Chapter 58: Drink

"Why do you always feel the need to test my patience so much." He wasn’t sure if she understood the effect she had on him.

"You don’t have to be patient with me. I don’t mind, just be like your old self. Rest you can drink from a glass if that’s what you want. But I won’t stop offering you mine. That’s the least I can do after everything you did for me. You think I don’t realize the way you took care of me." Her eyes held a softness for him he hadn’t seen before as she spoke those words.

"I didn’t do it so I could ask for your blood in return." A volcano of emotions erupted in his heart at her words. His heart felt like it would burst.

"I know you have never asked me for it after that incident. But I want to give it to you of my own accord. Don’t refuse me, Xiran. Let me do this for you." Her voice held seriousness as he looked at her in disbelief. This girl never ceased to amaze him.

"Alright, but this will only happen every once in a while. I am not going to make this a habit and not right now. You haven’t eaten anything, yet. Finish your drink so we can eat some of your favourite foods." He lovingly placed her golden locks back on her shoulder and she picked up her glass with a satisfied expression and took a sip.

"This is so tasty." Aselia chirped looking at her drink.

"Yes, he has a knack to make extremely delicious drinks," Xiran added.

Once they had finished their drinks Rumail brought them their food. It consisted of every kind of barbequed meat ranging from chicken to lamb to beef. There was so much variety, ribs, steaks, kebabs, tikka, beef cubes, tenderloin roast and so many more.

Aselia felt she had died and ascended to the heavens, seeing so much food in front of her made her dizzy with excitement. Xiran, on the other hand, was enjoying all her reactions to the dishes being brought in with a smug expression on his face.

"Dig in, Aselia." He told her seeing her mouth hanging open and on the verge of drooling. She nodded like an idiot before filling her plate up and munching away the delicious food.

"That’s another promise fulfilled. Now you can’t say I don’t keep my promises." Xiran said as he neatly placed the white napkin on his lap and took a knife and fork to neatly cut into his steak before placing a small bite in his mouth and chewing softly.

"Ummm..." Aselia on the other hand had her mouth full of beef kebabs and unlike Xiran she used her hands to eat. She simply nodded as she was too engrossed in eating. Xiran smiled inwardly and let her eat in peace to her heart’s content after that.

She was so full after eating all that mouth-watering food that it felt impossible for her to even move. So she fell on the cushions, exhausted from all the eating.

"Tired already? But you didn’t finish all of it. I thought you would eat all the meat in the world, the way you always used to glare at me whenever I offered you something other than meat." Xiran teased her.

"I am a human, not a Godzilla for God’s sake Xiran. I have already eaten three days’ worth of food." Aselia replied with a sigh, her arms wide open as she stared at the ceiling.

"Yes, but you certainly eat like one." Xiran bit his lower lip to refrain from laughing at her.

Aselia glared at him: "Were you counting how much I was eating? Is that how you treat a lady on a date? By comparing her to a freaking Godzilla."

"Of course not. I was merely watching to see if you needed more to eat." And with that, he couldn’t repress his laughter and burst out laughing. Aselia was furious so she picked up a cushion and threw it at him. He caught it and threw it back at her, it hit her straight in the face.

"You are so dead, Xiran." She shouted at him and threw two more cushions at him which he dodged, effortlessly.

"Stop using your super speed and get hit by at least one of them," Aselia complained throwing another cushion.

"Nops," he teased her.

Aselia picked up another cushion and instead of throwing it she went up to him and hit him with it in the face, throwing him off balance or rather one should say he fell on purpose taking her with him as she landed on top of him with an:

"Awww...."

He held onto her from her waist as she squirmed to get free.

"You are a moron, you know that." She complained when he didn’t let her go free.

"I do," he had a smug expression playing on his lips.

"Let go now, I just ate. Do you want me to vomit it all over you?" Xiran closed his eyes at her words, she really knew no bounds.

"Ok, ok. Don’t try anything like that." He quickly let her go and she laughed.

"Haha, Xiran is afraid of a little vomit. Who would have thought?" She chuckled while towering over him, forgetting that her cleavage was showing him more than she wanted to. For one she didn’t have much practice with such dresses, second, she had forgotten she was wearing one in her excitement to fight him.

When he looked unfazed by her and threw no counterattacks, she guessed something was wrong. And then she followed his gaze and realized what he had been staring at. Her cheeks instantly blushed and she quickly placed her hand on the top of her dress and straightened up.

"Pervert," she mumbled and turned around to step out of the hut, away from him.

"Aselia! wait," he quickly followed her. She paid no heed to his words and began to walk along the beach, bare feet.

He caught up to her instantly and spoke apologetically: "Sorry, it was unintentional. I didn’t mean to peek."

"But you did." She spoke furiously as her ears turned red from the embarrassment.

"I apologise, forgive me, pleaseeee." He pleaded with his hands clasped and puppy eyes.

"I will think about it." She threw her head in the air with a haughty expression. He took her hand in his and kissed it softly. Sending shivers all over her body, how a kiss on her hand had such an electrifying effect on her body.

She stopped to glance at him and he pulled her close to him, placing his hand in the hollow of her back. "You look so beautiful today it’s hard to not look at you, all of you." And with those words, he pressed his forehead with hers and closed his eyes to hide the tumultuous storms raging in them.

She could feel his burdens, needs and desires in that instant. As much as her brain ordered her against it she decided to hug him. Wrapping her arms around his slim waist she buried her face in his chest and whispered: "Thank you, for making this day so memorable for me. For flying me over here, for the delicious food, for this beautiful dress and for taking care of me."

He didn’t speak and just enveloped her in his arms, feeling her gratitude, amazed at how she had decided to hug him, understanding he needed it. They stood there for a while dealing with catastrophes both of them had cast on each other.

The wind picked up and he felt her body shiver. He quickly took off his coat and wrapped it around her. Aselia felt warm in his coat and it was infused with his fresh scent.

"You want to go back in the hut? It’s cold outside." Xiran inquired and she nodded.

As they entered she noticed that table had been removed from the hut and there were fresh pillows and blankets in its place. Xiran closed the open part of the hut with the same sheet which covered the rest of it. It became darker inside so Xiran brought one of the cylindrical lights from outside and placed it in the corner.

He then came and kneeled beside her. "Are we going to stay the night here?" Aselia inquired glancing at the pillows and blankets.

"Yes,"

"Won’t someone see us?" She was perplexed.

"No, as long as I am here. No one would come here. I own this area." He explained to her and she nodded.

He then placed his hand in his pants pocket and took out a small silver-coloured box.

"Aselia... can you come over here?" He pointed to the place in front of her. She gave him a curious look before scooting over in front of him.

"I know you said you don’t like jewellery but I had to get you something. Every girl deserves to wear jewellery. Please accept it." There was so much warmth in his words as he whispered those words to her and her heart took a deep dive. What had he brought her now?

He opened the silver box in his hand and took out a...
