Endless Extraction in a Game-Like World
Chapter 148: The Mythical 3-Star Healing Kiss! Hollow Sun Authority + Abyssal Tether Domain
After Sylvia’s little jealousy episode, Caelus pulled her into a warm embrace and they headed straight home. By the time they walked through the front door, her mood had improved significantly.
However, the moment they reached the living room, Caelus was violently thrown onto the sofa. Sylvia wore a delightfully creepy smile as she descended upon him, happily draining his blood.
Once her immediate thirst was quenched, she magically produced a glass vial from her inventory. She pressed it against his neck. One by one, she began filling the vials to the brim.
"I bought popsicle sticks specifically for this," Sylvia hummed, her red eyes sparkling with pure happiness. "I knew I could do this one day."
She gathered the thirty glowing vials and skipped off to the kitchen like a child on Christmas morning.
Left behind on the sofa, Caelus looked like a completely shriveled corpse.
A moment later, Sylvia popped back into the living room. Seeing his pale state, she giggled softly. She leaned down and gave him a deep, lingering kiss.
"Thank you for the blood, Hubby," Sylvia whispered with a sweet smile, peppering soft kisses all over his face.
Instantly, Caelus felt a massive surge of vitality.
"Huh? My HP is rapidly regenerating?" Caelus blinked in bafflement. Since when did kisses work better than expensive health potions?
Maybe, when others said affection could heal, it meant this?
"It is a new Class Skill I got," Sylvia smiled proudly. "I rarely get a class skill, but this time I hit the jackpot."
"It is called Bond-Share. It is a Mythical three-star trait. I can share my HP, MP, and even talents with my Blood-Bond. I can do it remotely, but through direct physical contact like holding hands or kissing, the healing effect is multiplied by two. If I spend one HP, you instantly get two."
She continued to shower him with sweet kisses, rapidly filling his health bar.
Even after the bloody, chaotic battle outside, Sylvia did not smell of smoke or ash. She smelled entirely of warm vanilla. Her body was incredibly soft and squishy. Despite her well-endowed physique, she always felt so delicate in his arms, almost like a soft pillow he was afraid of accidentally crushing.
But the best part was the reality of her strength. She had already ascended to the Gold rank combat score during the city siege thanks to her being in the same party as him and having the rookie god which in the end, made her receive the angel’s blessing of the 40 combat score as well.
Now, she was just as physically terrifying as he was right now. That meant he could hug her as tightly as he wanted, and she would not feel a thing other than his comfortable, loving embrace.
"Why are you hugging me so tightly?" Sylvia asked, happily wrapping her arms around his neck while resting her face on his own face. "Has your love for me leveled up again?"
"It cannot level up anymore. The system capped it," Caelus joked softly, pulling her closer. "You are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me."
He was not exaggerating. A girl as fiercely dedicated and blindly loyal as Sylvia? Millions of men would gladly go bankrupt or fight a Raid Boss just for a chance to date her.
Having spent so much time by her side, Caelus realized something incredibly important. He needed someone who unapologetically showered him with affection, and he needed a safe outlet to return those feelings. When both of those things aligned, he was genuinely happy.
Their relationship was still blooming, but Caelus was quite honestly addicted. He could not imagine a single day without Sylvia in his life anymore.
"I told you this before, Caelus. You might actually be greedier than me," a bright smile blossomed on Sylvia’s face. "But that is perfectly okay. I will never leave your side anyway."
Soon, the massive health deficit from his blood loss was entirely restored. Sylvia happily skipped back to the kitchen to freeze her golden blood popsicles.
Since he had some quiet downtime, Caelus decided to test out his newly assimilated Merge talent.
He opened his bloated status window. Several glowing combinations naturally appeared before him. This was the handy work of his SSS-Rank Endless Extraction passively guiding the process. It automatically showed him what was viable and what would fail.
For his first experiment, he selected three overlapping elements.
Ding!
[Merging: Hollow Flames (Upper B-Rank) + First Generation Spark Ignition (C-Rank) + Solar Manipulation (D-Rank)]
[You have created the Talent: Hollow Sun Authority (Lower A-Rank)]
[Hollow Sun Authority (Lower A-Rank): Grants absolute control over highly corrosive, volatile black and purple solar energy. Allows the manipulation of immense heat and the production of devastating explosive sparks directly from the user’s limbs.]
His old Solar Beam skill vanished. It was instantly replaced by a far more terrifying skill.
[Hollow Sun Manifestation (Epic, 2-Star): Summon a massive, apocalyptic Hollow Sun that rains down pure destruction. Can be charged up to 10 times. Deals a flat +10 Damage multiplier upon reaching maximum charge.]
"That is definitely an upgrade," Caelus nodded in satisfaction.
Next, he wanted to clean up his crowd control abilities.
Ding!
[Merging: Spirit Tether (Lower B-Rank) + Darkness Chain (Middle B-Rank) + Shadow Hand (D-Rank)]
[You have obtained the Talent: Abyssal Tether Domain (Upper B-Rank)]
[Abyssal Tether Domain (Upper B-Rank): Summons a massive network of shadowy hands to strike and crush enemies. Grabbed targets are instantly bound by Darkness Chains that restrict their magical powers. Multiple targets can be tethered together. 80% of damage dealt to one target spreads equally across all others.]
"I already have Origin Lock for chaining damage," Caelus sighed slightly.
But it was still a massive win. It saved a lot of visual space in his status window. Plus, he could still use the individual powers of the giant hands and chains without activating the full domain. It would be the perfect non-lethal way to bind a group of annoying players without having to vaporize them.
After that, Caelus rubbed his chin in deep thought.
"What will I get if I merge all my conflicting elemental domains?"
The system prompt had explicitly mentioned that merging could trigger a completely unique mutation, even if the user did not possess a dedicated affinity for it.
Caelus really wanted to push his luck. He swiftly selected his most powerful elemental traits and threw his useless eye ability into the mix just to see what would happen.
Ding!
[Merging: Frost Monarch (Lower A-Rank) + Lightning Domain (Lower B-Rank) + Fire Manipulation (D-Rank) + Thermal Vision (E-Rank)]
The instant the notification rang out, something deep within his core began to shift violently.
The very fabric of the world began to subtly fluctuate around him. The temperature in the living room rapidly spiked and plummeted at the exact same time, creating a bizarre pressure vacuum.
A brand new system notification flashed in glowing golden text.
