Chapter 98: Fallen dome

"Aria and Scarlet? Do they know about time travel, or do they just want the rewards? Ray dodged a strike and answered back with a blood sword shot to the center of Orb.

His fight had reached a deadlock for some time; neither of the two enemies could kill the other one. Ray’s attacks barely scratched his foe, and Orb didn’t have the mobility to kill Ray with a single strike.

"Aria is coming for the festival; Scarlet should be in here any moment now." Jade said with an emotionless tone, her power was at no level compared to an immortal at the moment.

Ray thought for a second before replying, "The two of them can’t enter here without the system suppressing most of their powers; it’s your best chance to join me in here."

"Khiii, join to die by the hands of aliens!"

His smile grew wider. "At least before dying we can kill two Immortals."

Jade’s laugh became louder. "Which one of us is going to be Aria? You with a level 4 ass?"

"I’m working on it." Ray closed the connection and returned his concentration to the battle at hand.

On the north a new enemy was awakening, and Ray already knew that this one at least was going to be on the same level as the Orb, and in a two-versus-one fight he had no chance.

Making a wall to protect against another blast, his wings grew shorter; with increased speed, he started moving toward the north.

More and more blasts of destruction magic came from the back; he dodged them with ease, but only the ones with their full bodies had no way to dodge.

The enemy on the north was already preparing an attack; the aura of its magic couldn’t be mistaken. "The small bird’s only goal was to mimic his magic so they can grant it to the horseman. Interesting."

Vice General ran away from the arena too, only leaving Ray against the two enemies.

The sky in front of him turned into a shining star; so many arrows were made that he couldn’t see anything behind them.

Before the attack could start, all three in the field froze in their place. Something had its eyes on them, something more deadly than three of them combined.

High in the sky, a woman floated in the air, with pink hair moving freely in the air. A pink glow rose from her fingers, taking over her right arm. When it wholly took over her arm, its color changed into dark purple, and before any of them could react, she launched a punch on top of the invisible doom.

The world started to shake; in different places on earth, cracks turned the cities in half, tsunamis with greater heights than ever before crushed the land, and yet the invisible wall still stayed unscrached.

The horsemen left the string too; with the speed of light, they started to go after Ray, like they knew who the target was they were destined to slay.

"Taking one of them head on means certain death..." Ray stayed unfazed by the events; his direction returned to the west, where the Orb awaited him.

Blood spears rained down from the sky on the explosive arrows, yet all they did was slow down their speed, with a few of them triggering an explosion. Even with the small number, Ray continued to launch attacks nonstop.

His direction was the main body of the orb; it understood his goal too. All eight tentacles attacked him at the same time. Due to their immense size, none could touch him. The problem was the arrows; they were already starting to burn his back from close distance.

Blood magic leaked from dozens of wounds on his body; without any care, Ray continued to dodge attacks and destroy the following projectiles with anything in his arsenal.

Dodging a horizontal attack, the main body of Orb finally could be attacked from up close; the problem was the ten-meter destruction magic aura as a layer on top of its skin.

Ray continued to rush toward it, reaching the tip of the destruction magic; his eyes shone with a red light, teleporting him to an area on top of the Orb. To his luck, the arrow didn’t hold the ability to teleport.

Half of the arrow hit its body. Ray had to cover his eyes from the lights made out of impact. Still, from the smoke came more arrows, persistent on killing him.

"Now it should do the blast." With hundreds of bloodshot eyes in the sky, Ray witnessed even their smallest moves.

After the dust left the scene, the sight of a wounded orb came to being. The problem was with all that power, the wound on its body barely scratched the surface of its skin.

It started to gather its tentacles inside of its sphere to unleash another blast; this time Ray didn’t have time to set up a proper defense with all the arrows.

Layers of blood moved throughout his skin, covering his whole body. His wings opened wide as he charged toward the orb; a blast of destruction came from his enemy. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

Head on, Ray jumped into the red aura; with the smallest touch, most of his body vaporized before it could reach his heart. With a sudden burst of his magic, his body returned to some extent, yet the destruction and his healing were a rapid contest.

When the blast reached the fusion bombs behind him, all of them exploded at the same time; the impact started burning his body from behind and giving him more speed.

The pain got so much that even Ray started to scream; his mind was on the brink of losing it as he went deeper. Such pain was not meant for a mortal. Even that was not enough to stop Ray. When he finally came out of the other side, only a heart with a white cage had remained.

The sight was his goal from the beginning. When the orb used its blast, it took him a few minutes to recharge the shield around its body, and now Ray could easily do whatever he wanted with it.

"Let’s see, would you taste as I toast you?" Ray yelled, with two giant hands coming out of his waist. Both hands held the orb; the tentacles came out again, but they were too late.

In a blink, Ray threw the orb on the burning dome next to them; underneath it was where once a city resided. Its skin started to burn, but with four of its tentacles, it started to attack the dome like a frenzied animal.

A rain of blood swords attacked toward the swordsman, and Ray moved toward the doom either; the most important part of his plan was getting closer.

The burning flames were worn off with all four of its tentacles burned to an extent that the Orb couldn’t control them anymore. As it flew to the sky once more, a figure passed it like light.

A gray ice greeted Ray as the rest of the defense, but with so much destruction magic, it had already weakened. A punch was all it took for him to make a way for himself inside of the dome.

His eyes watched the people beneath him with amazement; all of them were staring at him like some monster.

His eyes shined with killing intent. "All of you are going to die by the night. Mind if I do it first?"
