Clan Prosperity Starting With My Servant Girls
Chapter 434: Hammer Time?!
"I was wondering if there is any place that sells weapons for a cultivator?
"I’m planning to expand the businesses to Gui Feng City and it might be useful as a gift to make the process much smoother." Lin Xuan Qi used the business expansion as an excuse and said.
Sima Ye frowned and thought about it for a moment.
It sounded plausible to him but still...
He didn’t want to get to the bottom of it now that Lin Xuan Qi was working so closely with them, and Sima Long’s status in the family had been helped greatly by him.
Sima Ye decided to turn a blind eye and not to think too much about it.
He nodded at Lin Xuan Qi and said, "We do in fact sell weapons in the Sima Family and I have what you need."
"That’s great." Lin Xuan Qi saw the hesitation on Sima Ye’s face initially and he was glad that Sima Ye had decided to overlook it, just as he had anticipated.
"Come with me, I’ll show it to you." Sima Ye said and waited for Lin Xuan Qi at the door.
Lin Xuan Qi stood up from his seat and Sima Long quickly grabbed this chance to leave the house and followed closely behind.
They walked through the long corridors of the mansion and reached an area that Lin Xuan Qi had never been to before.
There was a building which had a chimney with black smoke coming out of it, and the windows gave out an amber glow with the fire that was burning inside.
Sounds of metals being shaped could be heard from outside the building.
"Here we are, come in with me." Sima Ye opened the doors of the building and they entered it.
The heat wave that escaped from inside immediately came towards Lin Xuan Qi and he could feel his skin being burnt for a moment.
"It’s so hot." Sima Long who was behind him exclaimed and he wiped the beads of sweat off his forehead while doing so.
Inside the building were men working on red hot pieces of metal.
Some were hammering hard onto the metals to shape them into forms that were desired while some were putting the final touches on the finished weapons.
Lin Xuan Qi followed Sima Ye into the back of the building where there was a rack with all sorts of weapons placed on it.
"All of these are Spirit Weapons forged with the best materials and the best Artifact Cultivators you can find in the Da Qian Dynasty." Sima Ye stretched out his hand at the rack and briefed Lin Xuan Qi on what it was.
Lin Xuan Qi marveled at the assortment of weapons that were in front of him.
Swords, spears, sabers, staffs and even unconventional weapons like hooks were on the rack.
Each of them gave out an aura with their cool finish and intricate scriptures carved onto them.
Sima Ye walked towards the other end of the rack, pointed at one of the weapons on it and said, "I think these might be great as a gift."
It was a sword that had some precious stones on the handle of the sword.
Lin Xuan Qi would agree that it was great as a gift if he really wanted to do so for the expansion of the business.
But it wasn’t the case.
He gave Sima Ye a smile, pointed at the precious stones and said, "I’m not sure if it’s good to be so blatant about it."
Sima Ye nodded his head and said, "You might be right..."
Lin Xuan Qi glanced around the weapons that were nearby and something caught his eye.
It was a pair of hammers.
The handles of the hammers were long at arm’s length.
On the tip of the hammers were the attack surfaces, which were bigger and shaped like an eight trigram.
The colors of the metals for the hammers looked different with one of them being darker.
These hammers fit what he was looking for in an ideal weapon.
Sima Ye saw him looking at them and he said, "You have great eyes for weapons. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
"These hammers can deal out very heavy damage even though they don’t look as menacing as the other weapons.
"One of them is made of Void Steel, which can nullify some attacks like the slicing waves or spells from the enemies.
"As for the other darker hammer, it is made of Oblivion Steel, which can stun enemies for a brief moment.
"They work in a pair allowing for more flexibility."
Lin Xuan Qi was pleasantly surprised by what the hammers could do and he had decided on them.
The Daoist Five-Element Cultivation Techniques had a Five-Element Hammer Style and he could master it with these hammers.
"I think these will be a great gift for a cultivator." Lin Xuan Qi cupped his hands at Sima Ye and said, "How much are they being sold for?"
Sima Ye nodded his head and said, "They would cost you twenty Spirit Stones or in layman’s terms, two hundred taels of gold.
"In your case, a hundred and fifty taels of gold will do.
"After all, the Sima Family has a share of the businesses."
Lin Xuan Qi felt a heartache when he heard the price, even with the discount.
But he knew that it was an inevitable investment.
He couldn’t be going around the Da Qian Dynasty without any weapons or Artifacts to help him fight.
His experience in Wan Shou Fang had taught him that it was a dog eat dog world out there.
You had better be more than prepared if you want to survive and keep your properties.
"Thanks, Master Sima Ye. I shall let my men send the taels of gold over by tomorrow." Lin Xuan Qi said and Sima Ye gave him a nod.
He couldn’t take out what he had in his small toad statue in front of Sima Ye so he had to do it the usual way.
Sima Ye picked up the pair of hammers and handed them over to Lin Xuan Qi.
Surprisingly, the pair of hammers didn’t feel very heavy.
Lin Xuan Qi wasn’t sure if it was due to his cultivation or that the materials used to make the hammers were so lightweight.
But it didn’t matter much.
All he wanted to do was to go back and master the Five-Element Hammer Style as soon as possible.
