Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf
Chapter 135: Sanchez In Action (2)
The night went by, the vampires did not attack and disappeared before the sun rose.
Adrian did not chase after them.
He had no idea what their plan was nor did he care. The longer they stay away the more time they had to prepare.
He left making plans to Suzie and closed his eyes to rest, joining Sam on slumber.

Sanchez did something different, she took Fluffy and went north to the witches. " So where exactly do I go?"
The northern streets had many shops, long ago she too thought these were just normal shops.
Now she knew they were owned by witches, the medicine and charms she once were believed were fake looked interesting now.
She entered the first shop she saw, roots and animal bones were hanging off the roof. A dark skinned woman appeared from a back door.
" What can I.." the woman froze when she saw Fluffy. " What a nice dog you have but unfortunately dogs aren’t allowed in the store."
Sanchez could tell the woman was nervous, " Fluffy, stay here girl." Fluffy looked reluctant but she agreed.
" Hi, I’m detective Sanchez, I’m looking for something, I’m not sure if you can help me."
" Whatever it is that you’re looking for detective, I promise to help as much as I could as long as it’s within my power."
Sanchez nodded, " It’s information that I seek, I want everything there is to know about something called a Tokoloshe."
The moment she said that, the woman shivered. " I’m sorry detective, I don’t know what that is and I cannot help you."
She was about to turn and walk off when Sanchez whistled. Fluffy stood up and growled.
The witch froze, her shoulders shivered, she looked at Sanchez with terror. " Detective please, don’t do this." She begged.
Sanchez was confused, " I’m not going to hurt you, a group of kids went missing and I was told it could be the work of this thing.
I don’t know your reasons for not wanting to help but I beg you, I really need your help so please."
The witch sighed, " I’m sorry detective but i can’t help you, we are forbidden to speak of them however I know where you can go."
She gave Sanchez directions and three black coins. Sanchez had seen these coins on the werewolves.
She took them and thanked the witch then left. As soon as they were gone the witch sighed with relief.
’ Who in earth was foolish enough to create a hell hound?’ she wondered. Creating hell hounds was a dark occult art that requires human sacrifice.
She was a shaman, shamanism was the one covenant closest to occult magic with only a few differences.
’ I hope I don’t get in trouble for this.’ she thought to herself and continued with her business.
Sanchez walked around the witch territory, she noticed women were avoiding her like a plague.
Upon closer look, they seemed to be terrified of Fluffy. The terrifying dog in question kept wagging her tail with her tongue hanging out.
Sanchez didn’t know what their problem was and ignored them. She reached the place and knocked on the door.
She walked in without waiting for an invitation since it was a library. " Leave your dog behind."
The woman behind the counter told her without even raising her head or stopping from reading her book.
Sanchez went inside and started looking around then she noticed these were normal books one would find in a normal library.
" Excuse me." She called out to the woman who finally raised her head but her eyes held nothing but annoyance.
" What do you want?" The woman asked in an annoyed voice. Sanchez didn’t mind, she understood where she was.
" I’m looking for something a bit more different from this if you know what I mean."
She winked, the witch woman turned her head back to her book. " No, I don’t know what you mean.
Those are the only books we have, if you can’t find what you’re looking for, then by all means go somewhere else."
Sanchez felt frustration bubbling up inside her, she was about to say something else when she heard a tap on the floor.
The rude woman jumped up, both of them saw an old woman coming from the back, her walking stick tapped gently on the floor.
She stopped in front of Sanchez, " Servant of the child of blood, it’s rude to bring a bell hound to our holy grounds.
I shall forgive this because of your ignorance but don’t do that again." Sanchez nodded like a child caught sneaking.
She was just a normal human and couldn’t sense the power of this woman but Fluffy in front of the door was acting strange.
She was glaring at this old woman with her fur standing erect. Sanchez knew this woman was dangerous.
" Come, I’ll show you what you need." She led Sanchez further towards the back of the library.
" Okd mother, we cannot allow a human to access our library." The younger woman complained.
The old woman looked at her, " No matter, she’s a servant of the child of blood, I will take responsibility."
The younger woman sat back down and no longer said anything. After all, the other party was her grandmother.
Watches were considered sisters in the context of magic and only the nine members and leaders of each covenant were considered mothers.
However this did not override personal relationships, a daughter would not address their mother, grandmother or even aunt as sister.
However when referring to them as a collective with other witches they would be called sisters.
Sanchez watched this interaction without saying anything. The old woman led her to a basement.
Sanchez followed without saying a single word, she did not even breathe too loud, the truth was that she was afraid.
The old woman giggled, " You do not have to fear me child, I do not harm children, especially those who’ve done nothing wrong."
Sanchez finally breathed with relief. " Forgive me, it’s just that..." She didn’t continue.
" You’ve heard rumours of my kind, I wish to say they’re untrue but some of my sisters do fall to the darkness in pursuit of more power.
However your kind also tends to focus on the bad side of things, even if it’s on the minority."
Sanchez said nothing more then they arrived. She looked around and her eyes opened wide.
" Wh..how is this possible?"
What she was looking at was impossible, the library seemed to be stretching up endlessly but she was certain it wasn’t this large on the outside.
The old witch giggled, " The world is much more wondrous than you can imagine little human girl.
Even the child of blood is not knowledgeable about all the wonders of the world. I’ll leave you be."
Before Sanchez could say anything, the old woman disappeared into thin air leaving her alone.
" How am I supposed to find anything in this place?" She asked outloud with frustration.
" What is it that you seek?" She suddenly heard a voice behind her. She turned around startled and saw another woman standing there.
She was wearing a long black dress that reached below her feet. Her beautiful face was made even prettier by her glasses.
" Ah yes sorry, I’m looking for information about something called a Tokoloshe." Her words made the other woman pause.
Then she nodded, Sanchez sighed with relief. The woman waved her hand and a book flew at her.
She handed it to Sanchez then left to continue with her work. Sanchez sat down and started reading.
The book told her what Adrian had already told her and more. According to it, the Tokoloshe required using living children eight or under to make.
That made her frown with disgust, she knew people can be evil but this was something else.
She continued reading and what she saw next made her relived a little bit but only a little bit.
According to the book, unless the Tokoloshe was sent by its master, it will not harm the children.
Since it was made from the body of a child, it also has the mind of a child and it only kidnapped children to play with them.
Unfortunately it doesn’t understand humans, as a spirit it doesn’t tire or need to eat.
So it forces the children to play with it endlessly until they die of exhaustion, thirst or hunger.
Then it eat the dead and proceed to kidnap more children to play with. The children Sanchez was looking for had disappeared just last night.
Even if they played all night, without an unforeseen accident, they should still be alive.
She closed the book and ran out, the witches watched her go and didn’t say anything to stop her.
They knew she would go looking for the thing, they feared she might come across a dark witch but if so, then it was her fate.
Sanchez took Fluffy and ran towards another part of the city. There she found a workshop.
A Smith owned that workshop, Sanchez met him and got to business. " How long would it take to make iron bullets?"
The smith looked confused, " How many are we talking?" He asked. Sanchez thought about it.
" How about a thousand?" She asked and he nodded.
" Not long but I’m currently busy so come back tomorrow." He turned to walk but she stopped him.
" I’m sorry but it can’t wait, I need them urgently, I’m willing to pay double." He looked surprised.
" Lady I don’t know why you’re in such a hurry but you’ve got yourself a deal, be back in about three hours."
She nodded and left, she went and bought a lot of salt, put into into balloons that easily explode when thrown.
She prepared a few more items, three hours later she went back to the smith, he had made 1240 bullets.
She paid then set off on her first hunt by herself, she was both excited and terrified.
" You can do this Rosa, you’re a bad ass." She tried to convince herself
