Detective Ghost Empress
Chapter 560: The Hidden Lies
Su Tai turned grim when he heard that the talisman could not be replicated. He thought that the celestial master that he had found would be able to replicate the talisman, and he would not have to beg in front of that servant, but it seemed like he was wrong. The talisman was not within his capability.
"Are you sure that you cannot create a talisman similar to this? Even if you can recreate it partly, I will consider it done." Su Tai still held on to the one hope that the celestial master would be able to deal with the trouble that his family was facing. However, the celestial master simply shook his head again and again and said, "I am afraid that my cultivation is not enough, Magistrate Su. If you want to get your hands on the talisman that rescued your son, then you have to talk about it with the master."
The celestial master was most afraid of getting dragged into this awful mess. To think that there was really a ghost hiding in this house. When he came here, he never imagined that there would really be a ghost in this mansion. But after he saw what happened tonight, the celestial master was scared out of his wits; he was afraid that if he dared to get entangled in this mess, he would end up losing his life.
He loved money, but he loved his life more. He won’t be silly enough to lose his life for a few taels.
The celestial master bowed his head in front of Su Tai and then took his leave. Once he stepped out of the Su mansion, the celestial master patted his chest in relief. He was worried that he would end up losing everything for just a few taels!
He glanced behind him, and after taking a few steps away from the mansion, he spat on the road. "Naturally, he did something really sinister for him to hide the truth so desperately. To think I thought that even if this man was ruthless, he would have never done anything that might have crossed all lines, but it seems like I was the one who underestimated this man too much."
The celestial master walked away without looking behind him. He was worried that if he stayed any longer, he would end up carrying bad luck with him.
While the celestial master was in a hurry to leave, Su Tai was panicking inside his gigantic mansion. For the first time in his life, he didn’t feel satisfied when he saw the luxuries and the gold ornaments sitting in the corners of his room. He felt terrified at the thought that in a few hours, the sun would set and the night would arrive. When that happened, the evil spirits would become active again, and his life would be in danger. What would happen if that thing attacked his son again? He was scared that the thing would attack and target his son again.
"My lord, you need to do something," said the concubine who was the mother of Su Tai’s son. She sobbed with an aggrieved note in her voice, "We only have this one son; if something happened to him, what would happen to our family?"
Su Tai was annoyed by her crying. He snapped at her angrily, "What do you think? Can’t you see that I am worried as well?" He was also worried about his son, but he had no idea what to do. The servant who followed Lord Ji clearly stated that he needed to tell him the truth, but there was no way he could tell the truth to that man, especially in front of lord Ji.
He smashed his fist on the armrest, and his eyes started to flash malevolently. He wondered what he should do to make that man start working for him.

The next morning, Zhai Tianyu looked at the woman in front of him; she still looked pale, but she looked a bit better. As he sat down next to her, while keeping his distance, he relayed the information that he had discovered. "Hui Ying, how can you be so capable? It was just as you expected. This man indeed had a half-sister. I had to dig quite deep before I was able to get the information. Su Tai is quite lucky, but his half-sister is quite unlucky. A few years ago, she came to this mansion and suddenly died right after her daughter. The servants were unwilling to speak about her because they thought she was so unlucky that even talking about her would bring bad luck."
After listening to Zhai Tianyu’s response, Liu Hui Ying could already confirm a few things in her heart. She suddenly got up on her feet and said to the man, "Let’s go. You should go and take a look at the condition of the little child. After what happened last night, you should be worried about the condition of your subordinate’s child, your majesty."
Zhai Tianyu was slightly puzzled. He still agreed obediently, "Alright, since you want me to take a look at the child, then I will go and take a look."
"Good."
Zhai Tianyu was quite sharp when it came to such things. Since his wife told him to visit the child, he would certainly do that.
Liu Hui Ying followed Zhai Tianyu. After finding out the truth, she had more or less understood what was going on, but she still wanted to confirm some things. She fell behind a step, Zhai Tianyu, and followed him closely. Soon, the two of them arrived at the main mansion, where Su Tai rushed outside at once. He took a look at Zhai Tianyu and smiled flatteringly, "My Lord, there was no need for you to rush over in a hurry like this. If you had told me that you wanted to see my unfilial child, then I would have brought him over to you."
"There is no need." Zhai Tianyu raised his hand and said with a smile, "The child must have been scared after what happened last night. Let him rest; my servant and I will just take a look and then take our leave."
As soon as Zhai Tianyu mentioned Liu Hui Ying, Su Tai raised his head and turned to look at Liu Hui Ying with a hint of a frown on his face.
