Chapter 362: Chapter 362: Real World

The Hymn of the Battlefield was coming to an end. Rowan felt like he was having a long dream that he couldn’t explain.

It was only supposed to be a LARPing event but instead of role-playing, they did it for real.

He went through many things. War. Two wives. And even named a Minor Lord within the Dark Court.

Rowan was feasting with his mates at the banquet when Selina came over to see him.

Rowan quickly stood up, "My queen!"

"Please, Rowan. We’re leaving soon. No need for formality anymore." Selina smiled.

"No, my queen. In this life or the next, we will still be your followers." Rowan bowed gently.

His mates did the same.

It was an odd feeling. They didn’t know they would be like that for someone else. But Mater and Selina had some sort of nobility to them that made people follow. The fact that they won every battles only further enhanced that.

Selina chuckled, "I am glad you’re not hating me for forcing you to waste 34 years of your life."

"There was no waste, my queen. Looks at all of this. The trees sing. The winds speak. Even the rivers could reply to me. This is something the real world could never provide. It wasn’t wasted at all."

"What are you planning to do when you get back, Rowan?"

Rowan rubbed his chin in deep thoughts, "I’m thinking of returning to my old life. I do have my wives as well so I have to figure that out. Other than that, nothing much."

"What if I tell you there are more battles back in the real world."

"There is?" Rowan smiled. The bloodlust of many war came back immediately on his face. He wasn’t scarred by it at all. He missed it. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Psychics thrived with Negative Emotions. The war gave them the perfect opportunity to be themselves.

"There are other worlds that want to invade our world. Our fight here doesn’t end. If you want to join us, I welcome you to our Illuminati organization."

"It would be my honor, my queen. And my men?"

"They can join too, Rowan."

"Hell yeah!" The mates at the table raised their fists in excitement.

The servants also spread out and talked with many other tables. Surprisingly, most of them agreed to join the Illuminati. The only ones that didn’t have their own reasons, their families and responsibilities in the real world were priority.

"So... How many do we have?" The black cat said.

"Around four hundred people agreed to join us, Master." Aurora said.

"That much?! Sheesh. These people were made for war, not the tame modern world."

The black cat looked over to Erin, "Do it, Erin."

"Yes, Master." Erin nodded.

She used the Call of Everlasting Wilds again. This time to sever the connection of the Hymn of the Battlefield.

Mater flew up to the air. "See you in the next life!"

"See you in the next life, Lord Warlock!" The crowd cheered.

Bright light washed over the entire place. When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves back to the AE Forges.

Their battle scars disappeared. They returned to their actual bodies.

But there was something left behind. Their powers were still there. Their souls were still powerful. Their Psycho Force remained the same.

Lily laughed out loud, "We still have our power! Yes!"

Daphne checked her body. He was not a Revenant no more. But its power was still in her. Her skin had these red lightning bolts, the sign of the power of a Revenant. But now they looked like artistic tattoo more than the mark of a Specter.

"Crazy... I even have my Revenant power."

Rowan opened his eyes. He was sitting in his office.

"I wonder..."

Rowan walked out of the door to see two women rushing at him. They hugged him tightly.

"Hello, ladies." Rowan smiled.

Nothing was lost. Their power remained and their conections were still there. They had only different bodies now.

The Hymn of the Battlefield came to an end.

Particular enough, a few paparazzies came to the site at night. The rumor that this was a secret filming location attracted them.

"Look, Jean Mollison is here. A few unknown actors are also here. I would be stupid if I believe that this is only a roleplay event. Just come in and start taking pictures, alright?"

"Roger that!"

The paparazzies approached AE Forges. They saw a group of men wearing medieval clothing standing near the entrance.

The paparazzies raised their cameras immediately. The shutter noises echoed.

The group of men snapped their heads toward them immediately. They rushed at the paparazzies in an inhuman speed and they coordinated perfectly like soldiers.

The men took their cameras and broke them immediately.

Then they shoved the paparazzies toward the ground.

The leader of the men grabbed a paparazzi’s throar. "Who sent you to spy us? Is it the Sun Court?"

"What?! What are you talking about?" The paparazzi tried to speak through his squeeze throat.

Another man tapped the leader on the shoulder. "We returned. There is no Sun Court here."

"Oh, right." The leader dropped the paparazzi. He noticed a badge hanging on the photographer’s neck. "Are they just reporters?"

’Reporters.’ A term that felt so unfamiliar.

"Scram. And don’t return."

The reporters nodded repeatedly and got away.

’Damn. These roleplayers are crazy. They don’t know what is real and not anymore.’

The Hymn ended. Many meda outlets tried to fish out what happened within the event. But no one said anything.

The families and friends also noticed a huge difference from the participants. They seemed more serious, more mature, and especially more true to their emotions. This led to drastic changes in their personal lives that the families and friends couldn’t explain.

Bella, a struggling actress, joined the event for some cash. She was a shallow mean girl before, but now she had grown into her own woman. She had no interest in the media industry anymore. Now, she was a proud member of the Illuminati.

She was on the way back to her former apartment.

"It should be this way, right?" Bella barely remembered where she lived.

She noticed a group of girls walking toward her. They were more successful actress compared ro her.

"Look at that! Isn’t that Bella the loser?" A mean girl teased and laughed.

Bella walked past them and said, "Shut the fuck up or I pull your tongue right out."
