Adrian’s control over his esper was not that great yet. He could move it inside his body but that was about it.

He couldn’t extend it outside his body which is why he was yet to reach level 5. However being able to move it inside his body was enough for now.

He could already imagine the multiple ways he could use it to enhance his strength, he couldn’t wait to test out his ideas.

He was just about to attack when he smelled six scents approaching from deep within the guild.

It were six members of his pack, the only ones besides him and Annie who were still here.

Amongst them was Naija, the only member not from the main lineage. Besides her were Melissa.

Marcus, Suki, John and Fred, Fred was a middle aged man with greyish temples who looked as Italian as one could look.

He was dressed like a butler and on his side was a sword, this was the strangest part about him.

While everybody gained a second ability upon becoming Gemma, he only retained one ability.

More specifically, his ability became absurdly more powerful and got even stronger when he became a Delta.

Fred was a pure swordsman through and through, even members of his lineage used no other weapon but swords.

These six were left behind for their own reasons. Just as Suzie assigned herself Adrian’s maid.

John assigned himself Adrian’s bodyguard a long time ago, after the guild was formed, Suki lost her purpose.

She used to be Annie’s bodyguard but Annie was around Adrian all the time now, that made her sad.

Annie felt sorry for her and made her and her lineage her bodyguards. Marcus probably didn’t want to leave Suki.

They tried to hide it but everybody knew there was something between them, even now they were sticking close to each other.

Melissa heard there might be a battle and refused to take one step out of the guild and as for Naija.

Well she’s Naija, she promised to slit her own throat if they tried to take her away from her lord.

Which confused Adrian because he couldn’t understand how was that supposed to be a threat.

Doing that would just hurt a little bit, not even enough to be an inconvenience. Adrian watched them walk towards him.

With the exception of Suki who stood in front of Annie defensively when though Annie was definitely stronger than her.

The others stood next to Adrian, he knew telling them to stand back would be useless so he let them.

He turned his gaze towards the level 6 wraith, the wraiths just floated there unmoving which confused everybody.

This did not fit what they knew about these dreadful creatures. Their silent stares of eyes like embers were chilling.

Suddenly a heavy presence appeared making the temperature drop even further, Adrian felt his hair stand on end.

The level 6 wraith stared at him but its previously blank dead stare now contained a hint of life and hatred.

It looked at Adrian with disgust and disdain, how could the king of wolves accept such a thing.

Adrian growled and transformed turning into a 3 metres tall muscular werewolf with shining silver fur.

His fur danced in the wind, those taking shelter within the guild gasped. " So, it’s really is the king of wolves, shouldn’t we do something?"

One of them asked but that just earned him a disdainful glare from the rest. " Have you forgotten we’re only alive because of him?

I might be a lot of things but ungrateful is not one of them, besides, we signed a contract, we owe him."

Adrian ignored them, they’ve already had this conversation before, they were just repeating themselves like idiots.

Plus he had no intentions of calling in that favour right now, he knew he would face much worse things someday.

Only then would he call in the favour but definitely not right now. The wraith raised its hand and pointed at him.

Its finger was long and emaciated like a corpse, when the shadowy smoke cleared around its face

Its true face appeared, like the finger, the face was grey and thin with nothing but wrinkled skin and bones like mummies.

Its teeth were pitch black and so were its nails. This was the true form of wraiths, a terrifying spirit type creature. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

Technically they fell under the umbrella of undead like zombies and ghouls. " I’vee fouuuund youuuu."

It spoke in a low grating voice like the screams of thousand souls. Adrian immediately knew there was something else hidden behind the wraith.

" Who are you?" He asked with a growl, his voice in his full form was deep and beast like giving him a much more imposing tone.

" I ammm your nightmare." Its manner of speech was drawn out like echoes with in deep caves.

" Yes you have, now what? Do you think these little pets of yours will be enough to deal with me?"

Adrian felt a sense of pride well up inside him, he didn’t even consider these wraiths as a threat.

Before the being behind the wraith could say anything else he attacked. Boom, the ground and the air shattered.

His speed suprised those who were watching, even though he wasn’t too fast compared to them.

For somebody of his level to move so fast was impressive, they all came to a hard realisation.

On the same level, Adrian might be stronger than them. Adrian covered the 100 metres distance between him and the wraith almost instantly.

His claws lashes out and he ripped through the wraith but he didn’t feel like he hit anything.

Adrian’s claws can interact with even intangibility things like ghosts to an extent but wraith were different.

They weren’t just intangible, their intangibility was a power, an ability that was not easy to overcome.

However that didn’t mean Adrian didn’t have anything that can overpower said ability. His claws might not be as effective but his fangs were different.

As a werewolf, Adrian’s bite force was beyond powerful. Two level 5 wraiths attacked him from both sides.

He pretended to retreat drawing them in then disappeared. He teleported behind one of them.

Snap, his fangs sunk into its smoky body with a loud snap.
