Clan Building System: I'm not the Protagonist?!
Chapter 440: Fang Qingyue wishes to take down the villain, can she?
Fang Yuan bit his lip, unsure of how to respond.
Should he resent her for being kidnapped?
He took a slow, deep breath.
No.
It wasn’t as though he could truly blame her.
She was a Human Immortal. Someone at that realm possessed the power to do as they pleased.
If anything, he should be grateful she hadn’t flattened the entire world on a whim.
Letting out another breath, he said sincerely,
"I’m sure there are many things you can teach me. I’m willing to learn."
Zhao Lusi suddenly fell silent, she looked deeply troubled with her teeth biting on her lips.
Fang Yuan blinked in surprise.
No way... Is she actually debating whether teaching me is worth it or not?
"...I’ll make sure you have as much wine as you want."
"Really?"
Her eyes lit up instantly.
"Alright! No take-backs. Deal!"
She immediately extended her hand.
Fang Yuan reluctantly reached out to shake it.
"You know, Master... shouldn’t you be eager to teach when your disciple asks?"
By the time he finished speaking, he realized Zhao Lusi wasn’t listening at all.
Her face was already full of excitement at the thought of endless wine.
Fang Yuan sighed.
He decided to give up.
Before Fang Yuan could say another word, the surrounding space rippled and beautiful figure stepped out of the void.
She had a long black hair, with a golden hairpin keeping it at place. Her lips were red and her dark brown eyes stared at Zhao Lusi without blinking.
While the smile on her face remained as gentle as ever.
Without a single word, Lin Zhaoyue raised a hand and the space around Zhao Lusi instantly froze.
Countless spatial cracks bloomed like shattered glass, each one capable of swallowing mountains whole.
At the same time, an invisible pressure descended from every direction, attempting to crush Zhao Lusi where she stood.
Zhao Lusi didn’t even look up.
She merely yawned and the terrifying spatial prison collapsed on its own, as though it had never existed.
"Hm?"
She glanced sideways.
"Oh, it’s you."
Lin Zhaoyue answered with a palm strike instead.
Zhao Lusi casually caught the incoming palm with one hand.
Boom.
The collision sent an indescribable shockwave across the sky.
Yet beneath Zhao Lusi’s feet, not even a pebble shifted.
The moment her palm was blocked, emerald-green spiritual qi erupted from her body.
The barren ground beneath them instantly came alive.
Towering trees burst from the earth, their roots spreading like dragons beneath the land.
Countless vines lashed through the sky weaving together into an enormous cage that sealed every direction.
Flowers bloomed across the battlefield.
They were breathtakingly beautiful.
The instant they blossomed, endless clouds of pollen drifted through the air, carrying countless poisons, paralysis toxins, sleeping spores and soul-numbing fragrances.
Roots erupted from below like gigantic serpents, attempting to bind Zhao Lusi’s limbs.
Faced with the overwhelming assault, Zhao Lusi simply smiled,"...Illusion Domain."
In an instant one of the towering trees suddenly bent over and lightly smacked Lin Zhaoyue on the forehead with a branch.
Tap.
Lin Zhaoyue paused.
She slowly turned toward the tree.
Another vine happily tied itself into a bow before presenting her with a flower.
Meanwhile, every poisonous blossom she had painstakingly created began releasing nothing more than a pleasant floral fragrance.
The enormous wooden cage quietly opened a path for Zhao Lusi.
Even the gigantic roots beneath the earth shifted aside of their own accord.
She lazily flicked a finger.
Immediately, the flowers floated toward Lin Zhaoyue, attempting to decorate her hair.
The vines wrapped around her wrists as though excitedly trying to reunite two old friends.
Lin Zhaoyue calmly severed every vine with a sweep of her sleeve.
Fresh vines erupted from the ground.
Moments later, they ignored Zhao Lusi once again and happily coiled around their own master.
Zhao Lusi smiled faintly.
"Alright, that’s enough."
With a casual wave of her hand, the Illusion Domain dissolved.
The ancient trees, blooming flowers, and countless vines faded away like a mirage, leaving only the quiet landscape behind.
The moment the illusion disappeared, Lin Zhaoyue vanished from where she stood.
In the next instant, she appeared beside Fang Yuan.
Without saying a word, she wrapped both arms tightly around one of his, pulling herself close against him.
Her grip was firm.
As though she was afraid that if she loosened it for even a moment...
Zhao Lusi would spirit him away again.
Fang Yuan glanced at her before looking toward his master.
He wisely chose to remain silent.
Just then a childish roar echoed across the heavens.
"Bad woman!"
Both Fang Yuan and Zhao Lusi looked up and the two saw a tiny figure tore through space at astonishing speed.
It was Fang Qingyue.
Her little face was puffed up with anger as she held a wooden sword in both hands, charging straight toward Zhao Lusi with all the determination she could muster.
"Hyaaa!"
She swung the tiny wooden sword with absolute seriousness.
Seeing the tiny girl charging at her with a wooden sword, Zhao Lusi froze for a brief moment.
Then she burst into laughter.
"Hahaha!"
The tiny wooden sword landed squarely on Zhao Lusi’s shoulder.
Thump.
It dealt little to no damage.
Zhao Lusi simply smiled before effortlessly catching Fang Qingyue by both wrists and lifting the little girl into the air.
She tilted her head, examining her from top to bottom.
"Since when did you two have a daughter this big?"
Fang Qingyue kicked her little legs furiously.
"Drop me, you bad woman!"
"Oh?"
Zhao Lusi raised an eyebrow.
"And why am I a bad woman?"
She pointed at herself with an amused smile.
"I’m your father’s master, you know."
"You bullied Mommy!"
Fang Qingyue pouted fiercely.
"That’s bad! You’re a bad woman! Let me go!"
She twisted and struggled with all her might, but Zhao Lusi’s grip was as steady as a mountain.
After several failed attempts, Fang Qingyue finally gave up.
Her lips trembled slightly before she turned toward Fang Yuan with watery eyes.
"Mommy... Papa... Help me!"
