"Do you know something? How strange, why do you seem to know the answer before anyone else?"

Feng Yuan asked Qi Chen and Dou Yanlan with a puzzled look. Wu Dingwu, who was observing on the side, was taken aback. Feng Yuan’s words seemed quite sensible. If it was a private matter, it would be different, but this was clearly an anomaly triggered by a mutation. Why did Qi Chen and the others seem to understand the truth better than Feng Yuan?

With a helpless smile, Qi Chen said,

"We don’t know the answer, but we’ve been experimenting with some potions lately. I was just asking to verify a few things."

"At least, from what we understand, there’s a significant discrepancy regarding when the anomaly occurred."

"Though it’s a possibility, I’m more inclined toward time correction since they have the protection of the White Wolf Deity, which shields them from the effects of time correction."

After pondering for a moment, Feng Yuan said, continuing, he told Qi Chen,

"Why don’t you share your findings first? It’s not that easy to determine if it’s time correction, considering this stuff... there’s no way to verify it."

This thing originates from changes within the records of the Time River, resulting in self-correction. Therefore, once it happens, unless you’re under protection like Qi Chen and the others, you won’t even notice that anything occurred.

Naturally, there’s no way to verify whether a time correction occurred because the past history has already changed, and even through the Time River, one cannot obtain the answers.

Unless deeper methods are used, but generally speaking, that’s unnecessary, even if Feng Yuan could do it, it would be too troublesome.

Dou Yanlan gestured with her eyes to Qi Chen before explaining, after thinking, she continued,

With that, Dou Yanlan slightly nodded to indicate she had finished speaking. Wu Xiaoya rubbed her chin and said,

"According to your classification, the changes we noticed were indeed like that. However, we dealt with a broader range of potions, not just Restoration Potions that showed changes, thus we realized the anomaly."

"Some Healing Potions turned into poison, and some enhancement potions had their effects altered as well, like a potion meant to temporarily boost attack power ended up boosting defensive power instead. It wasn’t merely an inversion of effects."

Apart from these students specializing in potion preparation, most other students wouldn’t prepare too many potions, hence they didn’t realize what was happening.

As for Feng Yuan, that goes without saying. The guy barely uses potions, even with the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound joining him, since he has other means to replace the effects of potions.

"So, when did you each notice these changes?"

Glancing between Wu Xiaoya and Dou Yanlan, Feng Yuan slowly asked. After a moment of thought, Dou Yanlan replied,

Wu Xiaoya’s perplexed yet sure words nearly bewildered Wu Dingwu, while Feng Yuan pondered and said,

"If so, the likelihood of a time correction is high. But what exactly caused this change to retrace back and undergo correction?"

Unlike usual circumstances, where time correction generally occurs due to changes at a specific moment in the past to prevent already destroyed objects or deceased individuals from abruptly appearing later on, the Time River makes corrections to all affected time points.

Agunas flicked its tail and said,

"I don’t know. Lorraine Tower and I will investigate this immediately."

This anomaly in time correction, if not handled promptly, could evolve into severe trouble, hence Agunas didn’t elaborate further.

Feng Yuan glanced at Agunas and shook his head. He had a feeling that this strange phenomenon might be linked to that group, but he couldn’t fathom what exactly they had done.

Various anomalies suggested that their actions weren’t as simple as imagined, but saying they intended destruction was also unlikely.

Feng Yuan knew well what he had taught them initially, which included a part of his own power, but most methods relied on the world itself. In such circumstances, Feng Yuan didn’t believe they had the ability to create a cataclysm.

Without minding Qi Chen’s grim expression, Veronia continued,

"Those people might not be so benevolent. At least if it were me, I wouldn’t care about the life or death of beings in this era, since as far as the world is concerned, as long as the fundamental foundation isn’t destroyed, everything else is tolerable."

"However, they lack that capability, and creating destruction must be profitable for them. If they are laying plans, what could they be aiming to gain?"

Looking at Veronia, Feng Yuan questioned, letting out a gentle laugh, Veronia said,

"Territory from the old era, that’s something even I find tempting."

"Highly unlikely, they probably don’t have fixed territory, unlike you guys."

Not to mention, for rebuilding, Veronia could rebuild Mitradite, but for them...what could they rebuild? Ordinary people wandering across the world, saving the oppressed. They, do they really have a need for a nation to rebuild?
