The eerie sound of a blaring trumpet rang out from the void as Caelus’s body began heavily glitching.

His entire existence was undergoing a complete rewrite. His clothing burned away as the cells of his body were overwritten. His facial structure sharpened, his eyes shifted, and his heart, veins, and muscle fibers all mutated and reformed anew.

From Caelus’s spine, sharp geometric wings erupted. It was tiered like an inverted staircase. Narrow at the root, each rigid, angular layer expanded outward as it climbed, stacking upward to form a massive wingspan.

As soon as those wings appeared, a golden-black ring etched with ancient inscriptions materialized and floated directly over them.

The sound of the eerie trumpet rang out once more as the golden-black ring fully manifested.

Caelus’s body twitched violently as his muscles inflated like a balloon. The halo blinked above his head as the ring over his wing rapidly surged with blinding power. Soon, his physique settled back down into his lean, refined shape.

His halo and ring combined had pushed him into a permanent rank boost.

Caelus’s lips twitched when he saw this. The disparity between his talent’s flat stat buffs and his new massive Combat Score was so huge that the old numbers did not even give him a noticeable change anymore.

Just as quickly, a new notification rang out.

Caelus’s body forcefully broke through the ceiling of the trial pyramid. He shot out into the open sky of the Ancient Domain.

However, before he could crash into the ground, he froze mid-air using telekensis.

"Just what...?"

He realized the entire area around him had been transformed. A thick, dark miasma corroded the yellow sands. All around the desert floor lay the mangled corpses of the players who had entered the domain alongside him.

The area was swarming with Null Players. There were only three normal people left alive down there.

The burly guy from the Sunflower Academy, Aleksy. Mia. And Sylvia.

Sylvia was currently sealed inside a massive, pulsing blood-cocoon.

Mia was in an extremely bad state. She was bleeding profusely as a Null Player unleashed relentless waves of attacks on her. The only thing keeping her alive was her flickering shield.

Off to the side, Aleksy was getting absolutely trashed by a Null leader hovering in the air. Black lightning crackled around the leader’s body. The Null leader looked perfectly fine, while Aleksy’s pink dress was shredded and his body riddled with deep wounds.

"You bastard! I will not let you get away! You will pay for killing the others!" Aleksy shouted, his voice hoarse and bloody. "You betrayer of humanity! This is being broadcasted to the entirety of the Solaris Kingdom through the Origin Network! Your face is etched onto screens everywhere! Even if I die here, the Sunflower Guild and the Royal Family will never let you go!"

"What a joke. The Sunflower Guild? The Royal Family?" The Null leader, a man with long white hair and a cold sneer, laughed. "I have not finished introducing myself, have I?"

"I am Henry. One of the direct disciples of the Null Pillars." He arrogantly flicked his white hair back as he casually swatted away Aleksy’s desperate, powerful attack.

[Stream Chat: The Null Players... they have gotten more daring, haven’t they? How can they reveal themselves to the public like this?]

[Stream Chat: What is a Pillar?]

[Stream Chat: Is that what you are worried about? Where are the Royal Guards and the Player Association? They are the protectors of the Solaris Kingdom! Are they just going to let these monsters roam free?]

The chat on the Origin Network was going wild. There were over millions of viewers tuned into Aleksy’s stream.

Everyone in the Solaris Kingdom was already in an uproar. A massive crowd had gathered outside the Ancient Domain’s physical gate in the real world.

But the absolute rule of an Ancient Domain was absolute. You could not enter it when there were already people inside. Once a trial was initiated, no one could enter or leave until the parties inside either died or cleared the domain.

"The Null Players. We are seen as mere evil to this world. The Holy Church acts like they are the righteous ones while they deem us demons," Henry said loudly, playing to the camera.

"But we Null Players... we work for the Hollow King," Henry declared. "We know the absolute truth about the gods. The gods you worship, they are the true evil! They act only on selfish benefits, disregarding all morals for the sake of power."

"You people blindly follow them. And it is our job to eliminate you all. To slaughter every being that blindly follows the gods!"

As he screamed, violently black lightning crackled through his body. He rose higher into the air.

The corpses of the dead players below began to disintegrate. Their souls turned into streams of dark light and rushed straight into Henry’s body.

"Y-You... What are you doing?" Aleksy asked in pure disbelief.

"What else? Ascending," Henry laughed. His laughter echoed loudly as the other Null Players stopped attacking and looked up at the sky in worship.

Mia seized this split-second chance to launch an attack at the Null Player pinning her down. But the man easily deflected her blade and kicked her. She crashed into the sand like a broken kite.

"Hey, pretty miss. Do not be so troublesome. You are trying your best, but you cannot win," the spiky-haired Null Player mocked. He wore an evil, twisted grin.

"As I said before, you should just submit and become my woman. You are incredibly beautiful," the man licked his lips. His face twisted into a disgusting expression.

Mia’s face turned ice-cold. She glared at the man who had beaten her into a state where she could not even stand properly. She was only a few HP short of dying.

"That miss in the blood cocoon over there isn’t bad either. But it is a pity that Young Master Henry has taken a liking to her. I cannot lay my hands on her," the spiky-haired man sighed in disappointment.

"Now just wait quietly as the Young Master transforms."

As soon as he spoke, a massive explosion rang out in the air. Henry began to grow monstrous.

Mia and Aleksy’s expressions turned deathly pale as they felt his aura climbing exponentially.

Mia’s head spun wildly seeing the man in the air. Her heart beat in sheer despair. She had tried contacting her master, but there was a powerful jamming signal in the domain that made it impossible to call out for help.

At this point, she did not know what would happen. Every other Silver Rank had already died to this man.

[Stream Chat: He transformed? Is he no longer human?]

[Stream Chat: Are those people going to die? That girl on the ground is Fortis City’s City Lord’s daughter, right?]

[Stream Chat: I think so...]

"Is there really no other way?" Aleksy muttered darkly, gripping his hands till it bleed.

High above, a jagged black horn tore through Henry’s skull. One entire side of his face rotted away, turning into a hollow, skeletal mask.

"Hahaha! It worked! I managed to achieve Half-Hollowification!" Henry screamed loudly as the Ancient Domain began violently shaking.

"I have ascended!"

"One million souls of Bronze players, combined with the Medal of Hollowification! I finally managed to become a true Hollow!"

"One million souls...?" Aleksy trembled, dropping his weapon.

"That is right!" Henry roared. "This is our divinity! You mongrels who follow the gods can only perish!"

Everyone, Aleksy, Mia, and the millions of people watching the stream all fell dead silent.

Outside the Ancient Domain, City Lord Leon, Chairman Welt of the Player Association, and the Royal Guards all stood before the swirling portal with grim, helpless expressions.

Aleksy was a well-known Silver I expert, but even he could not defeat Henry before the transformation. Who was going to stop him now? Everyone else at Silver was already dead!

Amidst the massive crowd outside, there was a group of people wearing priestly robes. Among them was a young girl donned in a pristine Sister outfit. She had deep blue eyes and blonde hair. She looked at the swirling portal with deep distress.

"Oh God of Boundless Light... Please show us a way," she cupped her hands and prayed silently.

Back inside the domain, Henry’s arrogant voice echoed throughout the desert.

"This is just the beginning for the Solaris Kingdom! After this, our Null Organization will be unstoppable! We will conquer the Solaris Kingdom!"

However, just then.

Everything froze.

BWOMMMMMMMM!

The eerie, apocalyptic sound of a blaring trumpet drilled into everyone’s ears. The entire Ancient Domain began to visibly shake under an immense weight. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

High in the sky, exactly parallel to Henry’s altitude, the clouds parted.

A figure bathed in golden-black light appeared. A divine halo burned brightly above his head. A massive pair of geometric fractal wings spread wide behind him, framed by a rotating, ancient golden-black ring.

Then, a tyrannical, overwhelmingly destructive aura erupted from the figure. It completely matched and suppressed Henry’s newfound power.

Henry’s black aura and the figure’s golden-black aura clashed violently, completely dominating the world and dyeing the sky in a fusion of chaotic colors.

Mia’s eyes widened in pure disbelief. Aleksey, who was an inch away from death, stopped breathing as he stared at the blinding light descending from the sky.

"I think you should be more concerned about leaving here alive than conquering the Solaris Kingdom."

The figure’s voice echoed throughout the battlefield, cold and absolute. The sheer force of his words made the Ancient Domain tremble.

At the same exact time, across the live stream, the system tag lit up above the divine figure’s head for millions to see.
