Chapter 137: Chapter 137: House Under Siege

Adrian watched as the sun set, tonight he expected the vampires to attack and as night came.

He felt them, with the six anchors down, the magic formation was no longer at full power, the power limit had risen.

He took a deep breath and stood up, surrounding him were 10 level 3 vampires accompanied by nearly a hundred level 2.

" This is going to be a hard fight." He whispered and the others nodded. This time the vampires didn’t retreat.

A rain of blood arrows shot at them faster than bullets. Suzie reacted and conjured her barrier.

This time she stretched it, it covered all of them and the statue. However this made the barrier weaker.

It blocked 5he first volley of arrows but the second one broke through. The arrows proceeded to shoot towards them.

A level 3 baron had fired these blood arrows, the omega werewolves struggled with them but the Gemma were able to block them easily.

Adrian did not even move, Suzie and John blocked all that came at him. He stretched his body.

Just as he was about to attack, he paused, before the others could react he disappeared then reappeared a moment later.

Adrian went on one knee and coughed up blood, wounds appeared all over his body confusing and terrifying the other werewolves.

’ What the hell was that?’ Adrian wondered. He had just entered the spatial dimension to teleport when his body felt like it carrying the weight of the world.

Adrian couldn’t understand it but he felt like he was missing something, something important.

’ Was the spatial dimension booby trapped?’ he wondered because the only other explanation he could thing of was...

’ No that can’t be right, if the ability had a limit, I would’ve received that information.’ He also couldn’t remember how many time he used it.

He used it a lot in quick succession because he believed the only limitation to it was how long he could hold his breath.

But what if he was wrong, Adrian stood back up, his wounds healed and he took a single step.

Blood fell down like fountains from his body, the wounds opened up immediately covering his entire body red.

’ Damnit, something is in those wounds, I can’t heal properly.’ he could tell that he was healing.

But it was significantly slower than his normal regeneration speed. ’ Fuck it, I need to go now.’

He used his telekinesis to lift himself up then he went back down. Flying with telekinesis was actually slower than him moving on his own.

Adrian had the habit of retaining his strength, starting from base and then changing if his opponents were strong.

It was a pride thing but this time, he immediately went into second phase. His hair grew longer and turned silver.

His eyes became silver orbs like glowing moons and his aura grew so strong, the vampires found themselves taking a step back.

" Can you handle things here?" He asked Sam and Suzie, his right and left hand and both nodded.

They had no idea what was happening but if he needed to leave then it must be very important and knowing Adrian, they both had a clue.

------------------------

A few moments ago, four werewolves were standing in four corners of a certain house but nobody could see them.

When Adrian was assigning the missions to defend the six anchors, he had assigned two more werewolves to protecting Annie.

They were Sbu and Bred, both were weapon type ability werewolves. Sbu’s first ability was a giant cleaver.

It looked like a silver rectangle but it was very sharp, even sharper than Sam’s sword but it was too huge.

The blade alone was two metres long and 70 cm wide and the handle was a metre by itself.

Anybody could clearly see this was a very inconvenient weapon to use but Sbonga wielded it like a kitchen knife.

His partner Bred wielded gauntlet, the gauntlet had a special trait, an explosive type trait.

His punches exploded, not with flames but extreme force multiplying the damage output of his punches.

But what made Bred terrifying was his second ability. A few moments ago, the four of them faced a powerful foe.

A vampire, a single vampire, normally they would face multiple vampires at once but this time, only one came.

His target was obviously the house they were guarding but a vampire couldn’t enter without invitation.

Obviously he had no intentions of entering, on his back was a large bag with what looked like cannon balls.

They saw through his intentions immediately, before they could act they saw a dome of black mist covering the house and its immediate surroundings.

This barrier cast a sort of illusion that prevents sounds and everything happening within from being seen from the outside.

This was good for them too but not one of them dared underestimate their opponent because they could sense his power.

He was not a baron but Viscount, that alone would not be an issue. They were Gemma which was equal to a Count.

The issue was that, he was also a level 3 vampire, to fight across levels from 2 to 3, at least a rank difference of three was needed.

They knew immediately they were not a match for this guy and all of them attacked at the same time. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Suki’s Kusarigama split into 12, this was her second ability. Each chain moved like living serpents.

She wasn’t trying to cut down her opponent as she knew that would be impossible, the was trying to bind him.

At the same time, Athi attacked from behind while remaining invisible. Sbu shouted loudly.

His attack was bolder, his cleaver seemed to split the air while Bred came from the side with a punch that caused sonic booms.

At the same time, all four used pack call to inform Adrian but the connection was private and only to him.

Their attacks drew closer yet not one of them thought they would land, their opponent was yet to move.

Which was good for them since their intentions were to buy time for Adrian to arrive.

The vampire opened his palm, a dark red drop of blood appeared. He closed his palm causing the drop of blood to explode.

Clang, their attacks came to a stop and before any of them could react, multiple attacks landed on the same time.

BOOOOOM, they broke the sound barrier as they flew in different directions like ragdolls with gaping wounds on their bodies.
