CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror
Chapter 380: Mid-Term
"Half your school year has passed, Selina. How do you feel about it." The black cat yawned. He really didn’t need to sleep no more but the feeling came times to times.
The two of them were watching the ocean on the large yatch that was carrying all the students. Mater’s black fur blew in the wind.
"It was nice. The classmates are enjoyable. The challenges are exciting." Selina petted Mater. "But it wasn’t as exciting as going with you."
The black cat smirked. "That is obvious."
The yatch arrived at the remote island. This was where the mid-term exam had always been hosted in the Institute. Some called this the island of death because of how many Psychics died in this place. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
The Institute tried their best to protect its students. But these were the core power of Valeria. They had to put a bit of pressure onto these Psychics.
Mater had no worries for Selina, however. Because she was already a Peak Hazard Psychic, the same level as the senior students.
"You told me we will be looking for my parents once we’re done with this, right?" Selina said.
"That’s right. I should be visiting my father and mother in law."
Selina chuckled. She was curious how her parents when they saw that their future son in law was a cat with the mind of hundreds years old Warlock.
Selina entered the remote island with her class. The other class was also there.
"Lalo’s class has fewer members than usual. What happened to him was really unimaginable." Quinn said.
The annihilation of the Von Schattenbergs. It terrified the students in the Institute. They had all kinds of theories on who wiped them off the map. They didn’t know that the culprit was a student of their own school.
Principal Graves was there to give a speech for the mid-term examination. It was a short and sweet speech to raise the moral of the students and warned them about the danger that they might face.
Professor Howard led Selina and her classmates to their own barrack. There, he explained more about what the examination actually was.
"Each class is now its own operational force. Our goal is to survive on this island, collect the necessary resources and survive." Professor Howard said.
"So it’s just a survival examination?" Clive said.
"Not that simple. Survive isn’t enough. You need to attack other classes as well. Treat each class as its own factions. Every class had their nation flag. If a class surrenders or you capture their flag, they will join your faction. The biggest faction in the end of the examination is the winner." Howard said.
"Should be simple enough." Selina shrugged.
She was a crucial part of the Dark Court in Everlasting Wilds. She followed Mater around in many of his war meetings. She was too familiar with these game.
"Alright, listen up! I will be your queen from now on!" Selina said.
Howard sweated. He wasn’t even finished speaking yet and this Goth girl had already tsken initiative.
"Queen? Is our class following monarchy?" Astrid said.
"Yes, we are. And I will be its leader. If any of you want to take my spot, you can challenge me." Selina said.
No one said anything. The person with the most chances to overthrow her was Quill and he didn’t even step forward.
"Good. Now. We will split out kingdom into several parts. Astrid is the Lord of Craft. You and Miles are responsible for making and maintaining Psycho Items for the Kingdom. Quill is the Lord of War, you will be the commander in our battle. Clive is the Lord of the Strategy, he’s the main advisor and can take part in any aspect of our Kingdom as he likes. Today we will finish setting up our kingdom and we will attack the others tomorrow!" Selina said.
Howard sweated even more. "We have our own flag. It’s better to gather resources and build our base first before attacking other classes."
"Don’t worry, Professor. We will do that as well. Once there’re more people come."
"Who’s coming?"
Many classes came and united under Selina’s flag. Lucy was the first to join with her class. She was the strongest in her class so no one could deny her command. The Professor was only there to guide and protect so he couldn’t stop Lucy.
Then many more classes came. These included many members of the Illuminati.
Yes, the Illuminati also infiltrated the Institute. After all, they had a lot of Psychics and Selina had use her connections to let them join the Institute.
In a single day, her class already had more than fifty people. The largest it had ever been in the shortest amount of time. What surprising was that the large part of people actually went long with her Kingdom play and treated her like an actual Queen.
The others had to play along.
"What is even going on?" Howard was completely dumbfounded.
While the other classes were trying to collect the resources and build their bases, Selina had already established a royal court with many positions within.
The Illuminati members also knew how to manipulate matter with their Chaos so their base quickly came to life. A base was a stretch. Their main building was a miniature castle with its own army barrack, fortress, and even armory.
Howard watches everything with wide eyes. Selina was so efficient that he thought maybe she had been doing it for a long time. He wasn’t wrong.
The next day. A group of scout from another class was approaching Selina’s territory.
They froze when they saw the miniature castle.
"What the hell?" One scout whispered.
Suddenly the ground sank and they were caught in a trap by Selina’s Royal Guards.
The Psychics emerged from the shadow with their Psycho Blades aiming at the throats of the scouts.
"Wait! Wait! Don’t kill us!" For a second, the students forgot this was an examination. The enemies were too bloodlust and they even had their own uniform.
They couldn’t gelp but think, ’Where the hell did they even get these?’
Selina walked out from the shadow. She wore a black glamour dress that was obvious not suitable for a survival scenario.
"Where is your base?" Selina said.
