Chapter 136: Time for Revenge
Of course, Lin Yun’s claim of planting seeds inside their bodies was a complete lie. Little Ape didn’t know how to do anything of the sort—it was just something Lin Yun had said to fool them.
But judging by their expressions, the effect was clearly quite good. At the very least, a trace of fear now flickered across each of their faces.
"Don’t worry," Lin Yun said, putting on a serious act. "As long as you all perform well, I’ll naturally remove the seeds from your bodies when the time is right."
At his words, the entire group nodded in unison, their expressions so respectful they looked as if they were meeting the Dean of the Academy.
Laughing to himself, Lin Yun found that these guys actually had an endearing side to them. Especially with their current expressions, they were all so afraid of displeasing him, each one trying their best to look eager and obedient.
"Boss, you should live in my cave."
"Yes, yes, Boss, you should move in here! Our spot is the best in the entire Opening Realm region," the crowd chimed in, scrambling over one another to curry favor with Lin Yun.
"My name is Lin Shan. Don’t call me ’Boss,’ it sounds weird," Lin Yun replied. He wasn’t used to being called "Boss" repeatedly.
"Yes, yes, Young Master Lin," the group replied. They naturally wouldn’t dare address him by his full name.
After a quick tour, Lin Yun found that the caves here were indeed much better than his own—not only were they larger, but the air was also significantly fresher.
"Alright, I’ll take your cave," Lin Yun said to the group’s former leader.
Lin Yun then rearranged the cave to his liking and summoned the three leaders.
"Young Master Lin, did you need us for something?" the three asked with utmost respect.
"Yes. I need you to find someone for me. He entered this place at the same time I did. The moment you find him, report back to me immediately," Lin Yun instructed.
The person Lin Yun wanted them to find was, of course, Tang Wushuang. Nearly a month had passed since he entered Celestial Net Peak. Now that he’d had a breakthrough in strength and had a group of lackeys at his command, Lin Yun had no intention of letting Tang Wushuang have an easy time.
’Tang Wushuang,’ Lin Yun sneered inwardly, ’I’m going to make Celestial Net Peak your personal nightmare.’
Having received their orders, the three leaders solemnly vowed that they would find Tang Wushuang. They quickly gathered all their men and began searching for his whereabouts.
Sure enough, as the former local tyrants, the three leaders knew this area like the back of their hands. It took them less than a day to find Tang Wushuang’s location.
Instead of rushing to report back, they decided to capture Tang Wushuang and drag him back themselves. They hoped to earn some credit with Lin Yun; perhaps if he was in a good mood, he would really remove the seeds from their bodies.
"Hey, you in there! Listen up! You have three breaths to get your ass out here, or we’ll beat you so hard you’ll be picking your teeth off the ground!" Tang Wushuang, who was in the middle of meditating, was suddenly startled by someone shouting at the entrance to his cave.
The one shouting was, of course, the scrawny one among the three leaders. He was still sporting a face swollen like a pig’s head.
Tang Wushuang was already in a foul mood, and hearing the taunts made his anger skyrocket. He had fought a major battle with Lin Yun right after entering this place. Although he hadn’t exactly lost, he had certainly suffered a disadvantage.
It had taken him nearly twenty days to restore his Elemental Power, and he had been itching for an outlet for his frustration. Without a second thought, Tang Wushuang strode out of his cave. In this entire region, only Lin Yun could pose a threat to him. Other than Lin Yun, he, Tang Wushuang, feared no one.
"You’re courting death!" Tang Wushuang’s furious roar echoed out before he even appeared. When he finally stepped out of the cave, however, he found twenty people surrounding the entrance.
That wasn’t the main point. What Tang Wushuang found most bizarre was that all twenty of them had faces swollen like pig heads. It was obvious they had just been beaten up.
"You’re Tang Wushuang?" the scrawny one asked, ignoring Tang Wushuang’s odd stare.
"That’s right. Who are you people? Daring to cause a scene here, are you looking to die...?" Tang Wushuang said coldly, but before he could even finish, the twenty-odd men charged forward, yelling.
The way they looked at him made Tang Wushuang feel like prey. But he had no grudge against them and had never even seen them before. ’They charge at me, howling, without even finishing a conversation? What is going on?’
Tang Wushuang was baffled, but facing their attack, he certainly wasn’t going to surrender without a fight. And just as had happened with Lin Yun, the group was once again thoroughly thrashed, this time at the hands of Tang Wushuang.
Witnessing Tang Wushuang’s Combat Power, the men were on the verge of tears. They had been shocked by how strong Lin Yun’s Combat Power was, but they never expected Tang Wushuang’s to be on the same level.
After getting thrashed twice in a row, the men knew Tang Wushuang was not someone they could handle. They immediately resorted to threats. "Kid, you just wait! Our boss is coming to take care of you!"
Without even waiting for a reply, the group turned and fled from his sight.
"Damn it, is everyone here insane? They just start a fight without saying a single word. What a pain," Tang Wushuang muttered. Watching them flee, he didn’t give chase. He found it bizarre. He’d never seen these people before, yet they had charged at him as if they were hopped up on adrenaline.
Not giving it much more thought, Tang Wushuang went back into his cave. ’As long as Lin Yun doesn’t show up, I have nothing to fear from anyone. In this place, I, Tang Wushuang, am the strongest.’
「Meanwhile,」 the group that had been thrashed by Tang Wushuang returned to Lin Yun’s cave. The three leaders proceeded to tell Lin Yun what happened, heavily embellishing the story.
"Young Master Lin, you have to stand up for us! We found Tang Wushuang and told him that Young Master Lin had sent for him. But who would have guessed? He didn’t say another word and just started wailing on us."
"Yeah! He even said Young Master Lin is a coward and an idiot! He said if you have the guts, you should come yourself!"
"Yes, yes! Hearing him insult you, Young Master Lin, we couldn’t stand for it! We fought him for over a hundred rounds, but in the end, we were no match for him and got beaten badly."
The three of them laid it on thick. Lin Yun, who had been listening the whole time, didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. ’These three are just saying all this because they want me to go get revenge for them.’
"Alright! Take me to him right now! I’ll get revenge for you. I’ll beat his face into a swollen pulp, tie him up, and drag him back here so you can beat him every day. How does that sound?" Lin Yun declared with a show of bravado. In truth, he had no intention of letting Tang Wushuang off the hook, regardless of what they said. But since they had put on such a tearful performance, he decided to play along.
Hearing Lin Yun’s promise, the three leaders perked right up. They started clamoring about how they were going to make Tang Wushuang pay, and a torrent of praises like "Young Master Lin is mighty!" began to flow.
"Young Master Lin is mighty! Beat down that piece of trash, Tang Wushuang!"
"Young Master Lin is mighty...!"
The group set off once more for Tang Wushuang’s cave, shouting all the way. As they passed, many students watched from a distance, curious to see what this band of local tyrants was up to now.
"Looks like someone else is in for it," many of the onlookers sighed as they watched the bullies pass. These guys had done plenty of preying on the weak here. Aside from murder, there was almost nothing they wouldn’t dare to do.
