Chapter 93: The Gift

Aselia’s POV

’What gift can be given to an immortal Vampire? He was so wealthy, he almost had everything.’ I thought to myself. I decided to ask Frila for help. "Frila, I want to give him a gift. Help me coz I have no clue."

"Hmm, let’s see. How about you give him a painting? Since you love to paint." She suggested pointing towards my paintings.

"No, I already gave him that portrait I made of him. I need something different." My mind was racing, trying to gather all the information about him, especially his interests. Then something clicked in my mind and I had an idea. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

"Frila do you know a jeweler who creates customized jewelry? And who can do it on a moment’s notice." I asked her excitedly.

"Yes, I know a few. But I have someone in mind who will get the job done by tomorrow." She replied with a smile.

"Perfect, can we check out some designs on your phone, and then you can order on my behalf."

"Sure, why not." She took out her phone and opened the website of the jeweler and we began to check the latest designs. I picked the one I liked and told her how I wanted it to be customized. She nodded in approval.

Then I downloaded my bank app on her phone, added my details, and transferred the money to her account. I then deleted the app from her phone and handed it back to her.

I was astonished to see the atrocious amount of money amassed in my account. He has been transferring me way more than what he had offered, but then I remembered the clause said: "based on your performance." I couldn’t help but shake my head.

The money was just sitting there, I didn’t need it but acted as I did. This was just a dummy account Yurian had opened for me so money could be transferred.

"Frila, please don’t tell him the cost. Can you keep this a secret between us?" I pleaded with puppy eyes, blinking them rapidly at her. She laughed at my action, placing her hand in front of her face.

"I won’t tell him but if he will specifically ask me I won’t be able to lie to him."

"I will make sure he won’t." We both shook hands at this deal. I was satisfied that I was finally doing something for him.

We then went over the details of what to arrange for this little party. I also asked her to invite Rivan and she agreed. She made some of the arrangements on the phone as she couldn’t leave me alone as per his orders.

Noon had morphed into the evening when finally the room to my door opened and he stepped in. Clad in navy blue chino pants and an off-white full-sleeve shirt. Which hugged his toned body in all the right places. His hair was tied up on his head in a man bun.

It was the first time I was seeing him since he had left me in this very room. He hadn’t allowed me to look at him since his return. Well, he looked fresh and healthy and a smile was spreading on his gorgeous face as his eyes met mine. I stood up.

’Thud...Thud,’ my heart announced his arrival, I would never get used to his divine beauty. Every time I looked at him, all the walls I constructed would fall without a warning.

"Frila, you can leave and attend to your other duties." He said keeping his gaze on me.

"Yes, Señor." He stepped aside so she could leave.

"I am glad to see you are back in the light." I offered him a smile. He crossed the distance between us and enwrapped me in his sturdy arms and spoke: "I had a great caretaker." I hugged him back and said:

"Seems like you are one lucky vampire." This made him chuckle.

"There is no doubt about that. Indeed I am lucky." He let me go and sat down on the bed, I alighted beside him. The bed squeaked under our weight.

"Here," he took out a chocolate from his pocket and offered it to me. It was square with maroon wrapping.

"Thank you, I love chocolates," I told him with a smile as I began to unwrap the nutty chocolate which was already melting because of it being in his pocket.

"I know," he smirked and lay down on the bed with his hands behind his head.

"How you know?" I offered him half of the chocolate with the wrapper because it had melted.

"All girls do." He took the chocolate from my hand, dipped his index finger delicately in it, and moving forward traced the finger on my cheek. I flinched instantly as the warm chocolate touched my skin.

"Hey!!! What are you doing?" I asked him with narrowed eyes, my forehead furrowed at his action.

"Eating the chocolate, what else." That devilish smile was back on his face as he drew closer to me while I moved back trying to escape his advances. The realization of what he was about to do, hit me.

"OMG, don’t tell me you are going to enact that scene from Paul Strioins’s movie." I gulped hard feeling anxious.

"What if I am? Isn’t he like your favorite actor?" He had propped himself on his elbow and was observing me with a keen interest.

"He is, too bad you are not him, though. No one can be more dreamy than him." I raised my eyes at him, trying to make him jealous.

"So, you would prefer if it was him sitting here instead of me? Will you let him lick that chocolate off your face?" He asked with a serious expression, his smile had faded.

"Maybe," I tilted my face to the right and smiled.

Before I could even blink, he had grabbed me and pinned me below him, my smile had turned to shock while he said with a menacing look: "Say that again."
