Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 55: A special dress
[ This Chapter is dedicated to my two fellow authors who helped me in detailing it beautifully. Love you ladies @QueenFrieza @Juujuu Sky. Thank you so much.]
Over the next month, Aselia made a speedy recovery. Soon she was walking without help and was allowed to eat. Her right hand and ribs healed properly. Only leaving scars behind both on her body and mind.
She couldn’t wait to get back to work out again but Doctor Wanstine asked her to wait for a couple of weeks.
Earlier, she had checked her shoes and found the communication device and serums safely tucked inside. She tried using the device couple of times when Xiran was out but no one answered on the other end. She was unaware of the tragedy that had befallen Agent 35.
It had been a month without any contact from her organisation. She was sure they were just laying low, for now, to let the situation settle after the attack from the Phantom.
She had gone back to her normal routine. Xiran allowed her to go back to her room. She had begged and nagged him, but now Frila was always glued to her when Xiran was not there. He had also brought her plenty of books to read, so she won’t get bored in his absence. Now that she was becoming independent again, he got busier with his work. And it had been three days since she had seen him.
Not that he didn’t want to be with her every second of his time. He just wanted to give her space so she won’t feel suffocated because of his constant presence.
Frila knocked on the door as Aselia was painting to keep herself busy. "Yes," Aselia spoke without turning. Frila entered with a bright smile on her face and a huge emerald green box in her hand.
"You seem happy, what is it?" Aselia inquired as she turned towards her.
"Señor has asked me to get you ready, he wants to show you something." She replied a grin playing on her lips.
Aselia was surprised: "Show me what exactly?"
"I don’t know, Aselia. He has asked me to make you wear a dress." 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
"A dress? I don’t wear dresses." Aselia pouted looking at the box in Frila’s hands.
"His orders," with that Frila placed the box on the bed, unfurling the silver ribbon she opened the box and took out a breathtaking Aquamarine dress.
Frila held it up so Aselia could see it better. The floor-length wrap gown was Aquamarine silk. Its belted waist created an hourglass silhouette, which let loose into a wide flare downwards to the floor. One arm was sleeved and the other was mesh, featuring a vine crawling up the left arm and down that side of the body.
Its v-neck was low set to show a decent amount of the bosom which was covered with a body net that would subtly take the colour of the wearer. The net was adorned with gemstones having different shades of green.
It was long-sleeved, the right sleeve designed with bodycon lace, featuring a vine crawling up the arm down that side of the body. It was studded with emeralds and turquoise pearls covering the right part of the chest and down to the waist. The other arm was silk and its sleeve was decorated with emeralds and pearls.
Aselia felt like there was something stuck in her throat and she couldn’t breathe looking at this magnificent dress. Her cheeks had turned red. No one had ever bought her something so elegant and expensive before. She stared at the dress in a shocked state.
"Ummm... I can’t wear this." Aselia finally spoke, her eyes indicating sadness.
"Why? What’s wrong dear? You don’t like it?" Frila asked softly while carefully spreading the dress on the bed.
"It’s not that. I am not used to wearing these."
"Well, you will get used to it once you try it. And Señor is going to be bringing you a lot more. Come on now, let me help you get dressed. He is waiting." Frila stepped forward taking the paintbrush from her hand she placed it in the dipper and began to push Aselia towards the bathroom.
"Go take a bath," Frila instructed and Aselia unwillingly obeyed.
After taking a warm bath Aselia was feeling refreshed. Frila blow-dried her hair and then helped her get into the dress which accentuated every curve of her body. It fitted flawlessly and even the length was perfect for her.
"Wow, look at you Aselia, absolutely stunning." Frila complimented in excitement as she clapped her hands together.
"Yeah, I seem like someone lost their way to Disney," Aselia replied dryly, looking down at herself. It felt itchy to her, although it wasn’t itchy at all.
"No, you look perfect. Smile a bit." Frila then arranged her hair by slightly curling them and placing beads in them. Then she applied make-up to complete a perfect look. Heading to her cupboard she took out a pair of silver heels and handed them to Aselia. She sighed and put them on.
Now she was all done, Frila made her stand in front of the dressing table and arranged her hair one last time. Aselia couldn’t believe how different she looked. She had attended a few parties held at the headquarters for hunters. But she had never dressed so elegantly before, nor had anyone ever brought her such a magnificent dress. She touched her face to make sure it was her.
"Hmm, the only thing missing is jewellery but Señor said you don’t like wearing it. That’s why he didn’t send any. So, let’s go." Frila informed her while ushering her towards the door.
They arrived at the Dungeon hall, which was dimly lit today just like the day she had arrived.
"Thank you, Frila. You can leave the rest to me." An authoritative voice sounded from the side of the hall where Xiran’s chair remains fixed. Frila bowed and made her exit through the dungeon stairs, leaving Aselia standing there.
Aselia glanced in the voice’s direction and found him sitting in almost the same posture as he had the day she first came here and met him. His fist supported his tilted head as his elbow rested on the armrest. Their eyes met instantly and none of them wanted to look away.
He was clad in a white tuxedo and a white pair of Venetian loafers. His hair was neatly combed and laid elegantly on his right shoulder flowing down to his waist. No one could look this perfect, there was this angelic beauty about him, especially whenever he wore white. And Aselia was lost in his ethereal world.
His piercing grey eyes were making Aselia uncomfortable and she seemed to have been caught in a trance, his trance. Did she want to escape? Probably not.
They held each other’s gaze for a while when he finally spoke in a seductive voice with his hand outstretched: "Come here, Aselia..."
