"Xirannnn, Wake up!" Aselia’s shrill voice jolted him awake.

"What! What happened? Are kids alright?" he sat up straight in the bed, his head jerking around looking for any trouble. His eyes hardly opened.

"They are. But at the rate they are popping, I don’t think our diaper reserves can hold on. We are out of diapers, we need a whole truck," she sighed in frustration and Xiran breathed out in relief.

"You scared me, Leia. I thought something happened to the kids."

"Shit storm happened which flew away with all the diapers," she was cradling Arian who was watching his father. Xiran couldn’t help but let out a small laugh at her words and the gross face she was making.

"Don’t worry, I will get more diapers. Come little one come to Daddy," he held out his hands and Aselia handed him over.

"Rubisha and Silver are coming to visit us today. Silver had been away on some mission, he just returned so they are coming to see the twins," Aselia informed Xiran, he was making funny faces at his son, who watched him with a creased forehead not at all pleased.

"Alright, ask Selia to prepare the food for them and we should arrange a gift for their son. We haven’t even seen him yet," Xiran answered, still busy with Arian, trying to make him smile.

"Pick something up when you go to fetch diapers," Aselia was watching father and son bonding with a satisfied smile.

"I will. And you little one stop hoarding my wife, she is mine too. You are taking up all of her time," Xiran playfully pinched his chubby cheek which Arian didn’t find amusing at all. He closed his eyes and began wailing loudly. Aselia had to bite her lower lip to not laugh out.

"Ok, ok you win. You little manipulative bunny," Xiran handed him back with a sigh.

"Shhh, it’s alright. Your father was only joking," Aselia kissed his forehead, trying to pacify him. Xiran got out of bed and defeatedly walked over to his wife and son.

"He is going to be such a schemer, I can feel it," Xiran peeked over at him from Aselia’s shoulder while wrapping his arms around her waist. It wasn’t as slim as it used to be, she had put on weight and wasn’t getting any time to resume working out.

"Heh! I swear he is going to be such a troublemaker." he had stopped wailing and was now falling asleep as Aselia gently rocked him.

"Hmm, at least I can kiss my wife," Xiran traced small kisses along Aselia’s neck, seeing Arian was almost dozing.

"Wait till they start crawling and walking, we are going to get even busier. I can’t even manage time to exercise. Look at all this mass on my belly," she wistfully sighed.

"Hey! I always wanted you to be more chubby and I am loving the extra fat. You are so cuddly now," he tightened his arms around her waist.

"Yeah, not for long. I am getting back into shape soon. Let me put him into the cot. Go get those diapers before they poop again," Aselia escaped his grasp with Arian and Xiran was left wanting his wife.

"Yes, ma’am."

----------

Rubisha and Silver Wolf arrived around evening with their son Ilyus, who was about seven months old now and had already learnt to crawl.

"Your babies are beautiful, Aselia," Rubisha was holding and playing with Ciaran, while Silver had Arian. He was unusually quiet and was staring at Silver with his intelligent eyes.

"This one is sharp, Aselia. He is going to be like you," Silver added with a subtle chuckle.

"Yes, let’s see. So how has parenthood been treating you guys?" Aselia asked while kissing the tomato-red cheeks of Ilyus.

He was a perfect blend of his parents. Brown hair, shining blue eyes and a facial structure that resembled Silver.

"He is a handful, handling him is even more challenging than capturing vampires," Silver’s sturdy arms so tenderly held Arian, "Isn’t that right little one?" he softly asked.

"Two to three years ago I could never even imagine you or myself in this position. How fate has entangled us with vampires," Aselia sarcastically remarked.

"Serves both of you right for hating our kind. Now you are stuck with us for an eternity," Rubisha self-satisfyingly grinned, making others join in.

"Yes we have come a long way to overcome the prejudices and here is to wishing our children will grow up bridging the gaps we created. I would love to see them growing up side by side."

Silver and Rubisha were planning to relocate to Fritez as well. Rubisha wanted to be near her brothers while Silver considered Fritez to be safer with Xiran as being its head. He also was of the view that his child should grow up near a family. Since he didn’t have a family of his own he considered Aselia and others as one now.

"That’s a wonderful idea, you should discuss it with Xiran, he will help you with accommodation," Aselia was happy they were choosing Fritez.

"Yes, because I have to be away on missions so it will be assuring that Rubisha and Ilyus are in capable hands. I wouldn’t have to worry," Silver explained, wearing a satisfied smile.

"And I would like to set up my business here as well. Fritez is the hub of fashion and with Rivan already running a successful company, I have more chances of thriving in this city," Rubisha laid out her plan as she put Ciaran in the cot since he had gone to sleep.

"Plus our kids will grow up together, get to know each other from the start and form unbreakable bonds. That’s what swells my heart. Won’t that be great Ilyus? You will be everyone’s big brother," Aselia tenderly caressed Ilyus’s plump pink cheek and he heartily laughed in return, agreeing with the plans of the elders.

A new dawn was rising on Fritez bringing it with a new generation who would have their own adventures.
