"So this is the file?" Silas asked, looking at the stick held by Lura.

She wore a lightful color and nodded. Four months have passed.

During those times, Silas and Lura worked in the mafia as accountants, slowly taking their money. Sometimes, they created the fake attack on the fiance to stake the mafia and cleaned up afterwards.

Earning the trust of the underworld organization. Their status rose fast.

It was all due to Silas’s foresight or his future knowledge.

Actually, they accomplished the goal two months ago but Silas hid from Lura and dragged. He didn’t want to let go of the time.

And he was planning the backup when he died.

"Yeah, with this, we can hack into the main account and all the small ones and take their money." Lura smiled, jumping up and down, hugging the file stick.

"You have prepared the bank account right?" She asked, looking at him.

Silas paused for a moment and nodded. "Yeah. They won’t find their money after we take it."

He lied.

"Then, let’s get started." Lura said. "I planned the escape route. We will leave this week. Possibly, I want to leave right now but the situation around us is tight. I think a few people will discover our bait."

"They did discover the bait. He confessed everything."

"Shit." Lura cursed, believing his word without questioning. Previous Lura would not act like this. But now, she believed there was a true bond between her and Silas.

And indeed there was such a bond between them.

Silas held her the highest in his heart. She was his lover. His one and only love.

"Forget about that." Silas said. " We need to take the money. I am sure, the mafia were planning on how to deal with us."

"Alright. I am on." Lura nodded and sat down on the chair. She opened the computer and opened the file.

Then, she began the plundering.

"Where is the bank?"

"Here." Silas took out the piece of paper from his pocket and showed it to her.

Laura checked and typed the address on the computer, transferring the money.

"345.8 million dollars." She said and laid back on the chair, looking at the screen. Her face formed a big smile as she chuckled.

She took Silas’s hand and wrapped it around her neck, touching her cheek. The warmth she was feeling, the happiness she was experiencing. Everything.

Everything was true.

She had long suffered. Living, surviving in this business was hell. So, she used her weakness as a strength. Using her appearance, she took what she wanted.

She slept with men and women for influence, money.

But she was longing for warmth. The kindness that seemed to escape from her. She was also afraid of leaving this hell.

Why? The reason was simple. Fear of the unknown. This hell was her only experience. What was there? In the far distance.

Lura looked at the man she fell in love with. But part of her was afraid of this love. Feat that she would betray him. Or he would not love her for her past.

But now, everything is gone.

Their future was on sight. They had the proof of love that she always wanted.

"Hey." She called out Silas with affection.

"Yeah."

"I love you."

Silas looked down at her with confusion. "Did something happen?"

"No. Do you always assume that something will happen? Can’t I just say my feelings without obligation?"

"Yes, you can." Silas smiled, patted her head. He wished to die.

"I love you." She repeated. "I love love love love love love love you."

Silas nodded, continued patting her.

"I really love you." Lura said. "And there is something I want to say."

"The same for me as well." Silas said.

He let go of her head, turning away from her. He didn’t want her to see his face. Right now, she could practically read his thoughts.

"Lura." He called out. "There is no such thing as a safe bank."

There was no sound behind him. Not even surprised. He tightened his jaw and continued, pressing forward. "The bank that you sent the money to is the organization I set up for the slum. I connect with really good people and set up the foundation."

"They will use the money and help the children in the slum. I am really sorry for deceiving you. I am sorry. I am sorry. I can’t choose you."

Still, there was no reply from Lura.

Silas slowly turned around and saw Lura looking at him. Her eyes were moist and heavy. Seeing her gaze, Silas felt ashamed but he had to face her.

He had to look at her. The eyes of which he betrayed.

He opened his mouth to speak but closed. There was nothing he could do to her. And he won’t beg for forgiveness. For his goal was higher than everything in this rotten world.

Lura stood up.

Silas’s mind was clouded, he couldn’t form a thought or remember. He just stared at her, grabbing her bag and opening the door.

She closed the door, and then a loud bang echoed in the room. It was from the door slam. No matter how angry she got or sad, Lura never acted on her emotions.

Silas felt his legs connected with the concrete on the floor. He stood still.

The smell of gunpowder entered his nose and he heard something hit the floor. The door abruptly opened and a huge man entered.

The man fired the gun at Silas’s leg.

Silas fell with pain latching at his body, crawling up to his spine.

The man came and kicked him in the chin.

Silas lost his consciousness for a moment and regained consciousness. He was dragged on the floor to the door. The huge man lifted him up like a child.

The man passed the body lying on the ground.

Silas opened his eyes, looking at the dead Lura. Her head was split open with her brain scattered on the wall and door.

Blood formed under her.

But his eyes were not on her body. He was staring at the bag. Most specifically, the content spilled out from her bag.

"Haha, look like I hit one for two." The huge man joked and knocked Silas with the gun.
