“That’s not my problem.” Li Qiye waved and smiled.

“You’re the reason for my crappy life.” Li Baye said: “No, it’s not even my life, just your shadow.”

“I admit that I’m at fault.” Li Qiye sighed.

“Hmph, it’s good that you are aware.” He said.

“I can erase everything and give you back your life.” Li Qiye said.

“Forget it.” He waved and said: “Don’t you know yourself? I am part of you so I know. Erasing doesn’t work when it comes to your dao heart.”

“True.” Li Qiye nodded.

“Even if you erase everything, can I still be myself? No, I can’t as long as you’re still alive.” He said angrily.

“Then maybe I should die.” Li Qiye smiled.

“You can trick others but not me. The villainous heaven can die but not you. Plus, it’s not as if I can survive.” He said.

“You can, right here at the primordial beginning.” Li Qiye said.

“What’s the point, just more suffering. The further you go, the more I suffer.” He shook his head.

“It’s more than just suffering.” Li Qiye sighed.

“Yes, always being someone’s shadow after the suffering.” He said.

“A prison.” Li Qiye lamented.

“An eternal prison since I cannot overcome the dao heart.” He said before becoming serious: “I suppose I don’t have much to hate, this is just how it is. Since I am a part of you, you suffered and are still suffering during the creation process.”

“No words could have described it.” Li Qiye said.

“Yet you still did it, a madman or a true masochist.” He said.

“I am neither.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“Then you did it for this world.” He said.

“Well, the world knows nothing about it and won't give anything back in return. Of course, you don’t need anything from it.” Li Qiye said.

“True.” Li Qiye nodded.

“The price of love? That’s the only explanation.” He sneered.

“Because I wanted to be a good person.” Li Qiye said.

“What was the alternative?” He asked.

“For this world to continue suffering.” Li Qiye said.

“You wouldn’t have lost anything.” He said.

“Right, I could have left but this world would be stuck in the cycles.” Li Qiye said.

“Living beings didn’t know about it, it wouldn’t have affected them.” He said.

“More than just destruction, they’re always treated as insects.” Li Qiye said.

“This has never changed, so you want to be the one to change it.” He said earnestly.

“I haven’t done much outside of returning this world to them.” Li Qiye said.

“Not easy at all.” He shook his head.

“Yes, but not hard for me right now.” Li Qiye said.

“Were you born with this ability? No, it is earned after polishing and suffering. You can’t say that the matter is easy.” He raised his voice.

“Yes, effort and bitterness made things simple.” Li Qiye said.

“I’m annoyed that you’re putting it so lightly after all the things we’ve been through, that you made me go through, it’s cruel.” He said.

“Right, and I apologize.” Li Qiye paused briefly before nodding.

“Apologize to yourself.” He said.

“I know.” Li Qiye said softly.

“It doesn’t appear that way.” He said: “You will leave this world all alone. You came naked into this world and will leave naked.”

“What can I bring with me?” Li Qiye smiled.

“Nothing, but you didn’t need this karma. You could have just left long ago but chose to suppress yourself, carving yourself again.” He said.

Li Qiye sighed and said: “Although people say that those at the top are emotionless, they merely leave emotions behind.”

“That’s why you’re leaving it behind.” He uttered coldly.

“Yes, so that this world will be more beautiful.” Li Qiye said.

“This should be left to those who ought to do them.” He said.

“Since I’ve endured so much suffering already, might as well finish it off. Otherwise, how many ages would it take for the living beings to accomplish this?” Li Qiye asked.

“Bastard.” He cursed.

“I’ve been hearing this too many times recently.” Li Qiye nodded in agreement.
