Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me
Chapter 340: Unsettled Love (40)
"What did you expect?" Jason Lockwood found it laughable. He didn’t need to keep taking risks to bail this woman out.
Eleanor Bishop fought back tears and roared, "Jason Lockwood, for the Bishop Family to get out of this mess, we need at least a billion. You’re only giving me two hundred million. Are you trying to kill me?"
"Eleanor Bishop, have you gotten it through your head yet? If it weren’t for me, you would’ve been driven to your death two years ago. Besides, if you want to save the Bishop Family, it’s not like you’re out of options. Don’t you still have Archie Lockwood? For old times’ sake, and since you’re the mother of his child, he won’t just stand by and watch you die."
"Jason Lockwood, if it weren’t for you, Archie and I would never have ended up like this!"
"That’s not my problem. I’ve done more than enough for you these past two years. Here’s two hundred million. Take it or leave it. But from now on, stay out of my sight."
Eleanor Bishop’s fists were clenched tightly. After a long moment, she slowly relaxed her hands, reached for the two checks on the table, picked them up, and turned to leave.
As he watched Eleanor Bishop walk away, Jason Lockwood’s expression turned chillingly sinister.
’Now that she doesn’t have my help, she’ll have no choice but to go back to Archie Lockwood. When that happens, I can make good use of her...’
At this thought, the smile that touched Jason Lockwood’s lips grew even more malevolent.
He stood, closed the office door, and locked it. His sharp eyes turned toward the door of the break room, a hint of warmth softening their gaze.
Inside the break room, Jasmine Warren had gotten out of bed when the argument started. She’d walked to the door to eavesdrop.
When she heard them discussing money, Jasmine Warren’s expression turned foul. ’That woman outside gets two hundred million for one session, and I only got a million?’
She was so furious she nearly kicked the door down to storm out and give him a piece of her mind. ’Her price is ridiculously low!’
Just then, the man reached the door and unlocked it with his key. Jasmine’s mind was so fixated on those two hundred million that she didn’t hear the door opening at all.
The instant the man opened the door, she lunged out.
The man caught her easily, a wicked smirk playing on his lips. "In such a hurry to throw yourself into my arms?"
Jasmine Warren angrily shoved Jason Lockwood away. "Throw myself at you? My ass! Don’t you dare look down on me, you plastic-faced prick. How come that woman just got two hundred million?"
Suddenly, Jasmine Warren remembered something, and the look she gave Jason Lockwood was murderous. "Wait, you gave her *four* hundred million!"
"Yes, four hundred million." Jason Lockwood saw nothing wrong with it, his large hand continuing to roam over Jasmine’s body, taking liberties.
Jasmine Warren shot her knee up toward his groin. "Go to hell, you bastard! I’ll fucking cripple you!"
Jason Lockwood’s face fell. Before he could even react, the heavy blow landed, and he nearly lost his footing.
"HSSS—you woman..." He gripped her waist tightly, trying to suppress the blinding pain that felt like he’d been neutered.
"That’s what you get for messing with me! Jason Lockwood, you listen up! My price is two hundred million, too! Not a penny less!"
Jason Lockwood fought the urge to kill her and said coldly, "You want money that badly?" ’She’s actually selling her body for money?’
"That’s right! Not a penny less!" Even though she hadn’t seen what the other woman looked like, they were both women. Why should she be taken advantage of by Jason Lockwood and then be dismissed with a mere million?
"Fine. I’ll give you two hundred million. But you heard what was said. I was with that woman for over two years..." Jason didn’t know why her words made him so angry, but he still found himself going along with her demand. At the same time, for some reason, he was torn—he hoped she would agree, but also wanted her to refuse.
