Contract Marriage: Billionaire and His Deaf Wife
Chapter 1352: The Two Little Brothers (5)
"How did they know we’re staying here?" Nala asked her assistant.
The assistant said, "Could it be that when you emailed Chairman Gu earlier, you accidentally sent the address?"
Nala thought back and realized it was possible. Going downstairs to the entrance of the house, she saw a flashy large RV parked outside. Of course, inside the flashy RV was her little boss’s family.
To this, Nala was surprised and puzzled, thinking: Isn’t this supposed to be low-key? How can you be low-key in such an RV?
Gu Jinrong had criticized Dabai more than once about this right from the start of the trip. In Dabai’s independent mind, the only thought was: comfort first. As for being low-key, leave that to the PR team. They pay these people not to idle around while the boss suffers.
Dabai truly had the demeanor of a big boss. Gu Jinrong occasionally thought that actually, Dabai was more suited to be the leader of Changda than anyone else.
Nala approached the boss’s family and first greeted the two little bosses, "Hi Lingxin, Mingli, how are you? It was a hard journey."
The two little ones were indeed covering their small mouths with their tiny hands to hide their yawns. Due to a tight schedule, their dad didn’t stop for rest along the way. They swayed in the car as if they were in a cradle, which made them yawn continuously.
"Hello, Sister Nala," Lingxin said, holding back his sleepiness.
The second little one rubbed his little eyes with his hand, as if his eyes were blurred, and said to Nala, who was wearing glasses, "Do you also feel like sleeping? I see you have two dark circles under your eyes."
Nala was startled; she hadn’t been sleeping well for days because of news about Zhao Mengjin.
The second little one, raising his small head to examine her eyes again, said, "Did you cry? I see your eyes are red."
Lingxin quickly tugged his brother’s sleeve: How could you ask such a question?
Nala awkwardly smiled and said to the second little one, "I just got some sand in my eyes."
The second little one pretended to understand and said, "That’s what they always say in TV dramas."
Ha ha, a group of adults burst into laughter.
Nala led the bosses inside the house, saying, "Take a look around, do you like this place? If it’s not suitable, we can find another one."
The bosses and their family were very confident in Sister Nala’s arrangements. Upon entering, they saw it was a residential house consisting of two interconnected two-story buildings. One building served as the office for Nala and her financial team, while the other was for the bosses’ family. It was definitely spacious enough.
Seeing her two sons constantly yawning, Gu Nuan hurried the kids into their room. The brothers lay down on the bed, seemingly falling into a deep sleep quickly.
Gu Nuan returned to the living room, where many matters needed attending to.
Dabai, unlike his usual self, was holding a microphone, speaking into a computer to keep in touch with Zang Xiaolian. Before entering New York City, Zang Xiaolian and their family had already split up, renting a new car and heading straight to Christie’s to learn about the situation.
While her husband was busy with the painting auction, Gu Nuan had to help her son clarify details about the model show.
Nala came over with some clothes and designs sent by the designer for her to review.
This designer was chosen by Gu Nuan from many who sent invitations, mainly because she felt his designs were relatively conservative and wouldn’t make her son appear too unconventional. Besides considering her son’s image, as a mom, Gu Nuan naturally had to consider how these unconventional elements might negatively affect her son’s young mind.
