[Effect: Upgrades automatically with the Halo. This trait allows one to convert Origin Essence into Divine Essence. Gather three Origin Beast Essences to convert them into one Divine Essence that you can use on yourself.]

"This... this is a DLC for my extraction talent!" Caelus exclaimed in pleasant surprise.

His halo brought unexpected benefits. It exceeded his expectations.

His normal talent gave him tiny fractions of stats. Sometimes 0.14, sometimes 0.25, or even 0.08. But this trait allowed him to craft divine essence from normal origin beasts.

The divine beasts here had a combat score of 2. He gained 1 combat score from extracting them. That meant he took half their power. If he took three origin essences from beasts with a combat score of 2 at Bronze III, he would get 1 full combat score.

This was far better than the random drops from his Endless Extraction. The randomness was reduced. It guaranteed him a massive amount of power depending on the quality of the beasts he killed.

"This is great," Caelus said, full of joy.

The Halo was an amazing haul. It even gave him 100 combat score directly. He was only a Bronze I, but his combat score was already at Bronze III. It was incredible.

Soon, he felt the space around him crumbling.

The next moment, he was back in the area where he and Sylvia had started.

A light flickered next to him. Holy power shimmered in the air. A beautiful girl appeared. A divine halo floated behind her head. She had silky smooth silver hair and deep red eyes. She wore tight white clothing that highlighted her figure perfectly.

It was none other than Sylvia.

"Damn..." Caelus mumbled as he looked at her.

Sylvia looked more like a true god than he did.

"Caelus. You are safe."

Sylvia did not care about her new appearance at all. She rushed straight into his embrace. She hugged him tightly, much to his surprise.

"When I saw that dying in that space meant real death, I got worried for real," Sylvia whispered.

Caelus’s expression softened when he heard this. He hesitantly brought his hand up and gently patted her head.

Sylvia’s eyes widened for a second. Then, a sweet smile escaped her lips. She adjusted herself comfortably in his embrace.

"Do you think I would die to some gods?" Caelus asked. "Am I even worthy to become an Ender if I did?"

"I know you are strong. But those gods possessed power rivaling the Enders," Sylvia replied. "They eliminated the Ender girl from your ascension quest after all."

"Right," Caelus nodded.

Sylvia looked up from his embrace.

"Caelus, I need blood," Sylvia said as she licked her lips.

"You do not need to ask next time," Caelus said. He patted her head again. "Here."

"..."

Sylvia fell silent. She suddenly felt like Caelus was a different person. Did getting a halo grant him a kinder personality? He was acting very close to her, and he showed no hesitation at all.

The Caelus she met right after he lost his memories had demanded Origin Credits from her just to drink his blood. The change in him was massive.

"Are you going to drink or not?" Caelus asked.

He knew that confused look well. But Caelus had decided not to hesitate anymore.

He remembered how she acted when she acquired the Earth Bending trait. He really liked that trait. She caught onto that easily. More importantly, she was willing to give her new trait to him without a second thought.

In the Origin Domain, people always hesitated when it came to sharing power. But not Sylvia. She was always ready.

She had continuously proved her loyalty. Caelus felt that Sylvia needed to be cherished more. She gave everything to him, but he only gave half of his heart to her. Part of his hesitation came from the complicated mess of his past memories. Another part was because he never had someone care for him this deeply before.

Aside from his parents, this was a first for him.

"I liked it when you hesitated a bit, though. It made you look cute," Sylvia said with a playful smile. "But this is better too."

Sylvia leaned in and gently bit his neck. Her combat score began to increase steadily. She was reaching the Bronze III tier as well.

Her blood-extraction ability and his extraction worked in similar ways. She could not extract Origin Credits and other things from people like his Endless Extraction could. But she could absorb pure essence just like him.

In the domain, there was no better match for him aside from Sylvia as it was right now. She was his perfect partner and perhaps the only one he needed for himself.

As soon as she finished, Sylvia looked at him with her bright red eyes. She leaned closer.

"You." Caelus became embarrassed when he realized what she just did.

She kissed him on the cheek.

"I felt bad for not giving my prince the reward he deserved. You will have to settle for a kiss for now," Sylvia teased.

She slipped out of his embrace and blew him a flying kiss.

"..."

Caelus fell into a trance just looking at her. Sylvia had become exceptionally more beautiful with her new halo. Now, perhaps even the top models back on the Azure Origin Planet could not match her.

Her vampiric charm had fully evolved into a divine charm.

"When we go outside, make sure to wear a hoodie," Caelus said suddenly.

"Hm?" Sylvia looked at him in cute confusion.

’You are too beautiful for this world,’ Caelus thought to himself.

[Ding!]

[The domain is closing.]

"Hm, already?" Caelus titled his head.

"Let’s talk after going back to our mansion."

Sylvia readily nodded.

Caelus did want to check out how the progress of the defensive weapons was going on. But that will have to wait till tomorrow.

The very next instant, their figures flickered and vanished from the the endless expanse.
