Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me
Chapter 322: A Displaced Love (22)
"Why should I?" Tristan Grayson’s lips twisted into a self-deprecating smirk. He opened the car door, got out, and closed in on Mika Summers, looming over her. "Back then, when all you wanted was to die, did you ever spare a thought for Kiki? Did you ever think about our son being left without a mother?"
The old wounds were ripped open again by Tristan Grayson. Mika Summers’s eyes reddened as her heart ached with a familiar numbness. "Tristan Grayson, you have no right to say that to me!" ’If it weren’t for those crazy women he’d gotten tangled up with, would I have been driven to the point of collapse?’
"You’re right. I have no right." Tristan Grayson raised his fist and slammed it into the car behind him, as if trying to vent all his frustration and regret.
It felt as if his fist had struck Mika Summers’s own heart. She suppressed her emotions, forcing herself to appear strong. "Tristan Grayson, I want to see my son." ’I have to take my son and get out of here. Leave this place for good.’
’She wasn’t as strong as she’d thought, nor as heartless. When faced with Tristan Grayson, she was still the same pathetic Mika Summers she’d always been.’
A flicker of darkness crossed Tristan Grayson’s eyes. He slowly retracted his fist and turned to face Mika Summers. "You want to see him? Fine. Spend one night with me, and I’ll let you."
SMACK! A heavy slap landed across Tristan Grayson’s face. Mika Summers’s eyes were blazing as she spoke in a cold voice, "Tristan Grayson, I can’t believe you’re still so despicable!"
Tristan Grayson lowered his head slightly, raising a hand to touch his smarting right cheek. A pang of pain went through his heart, but his lips curved into a derisive smirk. He laughed. "Are you done? If not, feel free to continue."
"—" Mika Summers’s body trembled slightly. She hastily drew back her hand and turned away, not daring to look at Tristan Grayson again.
’Even after two years, it seemed all her old fear had been dredged up in an instant.’
Seeing her slender frame, Tristan Grayson’s brow furrowed in anguish. As if acting on instinct, he reached out from behind and wrapped his arms tightly around her, burying his face in the crook of her neck.
Mika Summers froze for a moment, then began to struggle violently. "Let go of me!"
"Tristan Grayson, you bastard, let me go!"
...
No matter how much she struggled or cursed him, he continued to hold her tightly, not loosening his grip in the slightest.
Mika Summers grew tired. She didn’t want to struggle anymore. Forcing herself to calm down as quickly as she could, her lips curved into a cold sneer. "Tristan Grayson, what’s the point of this?"
"Then tell me, what should I do? What do I have to do for you to come back to me? What do I have to do for you to... forgive me..."
Mika Summers struggled harder, her voice dripping with scorn. "Tristan Grayson, are you messing with me? Do you still think I’m the same Mika Summers who used to do nothing but cling to you?" 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
"It was all my fault before. Everything was my fault, Mika. Just give me one more chance, I swear I won’t..."
Just then, a car screeched to a halt beside them. "Tristan Grayson! Let her go!"
But Tristan Grayson only held Mika Summers tighter, refusing to let go. His gaze, however, shifted to the man in the sports car.
’He was certain this was the same man who had been in Mika’s car the other night.’
Mika Summers began to struggle with even more force. "Tristan Grayson, let me go!"
"Who is he?" Tristan Grayson asked through gritted teeth.
"It’s none of your business who he is! Let me go!"
Seeing that the two had no intention of separating, Silas Kent slammed his car door shut and stalked toward them...
