Caelus did not waste another second. He hurled Aleksy and Mia out of the Ancient Domain’s barrier, scooped Sylvia into his arms, and shot into the sky.

To the massive crowd gathered outside, he looked like a golden comet streaking across the horizon.

"Player 555," Theodore, the High Constable of the Royal Guards, muttered with wide eyes. "We need to get him on our side."

Meanwhile, inside the headquarters of the Black Lightning Guild.

"Why haven’t we made any progress in finding Player 555, Marco?" Guild Master Victor demanded. "Every man and his dog is talking about him on the Origin Network."

"I am trying, Guild Master," Marco said helplessly. "But without knowing his real identity, there is no way for us to contact him. Our only link is Lena, but she is busy training."

"Hm," Victor nodded dismissively. "You may go."

Marco bowed and left the room.

A moment later, Lena crawled out from beneath Victor’s large oak desk.

"Is he gone?" Lena asked, wiping her mouth and heaving a sigh of relief.

"He’s gone, my Lena," Victor laughed softly, pulling her up. "Why don’t we make our relationship public? You do not need to be scared of anything. I will take care of you."

"Not yet," Lena hesitated.

’No one wants to be in a public relationship with you,’ Lena thought darkly.

She only stayed with Victor, a man two years older than her for the massive benefits. He had funneled royal family treasures directly to her, pushing her straight to the Bronze II rank. To her, it was worth acting as his obedient girlfriend in the shadows. Her heart still belonged to Kevin.

Lena stepped out of the office and silently leaned against the hallway wall. She pulled out her phone and opened her direct messages with Caelus.

The screen still stubbornly displayed: Unseen.

"Caelus... When will you finally read my messages?" Lena whispered, a crazed, bitter smile twisting her face.

Her father was finally safe from his embezzlement charges, but her hatred for Caelus burned hotter than ever. She checked his profile obsessively. She wanted to strangle him to death with her own hands.

"You will always be my dog," Lena sneered with delusional arrogance. "And disloyal dogs need to be taught a harsh lesson."

Fortis City, Dragon Luxury Estate.

THUD!

Caelus touched down lightly in his backyard, setting Sylvia on her feet.

"Well, that was certainly interesting," Caelus sighed.

"It is good that we are safe." Sylvia placed a hand on his chest and gently stroked his cheek. "But it seems you awakened a terrifyingly powerful ability to let you jump levels like that."

"Yes," Caelus nodded. "It is a really powerful one. It temporarily doubles my major stats, Chaos Axiom Energy, HP, and Mind Power. That is how I was able to drag all of you from the ground all the way into the sky."

He had burned a massive amount of Mind Power expanding his telekinesis radius, but it was just a drop in the bucket with his new reserves.

"By the way, I am sure you also awakened. What did you get?" Caelus asked.

"I got a Vampire Mark that gives a flat +50 Combat Score," Sylvia smiled. "I also unlocked the Vampire Mind and Vampire Wing aspects."

Caelus nodded. The Vampire Mind and Wings had similar effects to his own chaotic traits, just slightly weaker.

"On the bright side, you managed to awaken Telekinesis and Mind Power too, right?"

"Yes," Sylvia nodded happily.

Caelus didn’t find it bizarre. She possessed an SS-Rank Race just like him. It was only a matter of time before she unlocked psychic abilities.

Ding!

[Sylvia Reign Combat Score: 1.04 (Silver I)]

He had given her enough Ascension Tokens to jump straight to Bronze II, placing her firmly in the Silver Rank CS alongside him.

"How many bosses did you have to fight in the domain?" Caelus asked.

"Just two. Then a massive stone door opened up for me," Sylvia replied.

Caelus nodded in understanding.

"Can we go inside? I am so tired. I just want to sit down," Caelus groaned, limping slightly from the physical backlash of his transformation.

Sylvia stepped closer, softly running her fingers through his hair.

"What am I, a child?" Caelus asked speechlessly.

"You are my big child," Sylvia giggled.

She embraced him, her sweet lavender scent and warm body pressing flush against him. She tilted her head up and kissed his cheek. But she didn’t stop. Moving with a lingering heat, she kissed his jaw, trailing down to his neck as if softly marking her territory.

"There. Now no other woman can take you away from me," Sylvia whispered. A heavy, intoxicated hunger pooled in her bright red eyes. "Caelus... I am hungry."

"Let’s go inside first," Caelus smiled softly.

He swept Sylvia up into his arms and carried her into the house. He dropped down onto the living room sofa, keeping her in his lap.

Sylvia immediately leaned into his neck and bit down.

The soft, rhythmic sounds of her drinking his blood filled the quiet room. Caelus held her firmly by the waist, letting her take whatever she needed. Once she was finished, she pulled back, her eyes hazy and completely drunk on his dense blood.

"I am full," she breathed.

She leaned in and pressed her lips warmly against his, tasting faintly of his own blood. Caelus was stunned for a second, but he didn’t pull away. He closed his eyes and returned the kiss deeply.

When she finally pulled back, a heavy blush painted her cheeks.

"You are so greedy," Sylvia teased, trailing a finger over her own lips.

"You were the one who started it," Caelus said, his face heating up.

"It is not a bad thing," Sylvia chuckled playfully, burying her face in his chest. "I like it when my man is greedy for me. It means that you love me."

She then gently bit his earlobe, causing Caelus to flinch.

"There is a new series I want to watch. Do you want to watch it with me?" Sylvia asked, blinking up at him. "We can cuddle under the blankets."

"Sure," Caelus agreed immediately.

After quick, separate showers, they settled into Caelus’s bedroom. Sylvia snuggled deep into his embrace under the heavy blankets. In the freezing winter of Fortis City, there was nothing better than this.

A few hours later, the sky had completely darkened.

Caelus woke up groggily. Sylvia was fast asleep beside him, and the TV series had automatically paused due to inactivity.

"Looks like the backlash of the Chaos Dragon Body is heavy," Caelus muttered, rubbing his temples.

After his dragonification wore off, he had entered a severe weakened state. It made his Combat Score temporarily dip and made it hard to control his aura. Thankfully, he had gotten back to Fortis City before the absolute exhaustion kicked in.

He checked the system clock.

’One hour until the Origin Domain opens again.’

"I should enter the Arena and hit Rank 1 today," Caelus smiled.

He hadn’t entered the PvP Arena in a while. It was time to harvest some rewards.

His vision blurred as his avatar materialized inside the Arena lobby. Without hesitation, he hit the matchmaking button.

Ding!

[Opponent Found.]

"I won’t go easy on you, kid!" a shadowy figure roared, lunging forward with a dagger.

SWISH!

Before the man could even take a second step, the Origin Light Sword tore through the air and cleanly sliced his throat. The opponent collapsed, dead in a single strike.

Then, he used extraction.

Ding!

[Extraction Successful.]

[You have obtained 1,000 Origin Credits.]

Ding!

[Assessing your performance...]

[You have defeated your opponent in one hit.]

[Your Matchmaking Rate has massively increased.]

"Interesting. There are almost six thousand Bronze players across the world already."

"That is a huge number," Caelus smirked, highly amused.

This specific Arena had not merged with the main planetary server yet; it was strictly for the new server phase. Even if it did merge, there wouldn’t be many Bronze players in the general pool, as the veterans from previous years were already Silver or higher.
