Daddy! Come Home for Dinner!
Chapter 68: Are You Being Unruly Too?
Then, she sent Ye Fei a location map.
Ye Fei: "Okay, let me know if you or your friend have any dietary restrictions or dislikes, and I’ll avoid them."
"Grandson, when will you get out of singlehood": "Sure, let me compile a list and send it to you."

The next day, as Ye Fei only had to prepare lunch for Zhao Gushen, she wasn’t as busy.
Thinking that Zhao Gushen was busy with work, Ye Fei chose rice as the main dish, as it’s more filling and doesn’t cause hunger easily.
She placed the peeled shrimp with the vein removed into a frying pan, sautéing until the shrimp turned a beautiful red and both sides were slightly golden brown, then placed them on a dish for later use.
She then sautéed the shrimp heads in the pan to release the shrimp roe, resulting in a bright red and flavorful coloration.
She added the cooked rice to an egg yolk mixture and sautéed shrimp roe, mixing each grain evenly.
Every grain of rice was coated with the egg yolk and shrimp roe.
Afterward, she stir-fried the rice in the pan until each grain was distinct, added cooked green peas, and sautéed until the rice grains were dry and fluffy before setting them aside.
Ye Fei lined the thermal lunchbox with a dry crisp lettuce leaf before placing the fried rice on top.
The excess part of the lettuce leaf served as a partition to separate the rice from the dishes to be added later.
Then, Ye Fei grated ginger, chopped green onions and fresh chili peppers, and sautéed them until fragrant, adding chopped tomatoes until they were soft and sauce thickened. She then added a small amount of tomato sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and a bit of sake.
Finally, she added the shrimp, ensuring they were coated with the sauce, removed them from the heat, and placed them on the second lettuce leaf.
This way, by separating the shrimp from the fried rice, there was no worry that the fried rice would be soggy or that the shrimp’s juices would be absorbed by the rice.
This is the main dish.
Ye Fei was always worried that Zhao Gushen wouldn’t be full, so she added a side dish.
Smoked salmon with poached egg.
She separated three egg yolks, added some salt and black pepper, mixed in lemon juice, a little white wine, and olive oil, and made a thick hollandaise sauce using a bain-marie.
She boiled water, added a few drops of vinegar, stirred to create a vortex, and gently placed in two eggs.
The vortex enveloped the egg whites, which would otherwise disperse, allowing them to slowly form into the shape of a soft-boiled egg.
Before the yolk fully cooked, she quickly scooped it out and placed it on the smoked salmon, drizzling with the freshly made hollandaise sauce, placing it into the meal box.
This section of the meal box had a separate small compartment, so Ye Fei made meringue crisps from the leftover egg whites.
Not a single bit of ingredient was wasted.
After packing everything, she found the timing just right, so she rode her e-bike to Changping Group.
Ye Fei thought for a moment and sent Zhao Gushen a WeChat message: "I arrived at the company, should I leave your lunch at the reception?"
She figured Zhao Gushen probably wouldn’t have time to come down to pick it up, so he might send Xiao Ruofeng instead.
Zhao Gushen was in a meeting, which was reaching its conclusion.
Suddenly, a WeChat notification sounded.
The clear notification echoed in the conference room, sounding especially loud.
Everyone was startled, sweating nervously; they all had their phones on silent for the meeting.
They looked at each other.
Whoever didn’t mute their phone was in for a scolding!
It’s not like they didn’t know the CEO’s temper; he could snap just like that, yet someone dared to leave their phone unsilenced during a meeting!
However, the sound seemed to come from the direction of the CEO.
Who on earth dared to have their phone make noise so close to the CEO?
If your phone doesn’t have manners, shouldn’t you?
