Sam explained, " Ever since I reached level 2, as you know, like everybody else my ability grew stronger.

However it drains too much energy and I’m not talking about esper. The ability drains my stamina."

Adrian nodded, Sam’s ability insanely powerful amongst speed type abilities. According to Sam himself.

In his full werewolf form, he could even reach Mach 14 at full speed, Marcus who also has a speed type caps at Mach 9.

The rest can’t go beyond march 5 even at their full speed. So it was reasonable for such an ability to have a weakness.

Sam seemed to understand his thoughts and he smiled. " While it’s true that it drains too much energy.

I wouldn’t call that a weakness, the reason I feel so sleepy is because I can converse energy inside me.

Sort of like an energy bank or something, the more energy I converse the stronger my ability will be.

It might even be possible to go past machine 14, I might even reach your level of speed." He laughed after saying that.

Even he knew how ridiculous that was, after all, Adrian can reach Mach 16 in his base form, Mach 20 in his second form.

Even he didn’t know how fast he can be in his full werewolf form, especially if he can stack the many speed enhancement abilities he had.

All in all, Adrian was beyong being a monster, plus he can use two spatial type abilities.

The first one that allows him to shrink distance which has grown from 10 metres to a hundred metres.

However even that ability didn’t hold a candle to his second space ability. Both of them suddenly sat up straight but it was too late.

BOOOOM, a loud explosion appeared inside the building hitting both of them faster than they can dodge.

Adrian managed to create a barrier in front of them but the barrier had barely formed when the shockwave followed by flames hit them.

They flew out of the building like cannon balls with tails of fire trailing behind them. They landed on buildings standing next to each other.

Adrian went through two concrete walls and hit a fridge, the fridge broke and collided with a wall behind him then came to a stop.

The people living in this house were so startled they jumped up, a woman screamed and children started crying.

A man appeared carrying a bat, he rushed to the kitchen but found nobody there. His house was wrecked and his fridge was broken.

" Damn those terrorists!" Adrian heard him scream while flying above his house. The wounds on his body healed rapidly and closed in seconds.

Sam jumped out of the building as well, he wasn’t as durable as Adrian. An explosion like that caused more than just surface wounds.

He coughed up blood, Adrian could tell his internal organs were badly damaged. His own ribs had pierced through his lungs.

He didn’t ask if he was okay when he could clearly see he was not. " I’m okay by the way, thanks for asking."

Sam said sarcastically, he of course understood it was not because Adrian did not care.

Adrian suddenly received multiple pack calls, he frowned. " We’ve been played, they knew."

Sam paused, " Damnit, is any location still standing?" He asked and Adrian nodded.

" One." He took Sam and teleported directly to the centre of the city where a giant statue of a witch stood.

The statue stood nearly 15 metres tall, on either side of it was the church and the organisation.

Their front doors facing the statue as if keeping guard on it. Which Adrian understood.

After all, he had read legends of this witch from Meggie’s books. Her name was Morgana.

The strongest witch to ever live since the disappearance of the witch queen. This statue was also one of the anchors.

The six anchors in the corners of the city were fakez they were decoys placed to deceive those trying to destroy the barrier.

The real anchors were placed on the six edges of city thus still forming a hexagon, Adrian had sent six Gemma including Sam to protect them.

Unfortunately the Vampires had already known of the true anchors, perhaps they were just baiting the werewolves to act first.

And they fell for it. He sat down below the statue and waited. Sam stood next to him looking sharp.

His sleepiness was long gone, he looked pissed. Adrian used pack call to summon the others.

He was informed some of the omega were wounded, fortunately they were just a decoy to lower outmr guards.

Therefore the vampires saved the most destructive power for the real anchors which is even even Adrian had been hurt.

Fortunately Gemma werewolves were strong, too strong to be killed so easily so they all survived.

Only a few omega were out of commission, their wounds were so severe they might need an entire week to heal.

Two have even lost limbs, they used their arms to shield their necks and hearts thus saving their lives.

Those two would need even longer to heal from such wounds. It didn’t take long for the werewolves to arrive.

They stood around the statue defensively, police and firefighters spread throughout the entire city.

The news report came, the people were told terrorists had attacked the city. Considering the locations were as as old as the city itself.

They were historical relics representing the meaning of the city. They were tourists attraction as well.

The people believed the terrorists were extremist who believed those things are a representation of a dark history.

Which is kind of accurate, when the city was built, the war between the church and the witches was at its peak.

Naturally normal people also suffered back then and since the people no longer believe in witches and think them fairytales.

They naturally shifted the blame to the church thinking it used its authority to oppress women.

The church did nothing to defend this, at least not the main church that deals with the supernatural world.

As the news spread, the barrier weakened, the power limit was raised and now even those at level 3 could enter.

The only thing stopping those at higher levels was this statue, Adrian used lunar realm.

He wouldn’t let even an ant get closer to this statue.
