Chapter 4326: Talk Later

It is no secret that airplanes and land transportation are the cheapest methods of moving goods and people throughout the Celestial Plane. Compared to the Divine Realms the twins had visited before, the entire structure of society and transportation simply functioned differently here.

One could naturally try to rely on Spatial Rings for transportation purposes, but rings with truly useful internal spaces were absurdly expensive. Only major powers or extremely wealthy experts could afford to use them on a large scale. Because of that, most cargo and personnel transport still relied heavily on airplanes, caravans, trains, and countless other conventional methods.

Nonetheless, that did not mean the Celestial Plane lacked Teleport Arrays.

On the contrary, Teleport Arrays absolutely existed, and they were actually considered the safest way for cultivators in this part of the Celestial Plane to travel between regions. Very few people were insane enough to attempt crossing the incomprehensibly gigantic distances separating the regions through ordinary travel methods. After all, that meant travelling through the Godly Creatures Territories, with no advanced settlements for one to stop.

That said, teleport arrays were also spread throughout the Besgol Region itself, although they were very rarely activated. The reason behind that was simple.

Celestial Energy alone was not enough.

Teleportation involved forcibly bending space itself, and such a process required Godly Energy to function. Worse yet, the space within the Celestial Plane was incomparably more stable and difficult to distort than the Great Void the twins once traversed in the past.

That alone caused the cost of teleportation to skyrocket to horrifying levels.

Even a relatively short teleportation could consume hundreds of Godly Spawn Crystals in a single activation. And that was merely for nearby destinations within the same country or neighboring territories.

If someone wanted to teleport from one side of the Besgol Region to the other, then ordinary Godly Spawn Crystals would no longer suffice. At that point, thousands of Godly Beast Crystals would become necessary instead. The amount of energy required increased explosively depending on the distance involved.

And what about teleportation between regions?

Take Voncava Region as an example, the nearest neighboring region to Besgol. Forget about Godly Spawn Crystals or even Godly Beast Crystals. The quality of Godly Energy contained within those crystals simply wasn’t high enough to force space to bend across such colossal distances. For teleports of that scale, Godly Predator Crystals were considered the bare minimum requirement.

And they were talking about hundreds of Godly Predator Crystals for a single use.

One must remember that during the first war that the twins’ group participated in, only a very small number of Godly Predators appeared throughout the entire conflict. That fact alone already demonstrated how unbelievably difficult it was to obtain Godly Predator Crystals in the first place.

In other words, teleportation in the Celestial Plane was truly expensive beyond reason.

---

Returning to the current assault against Turanzo, Lesgez, and Terno Dore, those three countries happened to border one another. Naturally, the cost of teleportation between them was considered relatively cheap by regional standards.

That was precisely why Tobao and Arcis remained stationed inside the Godly Subjugation Guild branches.

Every single Godly Subjugation Guild Branch possessed a teleport array, even if they were rarely used under normal circumstances. As Law Gods, Tobao and Arcis naturally possessed more than enough wealth to pay the activation costs themselves if necessary. And even if they lacked the required resources, the guild would not hesitate for even a moment to provide the necessary Godly Spawn Crystals to support the defense of the Besgol Region.

Thanks to that, Tobao and Arcis only needed around twenty minutes to reach the frontlines of Turanzo. They first teleported to the Godly Subjugation Guild branch closest to the battlefield before boarding an airplane and heading directly toward the command headquarters.

As their airplane descended, the expressions on both Law Gods’ faces remained serious.

Even from the distance, the sounds of battle could already be heard clearly.

Although only twenty minutes had passed since the explosions, the Godly Creatures had already regrouped and resumed their assault against the cultivators’ defensive lines.

As expected, several Godly Predators had also finally begun to appear.

After the catastrophic losses suffered by the Godly Spawn and Godly Beast ranks during the explosions, only the Godly Predators possessed enough individual strength to compensate for the temporary reduction in numbers.

Still, one should not misunderstand the overall situation.

Yes, enormous numbers of Godly Spawns and Godly Beasts had been annihilated. Yet even after suffering such devastating casualties, the Godly Creatures still possessed an overwhelming numerical advantage over the defenders. That had always been the reality of wars against the Godly Creature Hordes, and this battle was no exception.

The only difference now was that the situation had finally become manageable.

And in a war of this scale, merely reaching a manageable state was already considered an extraordinary success, especially for the first day.

Tobao and Arcis were immediately escorted toward the command center after arriving. Huriu was already waiting for them there, alongside Kentucky. Sudo, the Zone God, was absent, however. With the appearance of the Godly Predators, he had no choice but to personally join the battlefield once more.

Yet, there were also three additional figures standing inside the command center.

Naturally, they were Rean, Roan, and Celis.

The moment Tobao entered, his gaze immediately landed on Rean. The skepticism on his face was so obvious that there was no point trying to hide it.

"Was what you said true?" Tobao asked directly.

Rean first nodded slightly. "I believe it is...?"

"Let’s stop wasting time," Arcis interrupted immediately. "Where is it?"

"Please follow me," Huriu responded before leading everyone toward a landing platform located on top of the command center itself.

The moment Arcis and Tobao laid eyes on the airplane stationed there, their expressions became even stranger than before.

"...This thing?" Tobao asked slowly.

Arcis narrowed his eyes. "You are serious?"

Naturally, what stood before them was Rean’s prototype airplane.

The only reason Rean had brought it to the battlefield at all was because he did not want to leave it abandoned inside his estate for an unknown amount of time.

Still, it was completely understandable why Arcis and Tobao found the situation ridiculous.

The airplane looked absolutely terrible.

Large portions of its fuselage were still incomplete, exposing internal structures and circuitry runes everywhere. Several arrays remained half-installed, while others appeared hastily connected through temporary supports. The defensive systems technically existed, but anyone with functioning eyes could tell they were nowhere near operational condition yet.

As for weapons...

There were none.

Not a single offensive mechanism had been installed.

Frankly speaking, most people would seriously doubt whether the airplane was even capable of flying at all.

Of course, Rean was fully aware of how absurd the prototype looked.

"Yes, seniors," Rean answered without embarrassment. "This thing."

He approached the airplane and placed a hand on its incomplete exterior with a proud smile.

"I had no intention of bringing it out this early. The project would likely require several more months before reaching completion. However, after hearing from Kentucky that you two planned to search for the Raven, I suddenly realized this prototype might actually become useful."

Rean looked back at them.

"Most aspects of this baby are far from finished. You already noticed that yourselves. But regarding its ability to fly..." Rean shrugged. "What would be the point of building the other systems if we never confirmed the airplane could even leave the ground in the first place? So yes, it can definitely fly."

He quickly added another clarification.

"Don’t misunderstand. It can fly, but not particularly well. There are still countless adjustments left to make, as you can see."

"Now then... about the reason you actually came here."

He placed his hand on the airplane once again.

"Its ability to emit Godly Pressure and disguise itself as a Godly Creature while flying amidst real Godly Creatures..."

Arcis and Tobao unconsciously took a deep breath as they waited for Rean’s explanation.

Then Rean smiled confidently.

"...Probably isn’t going to work at all. Hahaha!"

Everyone nearly vomited blood on the spot.

"What the hell?!" Tobao almost roared.

Even Huriu’s face twitched violently.

They came rushing here because they were told Rean possibly possessed a method capable of bypassing the Godly Creatures’ senses entirely. It already sounded absurdly unbelievable from the start.

And now Rean himself was admitting he had no idea whether it worked.

Rean simply shrugged helplessly. "I mean... I haven’t tested it yet."

Then his expression became much calmer.

"But let’s think about the situation realistically for a moment. Senior Tobao, Senior Arcis, considering the sheer number of Godly Creatures out there, do you truly believe you can simply charge into their midst and calmly search for the Raven?"

He did not even wait for an answer before continuing.

"I already know that even for Law Gods, sustained flight consumes a ridiculous amount of energy. That’s precisely why you always rely on airplanes for long-distance travel."

Rean then looked toward Arcis specifically.

"Of course, Senior Arcis is a Demon Bird and can naturally fly himself. But the skies above the battlefield are packed with Flying Godly Creatures. Even for him, searching for the Raven inside that mess would not be easy at all."

Finally, Rean turned back toward the airplane and tapped its side once more.

"However... if the arrays work the way I expect them to, then every Godly Creature around us will completely ignore our presence. They will believe we are one of them. And the best part is that testing this idea will be extremely simple."

He pointed toward the battlefield outside.

"We fly directly into the Godly Creatures Horde. If they attack us, then we will immediately know the system failed. Since we will remain relatively close to our own defensive lines, retreating should not be difficult with Senior Arcis and Senior Tobao protecting us."

Rean paused briefly.

"But if it works..."

Silence immediately filled the area.

The skepticism on Arcis and Tobao’s faces still remained extremely obvious. Even so, both of them had already traveled all the way here because of this possibility.

In the end, Tobao exhaled deeply before speaking.

"We still have countless questions..." he admitted. Then his eyes narrowed seriously. "But we don’t have the luxury of wasting time asking them right now."

Arcis nodded in agreement soon after. "Let’s test it first," he said. "We can discuss everything else later."
