Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me
Chapter 386: A Love with Nowhere to Go (86)
"..." Kiki’s eyes reddened, and he lowered his head without a word.
Seeing Kiki’s hurt expression, Mika Summers knew she had scared him again. She sighed softly. "Kiki, I’m sorry. Mommy didn’t mean to snap at you."
Kiki looked up at Mika Summers. "But I like Dad. I want to be with him."
"Okay, Mommy understands. Don’t be sad, and don’t cry. If you like him, then you can be with him."
"Then what about you?" Kiki asked quietly, a glimmer of hope in his eyes.
Mika Summers hadn’t expected Kiki to ask that. A bitter smile touched her lips as tears welled in her eyes. She reached out and caressed Kiki’s small face. "Me? Mommy will probably go back to Austerra, because this place, this city... it breaks my heart."
"..."
She chuckled softly. "Look at me... what’s wrong with me, telling you all this? Anyway, just remember that Mommy loves you, Kiki. I’ll always love you."
This time, Kiki didn’t throw a fit. He just kept his head down, silent.
’He didn’t understand what she was saying, but he knew this woman wasn’t going to be with them...’

When Silas Kent saw Mika Summers arrive with the child, he frowned for a moment before smiling. "So this is Kiki?"
"That’s right," Mika Summers nodded.
"He really doesn’t look like you," Silas Kent said with another smile, rubbing his chin as he studied the boy.
Silas Kent’s words made Mika Summers’s expression darken. She sat on the sofa, holding Kiki close, and said coldly, "What do you mean he doesn’t look like me? I think he looks exactly like me."
"Haha, now that I take a closer look, I guess there is a little resemblance." Silas Kent got up, walked over to the mother and son, and leaned in for another careful inspection.
"Of course he looks like me," Mika Summers said, displeased, hugging Kiki tighter and looking up at him.
Silas Kent dropped his smile and put on a serious expression, clearing his throat. "Ahem, your name is Kiki, right?" he asked softly.
"Mhm..." Kiki nodded, his eyes filled with a wariness reserved for strangers.
"Kiki, your mom has to work. How about I take you out for a bit?" Silas Kent said patiently.
But upon hearing this, Kiki immediately turned and clung to Mika Summers, coldly refusing, "No! You’re a bad guy, stay away from me!"
’He has shifty eyes. He doesn’t look like a good person at all. He must be another bad guy trying to kidnap me.’
Feeling Kiki cling to her so tightly, Mika Summers was inwardly delighted. She laughed heartlessly. "Haha! Silas Kent, you’ve finally met your match!"
Silas Kent shrugged and sank onto the sofa in defeat. "Well, there’s no mistaking you’re mother and son."
"We are mother and son."

After hearing what Louise Jordan had to say, Archie Lockwood was so enraged that he swept everything off his desk.
’That woman really has some nerve! A lot of nerve!’
’If he doesn’t give her the medicine, she’ll just go buy it herself?’
’Their relationship is just a transaction?’
’Hah...’
’So ruthless. So despicable!’
Just then, Howard Rhodes rushed in. "Boss," he said in a serious tone, "the Old Master just called. He wants to know when you plan on coming back."
"Next month," Archie Lockwood said coldly, suppressing his rage as he sat back down in his chair.
"But the Old Master said... there’s been some progress on the matter of the madam..."
At those words, Archie Lockwood shot to his feet. "We’re going back now."
"Yes, sir."
