Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me
Chapter 345: Unsettled Love (45)
The next day, a story broke on the front pages in Tridell.
It was news of an affair involving Cassian Jennings, husband to President Vance of the Vance Group.
In an instant, all the controversy was once again directed at the Jennings Family.
Tristan Grayson held the newspaper, a complex expression in his eyes.
’It’s been over two years. It’s time for this to end.’
’Even if this was about revenge, more than two years should have been enough.’
Tristan Grayson slammed the newspaper onto the table. He picked up the phone beside him and called Henry Archer.
"Henry, call Ian Shaw immediately and tell him to get his ass back to Tridell!"
"Yes, sir."
’For the past two years, no one had it worse than him and Cassian Jennings.’
’One had to make it up to the Avery Family, while the other had to make it up to the Summers Family.’
’But they had been atoning for more than two years, and that should be enough...’
’Everyone was blaming Cassian Jennings, but was the Avery Family completely blameless?’
’Was Amelia Avery blameless?’
’Or was there nothing wrong with the Avery Family hiding the truth from everyone and announcing that Amelia Avery was dead?’
Two years ago, after he was discharged from the hospital, he had sent Ian Shaw away.
It wasn’t just to make it easier to search for Mika Summers. More importantly, he didn’t want to drag Ian Shaw into his troubles.
’Now, it’s time for him to come back.’

「That afternoon, in the CEO’s office at the Sovereign Group.」
Jessica Archer glanced at Silas Kent, who looked displeased, then turned her gaze to Mika Summers. After a moment of hesitation, she finally spoke. "President Summers, the heads of the branch companies want to hold a welcome party for you tomorrow morning. Will you be attending?"
Mika Summers looked up from her documents, glancing coldly at Silas Kent. "I won’t be attending such boring gatherings. If they insist on having someone, it would be most appropriate to invite Mr. Kent."
Feeling uneasy, Jessica Archer asked in a low voice, "Mr. Kent, will you be attending?"
"If President Summers doesn’t go, I won’t go. If she goes, I’ll go," Silas Kent said coldly, without even sparing Jessica Archer a glance.
Jessica Archer’s expression soured. She looked at Mika Summers again. "President Summers, it would be best if you met with them."
Mika Summers tossed her pen onto the desk and stood up. "Mr. Kent, what do you think?"
"Those old foxes are definitely up to no good, but there’s no harm in meeting them," Silas Kent said, raising a handsome eyebrow with a roguish smile.
Mika Summers nodded. "Alright. Jessica, please make the arrangements."
"Yes, ma’am."
Watching Jessica Archer leave, Mika Summers frowned slightly. It wasn’t that she was afraid of meeting the branch heads; she just didn’t want to see Tristan Grayson.
After what had happened with Tristan Grayson last night, she felt a sliver of fear.
She didn’t dare to face him directly. She had even snuck out of the house before dawn just to avoid him.
From the moment Jessica Archer left, Silas Kent’s eyes never left Mika Summers.
Seeing her frown, her mind clearly elsewhere, he gave a self-deprecating smirk.
’This woman... she really shows everything on her face.’
It was almost the end of the workday.
Silas Kent watched Mika Summers, who showed no sign of packing up, and his brow furrowed.
Mika had been distracted all day. She had probably barely absorbed two lines from the documents in front of her.
She kept waiting for Silas Kent to leave, but he refused to go. Not at lunchtime, and not now. He just sat there, watching her...
Silas Kent glanced at his watch. ’Even if she’s not done working, she still needs to eat.’ He rose from the sofa and said coolly, "Mika, it’s getting late. We should be heading home."
