Liu Shi Shi had never thought that she would settle down one day.

And when Lin Xuan Qi approached her with Lee He Song for the appointment, she took it that she would stay around for a year before she went wandering around the Da Qian Dynasty again.

But somehow, things didn’t go according to plan.

She was now used to the life here in the mansion.

He figured that she didn’t have family members with her like Xue Cong, Yue Jie, and Yue Xin, and she wasn’t the type to go around asking for help from them.

It was best for him to see if she required help.

"I.. I will ask Xue Cong and Yue Jie about it." She would like to be able to seek help from him but it would be feminine matters like jewelry to be worn for the wedding and so on.

"That’s great, you should spend more time with them together." Lin Xuan Qi said.

He would have less to worry about if his wife and concubines got along cordially, which was lucky for him as it was going smoothly so far.

They went on and chatted about how they might have some adventure out of Hong Feng City one of these days, and how they would spend time enjoying themselves without too many worries.

It would be tough to do so now, but Lin Xuan Qi wouldn’t mind doing so when he had delegated his responsibilities successfully in the future.

The chat went on until it was time for dinner.

And when he was with Yue Jie Dual Cultivating, he felt his dantian expanding to double what it was all of a sudden.

He had finally reached the Qi Concentration Level Perfected Stage.

After this, he would then be able to ascend to the Foundation Establishment Level when he broke through the Perfected Stage.

Sima Ye was going around Hong Feng City taking care of loose ends with guards and the disciples from the Qing Feng Sect.

Zhao Jia Rui and Du Feng walked behind him with their swords in their hands.

Their relationship had changed after Du Feng saw Lu Ting and he finally realized how much time and resources he had wasted on Zhao Jia Rui.

Zhao Jia Rui was pissed with him when he didn’t give her the usual attention and they had not been on talking terms ever since.

"Master Sima Ye, we have cleared the place successfully of all the rogue cultivators." One of the men who was taking care of the place they had raided bowed at Sima Ye and said.

Sima Ye nodded his head at the man and his eyebrows locked together.

It was going too smoothly for his comfort.

The Six Pulse Sword Sect might have something else up their sleeves, he thought.

His three elders in the Sima Family had gone into secluded cultivation after Lu Ting delivered the Nascent Soul Ascension Pills to them and they might prove to be crucial for the battle later on.

Zhao Jia Rui, however, didn’t think too much about it and she said, "Senior martial brother, I think we might be able to get rid of the Six Pulse Sword Sect here soon."

Things were going well so far.

The rogue cultivators that the Six Pulse Sword Sect had were no match for the men from the Sima Family.

And the Qing Feng Sect didn’t even have to give a helping hand so far.

Du Feng agreed and he chimed in, "I think senior martial brother is right, never let our guards down so easily.

Other disciples from the Qing Feng Sect also nodded in agreement.

Zhao Jia Rui gritted her teeth and stared at Du Feng with a side-eye.

He was getting even more irritating by the day.

She cursed him silently inside and turned her focus back to Sima Ye.

"Senior martial brother, what should we do next?

"Since these rogue cultivators had been cleared, shouldn’t we go on the offense on the Six Pulse Sword Sect next?"

"Not until the elders from the sect arrive." Sima Ye replied with doubt.

He wasn’t sure what the elders in the Qing Feng Sect were thinking.

So far, the Sima Family had faced the Six Pulse Sword Sect on their own, and the help from the Qing Feng Sect had been meager or non-existent.

Han Hong, the Artifact Peak Lord, might be having some struggles within the sect and he wasn’t able to get back to help.
