Demi-human Girls Completion Manual
Chapter 1328 - 20: Explosion 2
"Hey, hey, does that mean the Schwali human woman is actually a spy?"
At this moment, Mier, who had been disconnected and uneasy, finally managed to speak and catch up with the current situation.
"Ah..."
"Bang!"
"Rafael, just now..."
As Rafael nodded and was about to say something, the door swung open again, revealing Moli, who appeared somewhat tense outside.
It was at this moment Fisher suddenly noticed her originally sky-blue long hair was starting to turn black, possibly indicating the manifestation of her curse.
"There’s news from the coastal defense line... it’s Mr. Fischer’s wife..."
Before Moli could finish her sentence, Rafael interrupted her, gritting his teeth.
"Yes, we already know. Mier happened to be outside earlier..."
Moli pursed her lips and then frowned slightly at Fisher, her hair turning even darker. Seeing this, Fisher had to explain,
"I don’t have a Schwali wife. I don’t know her at all."
"Really?"
For some reason, despite Fisher’s firm and sincere explanation, the two ladies refused to let him off the hook, feeling that the visitor’s possibility of being Fisher’s romantic entanglement was higher than being a spy or a conspiracy.
To this, Rafael coldly sneered and simply looked outside, saying,
"In that case, let’s go out and see what this ’official wife’ from afar has to say..."
Moli also nodded, clearly agreeing.
"I’ll go with you, Rafael. Mr. Fischer will come with us too!"
"..."
Fisher reluctantly nodded, unable to refuse.
And Mier, at the side, also felt the ignition from the separation, similar to Fisher.
But unlike Fisher, she didn’t have the psychological resilience, finding this place quite terrifying and not wanting to stay even a second longer.
So she forced a smile and said,
"I... I’ll sit this one out..."
...
...
"Splash! Splash!"
The moment was bright and sunny on the South Continent, with the wind blowing through the sky, the land, and the sea, causing the military flag of the Red Dragon Court near the coast to flutter wildly, shaking its body like waves, showcasing the bustle of the shoreline.
Today was indeed busy for the Red Dragon Court, which had not yet faced wartime.
Fisher followed Rafael and Moli to the coast where the incident occurred. The Schwali ship baffling Fisher didn’t dock on the South Shore but on the northeast side of the Red Dragon Court, closer to the northern coast.
Fisher’s suspicion that the boat was from the north wasn’t unfounded.
Traveling from the earlier Praying Tower to here would take almost an hour by carriage, so it was wise for Mier not to come; Fisher and the others had high Ranks and could quickly reach the destination.
Dragon Court’s coastal defense was primarily cannon-based, obtained possibly from prior battles with the human City Lord. Other defenses seemed less stringent; Moli mentioned that the area was north, and since it was near the Dragon Court’s army, minimal defense facilities were arranged for resource saving, while the Sunset Valley to the south was more thoroughly defended.
"Queen."
"High Priest."
When Rafael and Moli arrived, the soldiers initially in charge of the matter and who reported the news to the Praying Tower had been waiting for a long time. After saluting them, they couldn’t help but glance at the cloaked figure following them, concealing their appearance.
They asked no further questions, and Rafael inquired,
"Where are the humans from the ship, where?"
"They’re in the tent ahead; we’ve temporarily detained them."
"Alright, you may leave; we’ll handle it here."
"Yes, Queen."
As the demi-human soldiers left, Rafael couldn’t refrain from glancing at the small red boat tied with ropes, seemingly the vessel used by the guests inside the tent.
Then she and Moli exchanged a look, stepped forward, and lifted the tent flap standing by the shore.
"Whish!"
The first sight was the bright reflections from the various treasures inside, illuminated by the sunlight. Rafael squinted, looking at the Schwali craftsmanship jewelry transferred inside the tent.
There was no magical trace on these accessories, appearing to be mere treasures.
The abundant valuable items formed the first impression for Rafael and Moli about whom they were about to meet, but as they hadn’t met the main character yet, they both looked ahead.
Soon, within the wealth’s embrace, they saw an elegant, poised, and graceful silhouette sitting upright. In front of the silhouette stood two women of nearly identical height, wearing traditional black-and-white maid outfits, expressionless and only placing their hands slightly on their bellies upon seeing Rafael and Moli at the tent entrance, showing proper etiquette.
