The sun climbed up in the sky as sunrays illuminated the room. Reyansh was sleeping on the sofa, his position a bit awkward. Arpita wasn’t in the room while Luna remained seated, her eyes closed but senses on alert.

Suddenly, Vanya’s eyes fluttered open, she sensed a shift in her consciousness, feeling a strange comfort all over her body. Her fingers flinched as her as she tried to sit up.

Luna opened her eyes, noticing Vanya awake.

As Vanya tried to sit up slowly when the memories of yesterday’s event hit her like a truck.

"Bhaiyaaa(Brother)!" she shouted unconsciously as she jerked forward.

’Did I escape from their van? Who was the woman in the end?’ her thoughts ran wild as she looked around the room.

Just as she shouted, Reyansh jolted awake to see Vanya sitting up, looking around frantically. He practically jumped to her side.

"Vanu! Are you okay?" the first thing he asked, holding her hands.

"Brother, I am...I am safe?" she answered, her head sweating and hands shaking a little.

"Yes, you are," he nodded his head.

She spread her arms to hug him, he reciprocated. Reyansh finding it difficult to say anything.

HEUK! HEUK!

"Brother...I fought them, I-I didn’t let them abduct me," Vanya uttered, crying along as she spoke.

"Shh...it’s okay, I know," Reyansh replied, patting her back, his eyes almost teary.

"I always knew my Vanu is strong," he praised further.

Vanya remained tightly clung to her brother as she silently wept, fearing this might be a dream. Reyansh also didn’t say anything and slowly patted her back, giving her reassurance.

After more than thirty seconds, she finally let go, her shaking stopped. Next, she checked her body, not finding any signs of injuries.

"Did you use a costly healing potion on me, brother?" she asked.

"Nothing is costly when it comes to my Vanu," he replied.

"But brother, you must be saving for mother’s treatment. Now it’s going to be delayed."

"Look at you, just woken up and worrying about everyone else. First tell me, how are you feeling?" he questioned.

"I-I feel okay, were those two caught?"

"You don’t need to worry about them, just relax and forget about them." He reassured but suddenly Vanya’s eyes widened.

"Brother, someone is after you, I don’t know fully but they were talking about me being insurance or something," she shared.

"Yeah, I know and I am sorry you had to go through that experience because of me. I will handle everything, you would never have to go through this again, I promise."

"No, I am happy that I am close to my brother except the kidnapping part." Suddenly her eyes caught Luna seating silently behind Reyansh.

"Kitty? Did you get a new pet or is it a summon, brother?" Vanya asked looking at Luna.

"I am not a summon or pet or kitty, kid," Luna stated.

"A talking kitty!" she became excited a little, trying to stand up.

"You stay in bed for the now. She is a contracted beast, I think and not mine, but Principal Arpita’s," Reyansh answered, stopping her before she could get up.

"Principal is here?" she looked questioningly.

Before Reyansh could answer, the gate pushed open as Arpita entered.

"Looks like you woke up," she commented.

"Principal?" Vanya spoke, a bit flustered.

"Yes, I came as soon as I heard that my best student was hurt," Arpita answered as she stood closer to the bed.

"Are you feeling okay?" She asked.

"Yes, I am feeling fine. Thank you for coming to see me, Ma’am," Vanya nodded.

"Is that kitty yours, Ma’am?" she pointed.

"Her name is Luna and she is a contracted beast and special cat," Arpita answered as she looked at Luna.

"Luna, nice name," Vanya nodded.

"So, are you getting discharge or staying at hospital for a bit more?" Arpita asked, turning to Reyansh.

"I’m thinking of getting her checked first then discharge if everything is okay," Reyansh replied, pressing a call button near the bed.

"Okay," Arpita nodded as she walked towards Luna but suddenly her phone pinged.

She took out the phone to check the message. Her body language changed instantly as she read the message, Reyansh noticed her reaction.

Before he could ask anything, Arpita spoke up, "I have some work outside the hospital, you guys take care of yourself. Luna let’s go."

"Sure, Miss Arpita, thank you for your time," Reyansh nodded, though his brows raised internally at that sudden change.

’I can’t even use telepathy on her, Luna is a telepath too and better than me at the moment,’ Reyansh thought as Arpita and Luna exited the room.

"You can take few days of holidays, no need to worry about school, okay kiddo," Arpita spoke, turning to Vanya before leaving the room.

"Thank you, Principal and bye, Luna," Vanya responded, swinging her hand in a gesture towards Luna.

"Take care, kid," Luna replied as both left the room.

’That was my first time seeing her slightly spooked, just what was that message?’ Reyansh thought.

"Brother, are you getting a contract beast too?" Vanya excitedly asked.

"Haven’t thought about it, why?" Reyansh questioned back, keeping the thought about Arpita aside for now.

"Nothing, I just wanted to say to get something cute like Luna," Vanya answered.

Reyansh smiled, ’She is trying to act normal even after going through such a horrendous situation, my courageous little sister,’ he thought feeling pride.

The gate opened again as a doctor and a nurse entered the room.

"Good, you are awake. Are you feeling any kind of discomfort or any pain?" the doctor asked.

"No, I am feeling perfectly fine," Vanya responded while Reyansh backed away giving them space to perform their checks.

"Well, after Elite rank potion, I don’t think you need any further checkups but I will do one anyway, just to make sure," the doctor spoke as she took out something akin to scanner to check Vanya.

"Elite rank potion...brother?" Vanya looked at her brother with her eyes widened.

Reyansh signaled her to keep silence, keeping his fingers on her mouth.

Reyansh stood silently in the back as doctor performed the check up, suddenly a thought occurred in his mind.

’Should I use it?’ he wondered for a moment, before deciding to do it, seeing no harm.

He focused on Vanya with intent to use his True Sight on her. For a second, nothing happened but then suddenly, he noticed a tiny flame flickering inside her, blue in color, near her heart.

’What’s that?’ Reyansh thought as he focused on the tiny blue flame.

A panel manifested in front of him, second time when he was using the True Sight.

[Flame of Death (Mythical)]

[Owner – Vanya Kaul (Bound)]

[Talent – Apostle of Death (Legendary+)]

As he read through the panel, all hairs on his body stood up, calling it a goosebumps would be an understatement.

He focused more intently on the Owner tab, his mind raced at the possibility of his sister possessing a Mythical Flame inside her.

He felt a stinging pain in his head like needles pricking into his brain, even after having SS level intelligence. He felt blood coming out of his nose. He immediately used blood control to stop the nose bleed.

’I won’t back out, I need more information,’ he mentally screamed.

The panel flickered a bit as a new panel appeared.

[Owner – Vanya Kaul (Bound)]

[The owner bears the title of Heir of Death, causing her to manifest the Flame of Death. When the flame complete its shape, the Apostle of Death talent will awaken.]

He finally relented as the flame vanished from his vision but in his mind he could still see that tiny flicker in her sister’s body.

’Should I be happy that my sister is extraordinary herself? Or worried that this is something I have no idea about or any control over it?’ He wondered.

"Mr. Reyansh, your sister health is perfect. You can take her home now," the doctors words brought his attention back to the room.

"Yeah, I want to take her home, thank you, doctor," Reyansh replied.

"Nurse will work out the details for discharge, take care of her and yourself," the doctor stated, Reyansh nodded in response as she and nurse left.

"Aren’t I strong brother? I saved myself from being kidnapped," Vanya spoke as she sat up, flexing her muscles.

"Oh, I am perfectly aware how strong my little sis is and how much stronger she will be," Reyansh replied as he patted her head, still wondering about the blue flame he saw.

"Stronger than you?" she squinted her eyes as she spoke.

"Well, you can dream about that, sure," Reyansh replied jokingly.

"Just you wait brother, once I awaken then I will be strongest," Vanya spoke with a smug face, feigning arrogance.

"If you become that strong, I may let you follow me," Reyansh teased.

"Hah...why is it so hard to win battles of word with you?" Vanya spoke, trying to appear disheartened.

"Nope, I am not gonna melt, no today," Reyansh replied, perfectly knowing what she was trying to do.

"Hmm...how cruel, I need to call the doctor, I think I am hurting."

"You little," Reyansh spoke as he gave a slight chop on her head.

Both siblings broke into laughter, one happy to see her brother smiling, other was happy that his sister was courageous enough to face her battles alone.
