"Calamities!" Vorak roared in a shaking voice, stopping dead in his tracks. His eyes went wide as he sensed the all too familiar presence. The presence he could never forget even in his wildest dreams; it was of the same beasts, the same creatures he had hunted all his long life, after all.

At his words, the other four—Ofmond, Keal, Yirion, and Mvar—also expanded their senses immediately, activating their own distinctive sensory abilities.

Their gazes shook, their legs halting in their steps. It was as though their bodies had become anchored to where they stood.

Their hearts were beating rapidly.

Considering how the three calamities and that one woman conducted themselves, the five didn’t need to be told; they were intelligent enough to straight away know that the calamities who stood before them were Sentient Calamities!

The F*CK!

Now, only one collective thought remained in their minds: escape. They weren’t some idiots who would throw away their lives by challenging the four for a mere resource, regardless of its value. This was even more true with all the knowledge they had been taught in the academy and read in the Academic Archives, the library about intelligent calamities.

The simple question of where these truly horrendous calamities even popped out from, so near Varion no less, did not even cross their already disturbed minds.

Promptly, the five turned around and shot towards five different directions, using their maximum speed.

They activated every utility-based item they had, from movement-type talismans and potions to even the corresponding runes enchanted into their academic clothes. Everything was activated simultaneously and instantaneously. Only the potions were items they had to consume for them to take effect.

But they weren’t able to do so. They had summoned them out of their spatial rings; however, before even one of the five could consume them, they heard a soft voice. It was low, cold, and thoroughly amused.

"Have I allowed you to leave, outsiders~?"

It was a question to oneself with an answer already known—a rhetorical question. Evidently, the five weren’t going to listen to a mere calamity’s words, regardless of the fear running through every cell of their blood.

They felt cold with dread gripping their hearts, yet they still ignored her.

They chugged down the potions, feeling the surge of overflowing energy invade their taut bodies. They were at their maximum speed, approximately achieving an acceleration of four hundred and fifty to four hundred and eighty meters per second despite their sorry Material-Spiritual Ascension Ranks.

Nonetheless, in the end, it was still insufficient.

Considering the Ten Traits of [Nytherion — The Abyssal Gale of Unwritten End], Aphryne used the Sixth: [Xyraeth Sever Current]. It was an offense plus tactical neutralization type trait.

—[For simplicity = offense + precision suppression!]

A command from her and five noiseless, visionless, perceptionless, razor-sharp, ultra-thin darkwind filaments shot towards the five elves.

On a spontaneous thought, Aphryne also activated [Trait One: Voidstride Instantaneous Propagation] at the same time, despite perfectly not needing to.

--- --- --- --- ---

[Voidstride Instantaneous Propagation] — [Nytherion ignores normal movement rules, spreading through walls, vacuum, sealed spaces, and even places where wind should not exist. Darkwind provides motion, Oblivion removes resistance].

[In short: if Nytherion can target it, distance and environment usually do not matter].

--- ---

[Xyraeth Sever Current] — [Nytherion uses invisible darkwind filaments to silently suppress or cut exactly what matters—body, energy systems, information structures, or even abstract connections at higher levels. It doesn’t waste force; it attacks the weakest critical point directly].

[In short: precision internal shutdown or clean severance].

--- ---

—[It is the most simplified explanation; the Traits are capable of much more that have not been mentioned here! Also, Nytherion is too weak in its Manifestation Stage to realize those Traits to their apex potential as it is now!]

Their speed was amplified beyond what a mortal could imagine, let alone perceive! The invisible filaments cut through the space between them like silent lightning hunting a midnight prey.

They struck the targets without generating any noise. They entered them, bypassing all their physical and energy-type defenses, and stopped their actions instantly.

After losing complete control over themselves so out of nowhere, the five crashed down because of their momentum.

What happened here was very simple; using her [Sixth Trait: Xyraeth Sever Current], Aphryne merely separated the metaphysical connection the elves’ minds had with their bodies by cutting their physical neurological and complex spiritual systems completely.

Something so simple, and the five died without even knowing how! Their eyes were lifeless, their bodies woundless, and their expressions shockless.

Afterwards—not giving much thought to this event—it was a simple waiting game until Anastasia’s soul restoration was completed.

However, they did not waste this time. Aezaleon used [Matter Absorption] on the energy stones for Auguszta and on the Dark Galyods for Aphryne.

Time passed and soon Aezaleon could sense Anastasia’s soul slowly waking up.

He entered his soul sea, arriving at the same meadows. The other three also came. Aezaleon nodded towards them and teleported Anastasia before him.

"Um," she muttered, her brows furrowing. Her eyes were unfocused, blinking. Her vision was blurry, her mind confused and bewildered.

Feeling the many changes, she sensed the sole connection with Aezaleon and the three indirect ones with the three women beside him. There was also so much new information she got about many things and matters; most importantly, she came to know that, to her surprise and shock, her soul had been restored completely.

Her frown immediately morphed into a charming smile, her expression loosening its always detached outlook. "So you did not lie to me! Good~!" Anastasia refocused her attention on Aezaleon. "Now, how should I address you? Formally as my master, or informally by your name?" she inquired with an intrigued gaze.

"Now that you mention it, I also don’t know your name? Won’t you enlighten me?" Aezaleon teased. "As for your question, I would appreciate the latter approach."

"Aezaleon it is then!" Anastasia spoke in a much friendlier tone compared to before. "I go by the noble name of Anastasia Lavynia Nizalea, or at least this once was my name. However, now I am nothing but a fallen princess abandoned by her own family and killed by her own half-brother, because she was unwilling to sell her own dignity, let her pride be stepped on, and let go of her purity!" she replied wryly, her tone shifting into a bitter melody.

"Don’t worry, since you have already completely given yourself to husband, it is only natural that you also take his name, and by extension become a part of his identity," Auguszta commented, her voice carrying a deep warmth.

Anastasia blinked, her attention focusing on them. Afterwards, it was another wave of introductions between the four girls. With everything done, she also readily accepted the name of Eyne Ezodious.

"Anastasia Lavynia Eyne Ezodious~!" Aphryne repeated. "Not bad. It is a good name. But why Lavynia? Don’t you hate your family? With how you described them, I thought you didn’t want anything to do with them anymore," she questioned with a raised brow.
