Children of a Lesser God
Chapter 683: Why Does It Burn?
Laz had no idea what is was or why it happened.
"Maybe something to do with this pocket dimension? Was it because I agreed the help the demons? Huh... well... I’ve never agreed to help a race before, just a person. So... eh. But that’s kind of crazy, isn’t it? Why would a bell ring just because I said I would help them?"
Laz thought about it for a little more, but then gave up. After all, it wasn’t the weirdest thing he had seen and might not even be the weirdest thing he’d see today. Just as Laz was getting up to leave, having finished the last of his meal, he heard the door behind him open and Nesha walked in. Her face strangely looked more red than normal which was saying something considering the normal red color of her skin.
"Oh? Hello. I uh... never got the chance to thank you for the things you’d given me at the fortress..." Laz said, starting the conversation.
"It’s not a big deal. I could see that such a thing would be helpful to you and uh... well... I figured I would probably need your help in the future anyway. So it was an investment into making sure you stayed alive. And you did..." Nesha said, stumbling on her words. When she had convinced her mother and the others to come here, she had mention that there was a man who caught her interest. Little did she know that her mother had already heard a great deal about Laz so hearing that her daughter had made a connection with him excited her greatly and she didn’t hesitate to have everyone come to support the Empress. While their people were long lived, there was only one elder who still lived who had been around when they first wandered into this world and she just so happened to have been friends with the Empress. It was actually this elder’s idea to make the request of the Empress in an effort to save their people. Needless to say, Nesha had no idea that such a thing would be asked of the man she found.
She wanted to apologize, but didn’t even know how to start.
"Well I thank you all the same for believing in me. I was glad your people made it out as well," Laz responded.
"When we saw what they had done to you and a few of the other legions, we knew that the commander had no idea what he was doing and therefore was just going to waste us, possibly sending us out as another sacrifice just to protect those who were loyal to himself. There was no way we would just die like that."
"A good choice."
"So.,. about the thing my mom asked of you... you don’t have to worry about it..." Nesha said, trying to bring it up and apologize, but Laz stopped her.
"Actually, even if I wanted to, I feel like I would be unable to go against my own decision. It’s strange, but now I feel a push towards making what I promised a reality. Like something deep within me compels me to follow through with what I decided," Laz said, after thinking about it.
"But that would me..."
"I know what that would mean. I’m not saying I’m ready for it, but who ever is truly ready? Besides, it’s the difference between seeing a race die or survive. It’s not a decision to be taken lightly, but nor is it something I could just brush away. Ever since my blood awoke, years ago... my mindset has been slowly changing. Did you know, on my world, it’s very unusual to have more than one wife and even looked down upon in most countries. And fathering children just to father children? Only someone rich enough and powerful enough could do it without receiving scorn and pushback. Yet, right now... I feel like it’s my duty to do so..." Laz explained.
Nesha didn’t know how to respond. After all, at most, the women in their tribe had only one daughter. If a women could actually have two daughters, they would be inscribed within the ancestral records for such a contribution. But more often than not, even if a mother was able to bring home several men who were willing, they would never father any children. Or, in some cases, they and the child would die during child birth, marking an even greater tragedy.
For one man to say he would help father their entire tribe... it was almost a ridiculous notion. But the great elder had suggested it and even the Empress had agreed.
"But isn’t it just a death sentence for you?" Nesha finally said. She had heard the stories of Asura and a few other races, but even that never guaranteed anything.
’So what if he’s half Asura? Doesn’t that mean he has even less of a chance of survival?’ This was Nesha’s biggest worry.
"I somehow feel... it will be fine?" Laz responded, although even he didn’t know where his confidence came from.
"You say that... but you don’t know... As children... we are raised watching. So that we can understand. So that we won’t be surprised when it happens to us... I’ve see what the poison of our bodies does to a man. I’ve seen what can happen to them, even if they are lucky enough to survive. But you’re saying, without knowing anything, that you’ll be fine?" Nesha shot back, madder than she had intended to be.
"Weren’t you the one who tried to get me into bed first?" Laz responded, not letting her anger affect him.
"DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT THE RATE OF SUCCESS IS WITH THAT?" She yelled back, even more angry at his lack of concern.
"I’m guessing very low...?" Laz said back, trying to put on a calming smile.
"THAT’S RIGHT... That’s right. It is... Only men who see nothing but death in their future are willing to even attempt it. But how can someone so close to death even be worthy enough to give us their seeds. That’s why we sought you all out. It was such a situation that never happens. And do you know how many of those dozen men who took the plunge survived? Or even how many resulted in a pregnacy? Well... the answer is zero... on both accounts. Instead, we were just an option for the men to suicide. DO YOU KNOW HOW THAT MAKES US FEEL?" Nesha yelled, trying her best to hold it back, but unable to stop the tears.
Laz was surprised to see such a little seductress suddenly become such a sad child... but he hadn’t given it proper thought before either.
’All I’m doing is mocking their pain, huh?’ Laz thought to himself before leaning forward, wrapping his arms around her bare waist and bringing her in close for a hug.
’Still can’t stand seeing a crying woman, can you?’ Laz asked himself.
Nesha stiffened up. Of all the responses she expected, this wasn’t one of them.
"What are you...?"
"Shh..." Laz said, embracing her tighter. Just like this, he stood, his strong arms wrapped around her as her stiffened body gradually loosened up and she felt herself melt into him, feeling the heat from his flesh and smelling of scent of his body.
"It’s not fair..." She said, stuck between being hurt and being embarrassed. The only thing she could do at the moment was cling to him, a rock in a storm she never realized she was in.
"It’s not. But I’ve found things rarely are in life."
"It’s shit."
"Yeah. It is."
"Can I..."
Laz didn’t wait for her to continue. When she picked up her head, Laz lowered his and kissed her on the lips. It was warm and wet, but arousing.
’I’ve kissed a lot of women before, but why is this so arousing?’ Laz could feel himself get immediately hard, just by sucking on her lips for a few mere seconds.
After almost a minute, they broke away with Nesha panting heavily, like she had just run a marathon.
"What did you do to me?" She asked, looking into his eyes.
Laz returned the look, finding the exotic black eyes, red skin and white hair to be irresistible. Even as they kissed and their foreheads came close, allowing her horns to rest on his forehead, all Laz could feel was the heat from them.
The struggle stopped as soon as they gave in, stripping each other of their clothing in a mad dash to see who would finish first. Once naked, Nesha stepped back as she tried to calm herself, giving Laz a full view of her body. Seeing the red skin contrast with the black nipples gave Laz a shiver of excitement. While they might have been called the Demon race, he couldn’t help but see her as a devil and that just made him want her even more.
Laz didn’t let her rest, lunging forward, he picked her up until her ass rested on the dinner table and her legs instinctively wrapped around his waist. While he would normally worry about a need to make sure she was properly turned on before receiving his large member, her could feel the dripping wetness from between her legs and knew that no such problem existed.
"Are you sure?" Nesha asked, retaining the last vestige of her sanity.
Laz’s response was to reach down between them and bring his might rod to her entrance. Before she could respond, he began to slide it in, inch by inch, slowly, as he spread her walls apart. Pulling back, he then went in more, again and again, like a battering ram breaking down a gate.
Once he was fully in, the fire began to assault him, as though he had stuck his dick in a furnace of molten metal.
"Why does it burn?" Laz asked, looking up at Nesha who turned shy and tried to push him away.
"STOP... THAT MEANS THE POISON...."
But Laz didn’t stop, his body feeling more invigorated than before as his black flame roared to life.
"I never said I didn’t like it...." Laz responded with a grin before ramming back and forward again, causing him to slip deep inside areas that shouldn’t have been reachable.
Nesha could only through her head back, moan and scream, before she was forced to hold on for dear life.
