Such an event finally gave Aezaleon some idea of just how strong his woman, his wife, truly was. He couldn’t help but stare in a state of pure awe and shock, feeling a deep admiration blooming within his heart.

She stood before the chaos like an unyielding lighthouse amidst a raging storm.

Here he was, not even being able to react in time, whereas she—Clementine—was already done with the attack. She completely neutralized it without an ounce of hesitation. She was just too fast in her decision-making and wasn’t caught off guard by the sudden turn of events.

"Is it a rank 4 calamity?" he questioned, his voice reflecting his inner astonishment.

"Indeed!" Clementine confirmed, refocusing her gaze on him. Her lips curled into a playful smirk as she said, "Looks like you angered it, husband~!"

"Huh?... Me!?"

Aezaleon tilted his head, pointing at himself, appearing both confused and curious about her words.

’How! And when?!’

"Yeah, indeed it was you," Clementine confirmed with a nod.

"That Lioness is wounded, and that injury she suffered was because of your previous self-damaging attack. Also, by the looks of it, she is kinda very much pissed off; maybe you killed her prey or perhaps the quarry escaped because of your strike, who knows."

She shrugged dismissively. "All I know is that—the Lioness is angry and she came for blood~!" Her lips curled further. "Your blood, husband."

Aezaleon was left thoroughly speechless and dumbfounded. He couldn’t believe that he became the target of an absurdly strong rank 4 calamity simply because his strike was a bit too powerful than he expected.

This was utterly ludicrous, if not anything else. The situation was as absurd as a mountain taking offense at a pebble’s tumble.

"Now, tell me husband, what should I do? Should I kill it or do you want to tame it too?" she questioned calmly. Her expression was not bothered at all by their current predicament.

It was as though the calamity posed no threat to her at all, which also reassured Aezaleon. He genuinely was glad that he had such a good and powerful wife at this moment. To think he got her when he wasn’t even a day old.

"Hm. What do you propose I should do? I don’t have enough information to make the decision, and I also don’t want to make a weak calamity a member of my blood," he asked for her opinion. He recognized her as an expert with a whole lot of knowledge about calamities and other matters.

"Well, if it is up to me, then I’d say you take her," Clementine gave the answer right away.

Giving the explanation afterwards, she noted, "This Calamity: Infernal Blightflare Kalthara is quite strong, after all. Even more formidable than the deer here when she was also an ascension rank 3. Now her strength is enough to slaughter multiple calamities of the same rank as her. With her base prowess at Class 3: Sector Ruin Grade—Sector Initiate, there is not even a need to doubt the great potential running in her blood."

She voiced her assessment. However, as she felt the dense energy fluctuations, she added, "Moreover, this lioness is also very close to becoming a—<Monarch>."

She gave the fast-approaching calamity another quick scan despite their current distance being more than 12,000 meters, and nodded. Refocusing on Aezaleon, she continued.

"At which point she would gain full sentience, making her never be called a savage calamity anymore. Actually, I’m quite surprised at how this deer and that lioness weren’t born as intelligent calamities already, considering how much uniqueness they are showing. Although I do wonder whose fault that is~!"

Clementine smiled, pointing out that it was he who ate the natural energy that was supposed to go to them to awaken their intelligence during the process of his creation. His unintended gluttony had been like a thief stealing the light of reason from their souls.

"Ugh.. Alright, alright. I’ll also give her my blood and make her a part of my family," he muttered.

—[Family as in becoming a member of his line of calamity species. Just as there are beast-type calamities, humanoid calamities, elemental calamities, and other many types of calamities, he also had his own line. His own type of species.]

Aezaleon’s lips twitched at how she again was teasing him. "You don’t have to say that, you know," he remarked with a sigh.

He exhaled. "Now, would you mind bringing her to me? I don’t think I’m capable of handling a rank 4 calamity yet, let alone a strong one like her. Just the name alone is so ominous."

He requested, watching the flame embers disappear entirely, revealing the Calamity: Infernal Blightflare Kalthara in the distance.

Even though he couldn’t see her because of the 3,700 meters separating them, the disappeared forest and the suffocating presence of the calamity were things anyone could easily sense.

"Sure thing." He frowned. "This calamity has developed to the state of even becoming capable of showing emotions, and currently she is angry!... at me." He glanced towards Clementine, waiting for her response.

"Wait a minute, I’ll bring her here for you in a jiffy~!"

Clementine responded and disappeared the next second. More like her speed was far above what he could perceive at his current level of strength.

Nevertheless, as the master, Aezaleon could see what she saw through his sub-ability—<Shared Ascension Matrix>—from his ability effect four—<Dominion Pact: Master’s Fortune>.

He could even use her senses or sense what she sensed, but he never had the need to use the ability because he already had her by his side. So this passive effect was always kept deactivated by him to focus more on developing his own senses.

Anyhow, the second Clementine disappeared from his sight, Aezaleon saw her appear above the Calamity: Infernal Blightflare Kalthara! Even though it seemed like a short-distance teleportation, where she covered 3,700 meters in a blink, in actuality it was not.

It was simply her speed that was monstrous enough to completely eclipse his imagination. She moved like a streak of divine lightning across the wounded sky.

—[Clementine’s Acceleration—Hypersonic: Mach-11.] (It is her current speed, not her maximum ane actual speed.)

Subsequently, what Clementine did was quite simple, or rather it appeared as such. Because what she did was a simple vertical dive towards the calamity, giving a punch square to the female lion’s head.

The force behind the strike immediately made the calamity crash to the ground and go unconscious. The impact was just too much for her poor brain.

PUNCH!

BOOOM!

UNCONSCIOUS!

The bizarre thing was that, even after suffering such a heavy attack, enough to knock her out completely, the lioness did not seem injured in the slightest. There wasn’t even a scratch on her as she lay motionless on the ground.

Clementine pulled out a drop of blood from the calamity with a wave of her hand. She broke the liquid into micro-sized blood particles, which flew towards and encompassed the body of the unconscious lioness, settling down on her red fur.

Afterwards, with a simple motion of her hand, the unconscious calamity was lifted into the air as though through telekinesis.

Thereafter, both of them disappeared and reappeared before Aezaleon, who watched everything from the start to the finish. He was lost for words because this whole ordeal didn’t take Clementine even six seconds to complete.

He couldn’t help but sigh as he thought about how much he suffered just against the weaker Galescourge Bearer. The world was truly unfair.

Clementine, on sensing his emotions, quickly smiled. "Don’t compare me with yourself, husband. Remember you are only about a day old right now, while me—let’s not talk about my age—but I’m someone who once stood at the peak of ascension as a Divine Entity~!"

Clementine reminded him in a proud tone.

Of course it was rude to ask a woman her age. Only shameless people would do that.
