Endless Extraction in a Game-Like World
Chapter 120: Title: Player Killer! Crimson Sovereign
"Reach the Crown Rank, huh?" Caelus was quite honestly stumped.
"Your parents are not dead, Caelus. Is that not a good thing?" Sylvia still clung to his arm. She looked at him with a mix of deep concern and genuine happiness.
"Hm. Yeah. But I do not remember my parents," Caelus said with a heavy sigh.
"That is fine. We will have time to reintroduce ourselves later," Sylvia said with a small smile. "What matters is that they are still alive, and they told you to reach the Crown Rank fast."
"I wonder what is beyond the Crown Rank. My ancestor never mentioned anything about it," Sylvia said with a look of pure yearning.
Everyone in this world, without a single exception, wanted to reach the Crown Rank and beyond. That was the sole purpose of a Player. Climbing the ranks and reaching a higher status.
"Well. For now, our top priority is reaching the Crown Rank. I am quite curious as to what they meant by ’Illusion’. It cannot be something normal."
"And according to City Lord Leon, he saw a divine light strike my parents. That means it could be the work of envoys from the gods. Perhaps they are in this world somewhere. Our best way to finding more clues is the Holy Church," Caelus deduced. "We need to find them."
Sylvia nodded softly.
"There are still a few hours before the domain opens again. Caelus, I want to awaken my Fighting Spirit as well. Can you help me?"
"I can try," Caelus nodded.
In the end, it depended entirely on the aura art given to them by Allstar.
For thirty minutes, Caelus helped Sylvia with her aura practice while he cultivated his own.
However, unexpectedly, while helping Sylvia, he found out something shocking.
"Your experience increased?" Caelus was baffled.
"Yeah. It increased a lot just now when your Aura of Origin washed over me," Sylvia replied. "My fatigue vanished completely too."
"Eh?"
"Try again," Caelus instructed.
A few hours later.
A dense, blood-red aura erupted from Sylvia. A humanoid figure donned in crimson armor appeared behind her back.
[Aura Rank: Tier 10 (0/100)]
Caelus put some distance between him and Sylvia with a look of pure awe.
"My Aura of Origin can work like that?"
Sylvia’s experience was increasing by 25 EXP per cycle. That was because he was continuously guiding her using his Aura of Origin, which he could now project outside his body and control perfectly.
It could help others reach his rank extremely fast.
The experience gain, of course, decreased as the other party’s rank got closer to his. By the time Sylvia hit Tier 9, she was only getting 15 EXP.
But luckily, she crossed over the threshold and finally managed to awaken her Fighting Spirit.
[Fighting Spirit: Crimson Sovereign (Upper SS-Rank)]
"Crimson Sovereign, huh? It contains a dense aura of death and holy power. It must be the spirit of the old god that the Ender of Death created. The True Vampire Progenitor of the old era."
Of course, a Fighting Spirit at the end of the day was just a construct of aura. It would never be able to talk. Its only purpose was to help someone achieve higher levels of raw power.
"What abilities did you obtain, Sylvia?"
"I obtained Crimson Collision, a Legendary Skill, and a Trait to merge with the Fighting Spirit called Sovereign Ascension."
"Interesting," Caelus exclaimed as he looked at the skill and trait details.
[Crimson Collision (Legendary, 2-Star)]
[Effect: Collide blood against each other using the endless blood of the Crimson Sovereign to create a massive explosion that can disintegrate living matter. Cannot affect inorganic matter.]
[Legendary Effect: Applies the sure-hit debuff ’Corruption Bleed’, which is amplified by 200%.]
[Sovereign Ascension (Trait)]
[Effect: Merge with the Crimson Sovereign to ascend your normal power and reach a higher status of strength.]
"Strange. Why did you get a Legendary skill instead of a Mythical?" Caelus tilted his head in pure curiosity.
"It is fine. I do not really mind. I have you after all," Sylvia let out a sweet smile. She leaned closer and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Thank you for helping me reach Tier 10 and awaken the Fighting Spirit."
Caelus smiled silently. Having a person love him like this was entirely new to him. He was still getting used to it. But it was not bad. He liked it quite a lot.
"Now, try merging with your Fighting Spirit," Caelus suggested.
"Alright," Sylvia nodded.
She unleashed her Fighting Spirit once more. Soon, she began the merging process.
A resonance ring formed between her and the crimson figure. It acted like a soundwave, adjusting and tuning the frequency of Sylvia and the Fighting Spirit until they perfectly aligned.
Sylvia’s sclera turned pitch black. Her bright red eyes began glowing like neon rings. A dark crown materialized above her head, and a massive pair of vampiric wings sprouted from her back.
She flapped the wings once and immediately shot into the air. Terrifying wind waves crashed down onto the floor, but the ground was sturdy enough not to crumble.
"How do I look, Caelus?" Sylvia asked from above.
"Ten out of ten," Caelus gave her a thumbs up.
"Speaking of which, I also have wings. I have never used them before," Caelus said.
He unleashed his own Fighting Spirit. A pair of pure white holy wings, adorned with floating halos, erupted from his back. He rose into the air to meet her.
"Your wings are beautiful," Sylvia commented.
Caelus simply smiled.
Sylvia looked like the true embodiment of darkness with her crimson vampiric aura. He looked like the embodiment of light with his holy aura.
They were two sides of the exact same coin.
Soon, the Dungeon Master Simulator updated with today’s results.

A brilliant golden light shone from the system screen.
Ding!
[You have obtained the following:]
[1. +15 Reputation Points]
[2. Title: Player Killer (Epic)]
[3. +25,000 Profession EXP]
[Allocating Profession EXP.]
[Dungeon Master Rank: Tier 1 (Iron III) -> Tier 2 (Bronze I)]
[You can now add dungeons to one additional planet.]
[Starting Now, you can view Dungeon Reports and see videos and statistics of it.]
[Reputation points: 220 -> 235]
[Title: Player Killer (Epic)]
[Effect: When fighting a player, you deal 20% more damage. When targeting a player, you can hide your killing intent to a certain degree.]
"Player Killer?" Caelus’s lips twitched.
It was a very good thing he had the Ender passive that freely allowed him to manipulate and hide his system window. If anyone with an Appraisal skill saw this title, they would definitely brand him as a Heretic.
"Still, looks like the people of the Tarkov planet have started taking precautions against my dungeons. I only got 2,000 Mana from the dungeons. They seem to have jammed the mana extraction powers of the dungeon."
Caelus then glanced at Sylvia, who was looking at her own evaluation. They both got the exact same assessment, but Sylvia only received reputation points as a reward.
"We should put a new dungeon in another world now."
This time, they chose a planet called [World #083849A01], also known as Planet Lilia.
Ding!
[World: Lilia Planet]
[Race: Humans]
[Would you like to place down dungeons here?]
[Yes] / [No]
Caelus selected Yes.
Ding!
[You have 235 reputation points.]
[You are Bronze I.]
[If your reputation points cross the Silver Rank threshold, the discount will be 75%.]
[1. 50 reputation points before Iron III (Iron Rank)]
[2. 100 reputation points before Bronze III (Bronze Rank)]
[3. 150 reputation points before Silver III (Silver Rank)...]
[You can access the Mythical Shop and receive a 75% discount on all items.]
"Right, now we can put down Bronze grade mob spawners and traps."
Ding!
[You bought: Nine-Eyed Void Weaver Spider Mob Spawner (Mythical) for 250 Origin Credits.]
[You bought: Celestial Thunderstrike Wyrm Mob Spawner (Mythical) for 475 Origin Credits.]
[You bought: Shadow-Mane Eclipse Lion Mob Spawner (Mythical) for 400 Origin Credits.]
[You bought: Armored Earth-Rending Behemoth Mob Spawner (Mythical) for 450 Origin Credits.]
[You bought: Gravitational Collapse Zone Trap (Mythical) for 475 Origin Credits.]
He went through the list and selected the most favorable items. At the Bronze rank, the Origin Credit costs had doubled. But thanks to the 75% discount, the credits needed for these Mythical mob spawners were even less than what he needed for Iron ones.
The Gravitational Collapse Zone Trap was incredibly good. He liked it very much, and the fact that he got 115 eliminations today meant the setup was still going very strong. Maybe after seeing the dungeon report tomorrow, he would decide if he wanted to replace it or not.
He kept the aesthetic and layout exactly the same.
Soon, once everything was finalized, the domain opened.
[Ding!]
[The Domain is now open.]
"After we go in, let’s talk with that fatty. He must have an Awakening Stone with him," Caelus said. He turned to Sylvia, who nodded at him in agreement.
