Chapter 184: The King is Slain and the Corrupt Follow! Extraction, First wave of rewards, a connection to the central plains

"Such arrogance!" Solaris rose from his seat.

"Don’t think just because you have a Gold III combat score that you can win. Player 555."

"My combat score is on the higher side." He sneered. "In the realm of Gold III. I have but a few competition and you aren’t one of THEM!"

As he spoke, several magical runes flared up around Solaris.

"Mega-Jirasad." He spoke as black lightning and wind flashed across the royal trial court.

Everyone stared in disbelief. The silvers and bronze in the room were directly suppressed by the might of the Gold III warrior.

This was a being that could flatten mountains!

Caelus however, didn’t even show a change in expression.

"Ruyi." He called out.

A weapon enlarged into his hand, sending a terrifying shockwave down.

"Quake." With his left hand, he drew back and thrust forward, fingers hooking into the empty air as if gripping a pane of glass.

The following second, the space itself shattered. Cracks spiderwebbed outward in every direction, splitting the air like a broken mirror, and from those fractures a monstrous tremor erupted.

Boom!

The black lightning slammed into the quaking space and held there for a moment. The wind howled, the runes screamed, and for an instant the two forces ground against each other. Solaris’s attack was no joke. It was the full might of a Gold III on the higher side.

But it wasn’t enough.

The lightning lost all cohesion. The very space it traveled through was buckling and quaking, and the bolt dispersed into nothing under the relentless vibration.

Solaris’s eyes widened. His strongest attack had been ground to dust like it was nothing.

The instant it dispersed. Caelus activated projection frame. He was right next to Solaris the Fourth.

"I know your combat score well. Solaris The Fourth." Caelus spoke as he stuck his pole which had turned extremely thin directly onto his chest. "However...."

"It isn’t enough to stop me."

"Get longer. Ruyi." Caelus spoke coldly.

Boom!

The pole that was in Solaris’s chest enlarged and pierced right beyond his chest.

With an upward motion, the pole went up. Crashing Solaris’s organs, bones and eventually coming out of his head which split in half.

With a look of terror, Solaris fell to the ground, with his body parts clattering into the ground.

The royal prince and princesses all looked in terror.

Their father. He was gone!

The following moment, they saw Caelus turned to look at them.

A red wave of invisible energy travelled through the air via telekinesis, landing on the remaining royals.

"Kill yourself."

The following instant, every royal took their own life.

"W-What." High Constable couldn’t take it anymore, he collapsed to the floor in pressure.

The anchor of the kingdom has been eliminated and purged out of this world.

How can he stay still?

The Player that was undergoing the trial. Eren Jaguar looked at Caelus in awe and shock.

His previous look of depression completely vanished. What remained was reverence for this man.

"There." Caelus’s voice boomed.

"The royals are dead." Caelus let out a smile. "Starting now. There will no longer be any corruption in this kingdom."

"What do you think. Llyod, Marco, Lena?" Caelus asked with a smile.

They all shivered in fright.

Just then, Victor tried to speak up.

However, before he could, his knees buckled and his head hit the ground flat.

Crkk!

The following moment, like an egg cracking, he fell to the ground.

Victor couldn’t believe it. This was the brat that he barely paid any attention to. Now he had overthrown the royal’s rule that had last for centuries. A brat that he ignored as a mere bronze few weeks ago now stood before him as a Gold.

"Marco. Don’t think I have forgotten our past enmity." Caelus smiled as he strode towards the Ashborns.

Marco wore a completely terrified expression.

Caelus chuckled seeing this.

It was quite funny. This was the same man, that wore an arrogant and indifferent expression as he almost eliminated him in one blow a few weeks back. Now the same man sat there with a terrified expression.

Power, it can change everything. Change the course of the world and change the course of life.

Caelus stood in front of Marco who was on his knees with that realization.

"I won’t let you die easily." Caelus spoke. "You will torment yourself to death yourself. For the injustice for "him" and what you have done to me."

He used soul control. Immediately, Marco’s body begin moving on its own, clawing at himself, breaking his bones and scratching his face, bleeding profusely as he cried out in pain.

His consciousness was intact, but Caelus had used this power in such a precise way where only the body followed the instruction with the consciousness locked behind to witness it all and feel the pain.

This was the apostle’s power at full display.

"C-Caelus." Llyod Ashborn with tears flowing down his face.

He couldn’t believe that things have reached such conclusions.

A bleak future for him and his family.

"Please... I beg you." He knelt on the floor, pleading with his two hands joined together.

Caelus looked at the man.

"Hm? I thought the black lightning guild would be here to save you. Where are they?"

"Oh right. The leader is over there on the floor." Caelus smiled which slowly turned into indifference.

He didn’t even bother with words this time. With a single thought, Llyod’s joined hands locked together, his body went rigid, and then he was driven down to begin the same torment as Marco. Father and son, side by side, tearing at themselves while their minds stayed awake for every second of it.

Following that, he turned to Lena who stood there looking at Caelus with uncertainty.

"Caelus..." Lena softly called out. "Why have you been ignoring my message...?"

"I-I used to message you daily. You don’t reply..." Lena said while she trembled.

"Do you not like me anymore?" Lena asked. "Do you not want me?"

"Do you know how many sleepless night i’ve been through... thinking about you?"

"I think about you the most when i’m alone and lonely."

"You made me this way. Caelus..." Lena spoke with a flustered look as she looked at Caelus with wide eyes.

"That’s why I want you gone." Lena said as she pounced on Caelus with killing intent.

However, Caelus looked at her with indifference as he swept his hand forward.

Boom!

Lena’s expression twisted into pain as she burst out crying, she shot back and crashed into the walls, bleeding profusely.

"Why did you do that. It hurts!" Lena said while crying. "How can you hurt me?"

Caelus looked at Lena strangely hearing this.

"Have you gone insane?" Caelus couldn’t help but ask.

The woman who had just sent killing intent his way, the same woman who had sent hitmen after him not long ago, was now crying like a wronged child as if she hadn’t lunged at him to end his life a second ago.

However, Lena didn’t stop crying, she genuinely seemed hurt and wronged here.

Just then, a golden light abruptly covered Lena.

"No..." Lena seeing this wore a stunned expression which immediately turned ugly. "Don’t take me away to that man... Caelus. Save me."

"I don’t want to be just an object used by other men anymore."

"I want someone to love me and take me to a safe place."

Caelus seeing this frowned. Just as he rushed in, the golden light shot into the sky, breaking through the roof of the trial court, taking Lena with her.

"Holy Church?" Caelus frowned as he eyed the shooting light.

He didn’t chase after it. He wouldn’t be able to do so. The golden light was an escape stone, they were commonly dropped rewards in dungeons and gates or even the domain. Except that he never encountered one for himself yet.

"The holy church. Always a thorn to my path." Caelus’s eyes were calculative.

But at the same time, he felt something strange about Lena.

Something was bubbling inside her and she didn’t seem to be in her right mind either.

"What is the holy church doing to Lena?"

He knew Lena was a hypocritical woman since the beginning. The hitmen, the way she treated the previous Caelus, all of it earned her what was coming. That part he had no doubt about.

But this was different. The way she acted out, the way she had no grip on reality, the way she pleaded not to be taken back to "that man," that wasn’t her. That was something done to her. Something the Holy Church had put inside her.

He kept those thoughts away. The Church had just taken a piece off the board right in front of him, and they had done something to it that he didn’t understand yet.

Shaking those thoughts away. He turned to the camera.

By now, everyone had witnessed the massacre and the entire Solaris kingdom was completely under silence and disbelief.

A person with E-Rank affinity, a person who has been a player for a month have completely dealt with a Gold III on his own. They still vividly remembered when Caelus was eliminating the Hollowfied being of the Null Organisation in the ancient domain.

A week later, he had now directly eliminated the king!

The man that made it hard for common citizens to live while the nobles enjoyed all the benefits.

For a moment, the normal citizens and nobles who were passive outside the capital all had mixed looks on their faces.

Caelus then turned to Brenda.

"Who here in the room deserves death?"

This was a question that made Brenda stare deeply at everyone in the room.

Eventually she pointed to a blonde man who was shivering by the side.

"That is Jack Benson." Brenda spoke. "He is the one that snitched about our plans."

"Alright." Caelus looked at Jack who instantly wore a terrified look.

"Don’t you know? Snitches get stitches!"

With that said, the man immediately blew up.

But it didn’t stop there. Brenda kept on calling names and heads blew off one by one.

The Johnson family and the Torres family were not exempt from this list. Only the Patek family survived.

This moment was witnessed by everyone.

The might of Player 555 was now in full display.

The power to turn corruption into good.

Only a few nobles remained in the trial room. The ones that Brenda believed were good people.

Just then, the man Asshart, the Minister of the former Solaris kingdom came forward and bowed.

He was an old man with the power of Silver III.

He had seen everything to the end and was eternally grateful to Caelus.

After that, Caelus begin extracting.

Immediately, loads of notification appeared before his vision.

[You’ve obtained the talent: Spatial Pocket (Upper B-Rank)]

[Spatial Pocket: form a pocket dimension within you where you can store items. The size of the dimension increases with rank. Current size: 30 cubic meters]

[You’ve obtained the talent: Dexterity (Upper A-Rank)]

Caelus was pleasantly surprised seeing this.

The instant that talent appeared, it replaced the former C-Rank Dexterity. His muscles begin to tighten and reform as the prowess over his muscles became even more prominent.

He casually swung the Ruyi Jingu Bang in his hands. It felt easier to control, and it felt like the next time someone tried to hit him, he would be able to deal with them more efficiently using his weapon. Not just that, he now felt more connected to his body, like he could draw out full power even from a tiny finger more efficiently.

This was the power of A-Rank Dexterity.

Feeling the rejuvenation, more notification appeared.

[You’ve obtained +100 Reputation points.]

[You’ve obtained the item: Portable Mansion (Epic)]

[You’ve obtained the talent: Mage]

[You already possess the mage talent. Converting it into a fragment.]

[Getting one more can advance the talent to a higher level]

"OH?" This was new. He hadn’t expected this at all.

But now he knew he could get the same talents repeatedly.

The rest of it were just useless origin credits. But he was satisfied, he got reputation points, an item, three talents.

This was by far the most he had received all at once from his scammy SSS-Rank talent.

And most importantly, this was just the first wave of rewards!

There was also the kingdom vault which most definitely had a lot of valuable items!

After that, he begin moving towards the royal vault after entrusting Brenda and Welt with dealing with the rest.

Once he had scoured through the vault, he would change up the Solaris kingdom.

Just then, he frowned as he arrived in front of the vault.

His vision shifted abruptly as he felt a throbbing near his neck, the same area Sylvia always bit him to take his blood.

For a split second, his vision glitched, showing him entirely something else. Something from the central plains.
