<Zero Distance Strike (MYTHIC)>:-

A Mythical strike born from the rejection of distance.

After marking a target’s energy signature, attacks launched through this skill are treated as having already reached their destination.

Range, barriers, and spatial separation become largely irrelevant.

Cost: Variable.

Cooldown: None.

Note: For this strike, the journey does not exist. Only the impact.

...

Short, precise, straight to the point..

Honestly, this was my third time going through the description of this skill and I am blown away everytime..

As if it wasn’t ridiculous enough for me to have gotten my hands on a skill that stops time, I’ve now got one that may be even more ridiculous, afterall, this thing had been able to still hit even after I froze time..

The first time I’d seen the description of this skill, I’d rushed to scour the rest of this damned place, looking for another faceless spawn, hellbent on pushing this thing further, but no dice...

"Sigh... well, I guess it’s plan B then.." I sighed..

I wasn’t all that discouraged, because just as I’d done with <Chronostasis>, I already knew which direction I was taking this thing in and if what I had in mind actually came to fruition then I wouldn’t need to take Darius’ shit anymore..

Yes, he may have a mythical talent that probably came with a bunch of crazier abilities than even <Chronostasis>.

Yes, I didn’t have a full idea of his true strength, afterall, if I could travel a few seconds through time, who’s to say his talent doesn’t have something that ridiculous too? Or even stronger?

I’d just faced something that was significantly weaker than me, yet it had pushed me to the ropes just because it had a very unfair skill, so No, I wasn’t taking Darius, someone many times more dangerous than the faceless spawn, lightly..

But then again, so what?

I hadn’t missed the newest Supreme law that had appeared within the laws tab, <Heat>, another absurd concept.

If my plans for both the law of heat and the skill <Zero Distance Strike> were successful, then, I could see a path toward dealing with Darius.

Now, why was I in such a hurry? Not taking my time to get stronger? Afterall, if the guy was still hiding his hand, then it means he doesn’t truly know what a threat I was. While that would’ve been fine any other time, it wasn’t now, Because I was having a very dreadful feeling.

It felt like some bullshit scenario was creeping closer and only one bitch comes to mind whenever I feel this way..

"Lord help me, you bastard author, you pull some stupid nonsense with Melissa..." I had to end Darius, and fast, I didn’t have the time to go through more bullshit cliches, I don’t want anything messing with my adventures..

"Hooo... alright then. Let’s get this over with."

Pooof!!!

Multiple figures appeared within the skies above..

"HI THERE, ME!!!" Over fifty clones had appeared within the skies, their figures casting a shadow over me and Malachi..

Half were mine, the others were Malachi’s

"Yo.." I gave a lazy wave towards my clones..

"Damn! Making us do all that work and not even a simple thank you."

"Dude’s got his head up his ass, expecting a thanks is just taking a piss."

"With the way he’s grinning, he probably came across something good."

"Well, that’s his business, I’ve done my part, now I’m leaving, peace out bitches!" It started with one clone, then the rest followed.

"Peace!"

"Not gonna miss you fools!"

"Man, sucks to be a clone for real."

"Yay.. rest, sweet sweet rest."

My lips twitched as I heard the bastards snicker and jeer as they vanished one by one.

Before long, all the clones had disappeared, leaving behind the first clone I created.

"You just had to make true clones didn’t you?" I threw a nasty look at the first clone.

"Hey, don’t look at me. How else was I to be sure they were going to get the job done? You didn’t actually expect me give directions whilst fighting right?" The bastard shrugged.

"You could’ve, it’s not that difficult."

"Meh. Kills the fun, you know what I mean." He grinned..

"Haaa.. forget it, did you at least hunt down enough?" I asked, exhausted.

"Heh.. check your inventory, thank me later."

Poof!

With that, the clone vanished in a cloud of white smoke..

"Man. Even your clones are as insufferable as you." Malachi’s voice sounded from behind me.

"Hey, hey, hey, friend, don’t say that, you’ll hurt my feelings." I gave a mock hurt expression.

"Stop copying me!"

"Ha! Make me."

That shut him up real quick..

"Haaa..." he sighed, ruffling his fur, as he smiled, his expression turning bright..

"You might have cheated, but I won’t lie, I had a lot of fun, hahahahaha.... Let’s see what the others at home think when I show them just how monstrous my new friend is, that’ll show them just who the true monster is." He laughed.

I couldn’t help smiling as the jovial monkey regained his mood..

"Say.. how are you able to hold up that many true clones without feeling drained." He asked, furry arms draped around my shoulders like he wasn’t just threatening me a few moments ago.

"Hmm? Not gonna go the usual ’that’s my inheritance skill, no one is allowed to use it’ route?" I asked, a brow raised in amusement.

"Hah. What nonsense is that? If I could plagiarize other people’s abilities so quickly, you think I’d listen to anyone telling me not to use it? It’s your fault for having such cool abilities, what do I care what the history behind it is, all’s fair in love and war, no?" The monkey grinned manically...

I already said me and this guy could get along nicely if he wasn’t a douchepiece, now, I believe it wholeheartedly as I laughed..

"Hahahahahahaha.... Rightly said my friend! What do we care if you can’t guard your ability? Since I can use it, I will!"..

After getting it out of my system, I finally decided to answer his earlier question.

"Well, to tell you the truth, it isn’t really that difficult to do. In fact, I can maintain at least three times the number you saw earlier with no strain whatsoever, my energy tank isn’t anything you can begin to imagine." I wasn’t bragging, with all I’d done here, my current energy capacity was reading:

Chaos Energy(CE): 100,000,000

That’s what you get when you leave Devour active as a form of energy regeneration in a space saturated with an insane amount of corrupted mana.

That’s a hundred million of an energy that’s 100x more quantitative and qualitative than mana.

That was enough energy to keep hundreds is true clones active without feeling even a tiny strain.

Honestly? I wasn’t even in the mood to convert those numbers into mana, because the digits would be making me feel like I’ve got Infinite mana in an apocalypse..

"Ahem.. anyways, I guess all we can do now is wait for the timer to end." There was only about a few minutes or so left before the entire excursion ended, not enough to hunt for anything.

I mean, with Instant Transmission I could, but there wasn’t any need.

There was nothing else I’d gain from hunting down these abominations, at least not the ones in this region.

All of a sudden I was excited for what the core region of this place would have since the inner region already gave something like a faceless spawn, something that was wielding a Mythic skill.

Buzzz!!!

My excited thoughts were cut short as my card started buzzing..

"Hmm. I guess time’s up." A white light engulfed both our figures as we disappeared from the inner regions of the land of the damned, heading back to our meeting point.

"I wonder if we beat the old man’s expectations." I couldn’t help thinking as with another light flash, I reappeared at the place we’d first arrived with the old man..
