutched her forehead, and collapsed onto the hood of Yang Chen’s car, then bounced off onto the ground.
"Damn! No way? Is this a new trick for fraudulent injury claims?" Yang Chen said speechlessly, quickly getting out to check the situation.
"Miss? Miss?" Yang Chen called twice, but the female passenger didn’t respond.
Yang Chen hurriedly shouted towards the hospital entrance: "Call a doctor! Quickly!"
Yang Chen didn’t know first aid and didn’t dare to touch her, not knowing why she fainted.
Soon, the medical staff came with a stretcher and quickly took the female passenger in for resuscitation.
What a mess this is, really unlucky.
Yang Chen parked the car and rushed in to check.
Although it wasn’t Yang Chen’s fault, if something happened to the female passenger, her family would surely hold him accountable; it’s standard practice.
Shortly, the female passenger woke up.
The doctor did a thorough check-up and found no major issues, mainly anemia and cervical erosion.
This was due to her own condition and had nothing to do with Yang Chen.
Just as Yang Chen was about to leave, the female passenger immediately said: "Stop! You’re just going to leave? Aren’t you going to take responsibility for me?"
Yang Chen looked baffled, asking: "Miss, your anemia and, well, what does that have to do with me?"
Female Passenger: "If you hadn’t angered me, would I have anemia? If you hadn’t hit me, would I have cervical erosion? You angered me into fainting and caused my cervical erosion, you think you can just walk away? Do you find that reasonable?"
In an instant, the whole ward fell silent.
Whether the anemia was caused by anger is debatable, and the cervical erosion was supposedly caused by Yang Chen’s car?
Even if the condition was caused by hitting, it wasn’t from this car.
Who knows which individuals caused it.
