Outside of the difficulty, the resources required were just as daunting. From what Yang Qing had read, it would need at least three or four middle-tier ascendant-grade treasures just to transform a high-grade spirit vein into a lesser dragon vein, and even then, there were still other considerations, such as the specialized knowledge and level of skill required to make such a thing possible.

Yang Qing wasn’t sure this was something a palace realm cultivator could pull off, no matter how talented. His Peerless Jade Physique, cultivation art, and Dao could quite possibly make him naturally suited for the task given their natures and alignment, and yet he had zero confidence in his chances of actually succeeding. Though he had made tentative plans to attempt it when he reached the late stages of the palace realm. If not for the cost it was likely to save him should he succeed, then for his own benefit as well. But at his present state, it would be a waste of time to try, as it would be no different than an ant trying to prop a boulder on its back. It could only wait till he felt he knew enough and had accumulated enough to try, which for him, was the late stage of the Palace Realm, and even then, the attempt would only be for evolving a high grade spiritual vein to a Lesser Dragon Vein, of which, he felt no matter what understanding he had, the chances of success were on the slim side of it. It would take him being in the Domain Realm for the chances to rise to maybe thirty to forty percent.

And as for trying to evolve a Lesser Dragon Vein to a Mature Dragon Vein, well, it was safe to say, he would leave such an attempt safely stored away in the part of his brain that held ’daydreaming fantasies.’ 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

If evolving a high-grade spirit vein to a Lesser Dragon Vein was as hard as trying to hike a forty-thousand-meter mountain with no legs, then evolving a Lesser Dragon Vein to a Mature Dragon Vein was as hard as trying to scale up that same mountain without a torso or legs, where all you had to work with was your neck and head.

In his research, Yang Qing had come across accounts suggesting that to make such an evolution possible, at least seven early-stage Soul Formation experts would have to sacrifice their entire cultivation base into that vein, or seven low-tier Saint Grade treasures would need to have their entire essence drained and poured into it, and then... it was a game of wait and hope it succeeds.

But as impossible as it seemed, and as rare as success stories were, that evolution still fell within the realms of possible. On this, Yang Qing had even seen living proof. The Mature Dragon Spiritual Vein that supported the Medical Valley had been a product of external influence by the Order, and it wasn’t the only one. While not many, there were two other grounds that had their spiritual veins externally evolved into Mature Dragon Veins. It had likely cost the Order two arms, two feet, a kidney, a liver, a spleen, and a lung (maybe that was why the institution was so stingy), but costly as it likely was, it had shown that evolving a Lesser Dragon Vein to a Mature Dragon Vein was possible.

But with the Ancestral Dragon Vein, there had never been a recorded success story of it being remotely possible, except..... Except through tales surrounding the Treasure Coin Palace.

It was rumored that among the Palace’s main inheritances was a process detailing how to create an Ancestral Dragon Vein. Alas, either that inheritance had never been found, or it had been found but could never be actualized, because no one in the past hundreds of thousands of years had ever managed to do so.

And even during the era of the Treasure Coin Palace, Yang Qing had not come across any accounts of any other organization being credited with being able to do so. It had only been the Treasure Coin Palace.

Given the cost it took just to create one Mature Dragon Vein, what would it take to create an Ancestral Dragon Vein?

Only the richest organization on the continent could quite possibly have an answer to that question.

Yang Qing was not sure that even if he had that answer, it could be realized. After all, if the answer required the resources of the Treasure Coin Palace to be realized, then that meant no one in the present era could ever replicate it.

How did the Treasure Coin Palace become so wealthy that it was considered the wealthiest organization on the continent? What kind of wealth would it take to be titled as the wealthiest of all?

Secondly, how were they able to hold onto that wealth and title? If there was one thing that has likely remained constant, then and now, it is that absolute strength triumphs over all.

The Ten Thousand Dao Jade Leaf Tree could be considered one of the rarest and most precious things in the entire continent. It was unknown whether there was anything in the present era that came close. Probably, if one scoured the depths of the Millionsfold Treasure Ocean, they might find one or two items capable of rivaling it. And who knows, maybe the Two Holy Lands had things that came close—but who knows? And even then, plenty would likely argue that the Ten Thousand Dao Jade Leaf Tree was still greater. After all, when it came to the Ten Thousand Dao Jade Leaf Tree, even saint-grade treasures and Natural Dao Treasures could not be held in the same breath.

And yet, history showed that once upon a time, there had been an item that undeniably rivaled the Ten Thousand Dao Jade Leaf Tree. That item was the Origin Treasure Gourd Jade Tree of the Treasure Coin Palace. That tree was said to produce gourds, and inside each gourd was a treasure. Just like how the Millionsfold Treasure Ocean produced pearls that held treasures of various quality, the Origin Treasure Gourd Jade Tree produced gourds that contained different treasures when they matured. And among those treasures, there was no shortage of Saint-Grade Treasures and Natural Dao Treasures.

That gourd tree was the Millionsfold Treasure Ocean in tree form, and that tree was responsible for the foundation of the Treasure Coin Palace, along with the six terrifyingly powerful mythical race members of different races that guarded it.

These two things were arguably what made the Treasure Coin Palace so thoroughly widespread and well-known in the present age.

After all, it is not every day that you hear of a gourd tree that has produced saint-grade treasures in the thousands and birthed grottos. And at the same time, the organization that owned said tree also happened to have been founded by six different mythical races: a Qilin, a Xiezhi, a Bi Xie, a Baizhe Lion, a Longma, and a Dragon Turtle.

Those two things were the true foundation of the Treasure Coin Palace.
