Chapter 127: Ch-: Undead Parents (5)
"Moonlight Slash!"
"Moonlight Slash!"
Both father and son directly hurled the same attack at each other.
Boom!!
"What?!!" Soreil exclaimed when he saw that his attack was overpowered by Victor’s slash. He also noticed giant arcs of electricity crackling around the slash.
"Dodge!" Catherine shouted as her instincts screamed danger.
"Arghhh!" Soreil shouted when he blocked the slash with his own sword, but the attack grazed his arm. He felt his arm being assaulted by lightning from the inside, as though it were about to burst apart.
"Poison..." he gritted his teeth as he realized the slash had also contained poison. Catherine frowned and quickly used her flames to heal him.
"What kind of weaponized armor is that? I’m sure the poison and lightning infused into the slash came from his armor," Soreil said through gritted teeth.
"Are you curious about what kind of armor this is...?" Victor said with a teasing smile, causing both of them to stare at him. "It’s a Soul Weapon."
Not only Soreil and Catherine, but even Edward, who was watching from the sidelines, had his eyes widen and his jaw nearly drop to the ground.
"Heavens... that’s a Soul Weapon? Is that true, Miss Amber?" Edward asked as he looked at Amber, who was calmly watching the fight with absolute confidence in Victor. From his knowledge, Victor did not possess a Soul Weapon before and had never used one until he returned from his hunt. That meant he must have obtained it while he was out with Amber.
"Yes, it is a Soul Weapon. We were ambushed by some ants, and after killing them, he claimed the Soul Weapon for himself. It’s not a big deal," Amber said casually as she waved her hand dismissively.
Edward, upon hearing her words, felt his eyebrows twitch.
Bang!
Bang!
After a moment, Edward said softly while watching the clash between father and son, "Lord Victor’s luck is truly enviable."
After another clash of swords followed by a powerful explosion, the two figures that had been locked in what seemed like a deadly sword dance finally broke apart.
The feet of Soreil and Victor slid across the muddy ground as they glared at each other.
"So it really is a Soul Weapon..." Soreil said with a dark expression. At first, he had not believed Victor and tested it with the Epic-rank sword he possessed, only for it to be knocked away after striking Victor’s armor and clashing against the Jormdgunder Sword.
"Moonlight Barrage!"
Soreil’s body turned into moonlight as he charged toward Victor, unleashing hundreds of moonlight slashes along with him.
Victor’s pupils constricted, and he hurriedly tried to parry the attacks. He managed to block half of them thanks to the speed granted by lightning, but he was still injured.
"Ugh!"
Victor’s helmet cracked slightly, exposing part of his mouth as he coughed up a mouthful of blood and knelt on the ground.
’Fuck, if not for the armor, I would have died... as expected of a Tier 4 with support, it’s not easy,’ Victor mumbled as he looked calmly at his undead father, who was being healed by his undead mother.
"Victor, surrender. I can still spare you and turn you into an undead without killing you. We can be a family again," Soreil tried to persuade Victor, now confident that Victor could not harm him in this condition.
"Lord Victor!" Edward saw this and was about to rush forward to save him. He knew he could not do anything, as even Victor—stronger than him in his eyes—was still in danger, but he could not let him die while he was still alive. He decided he would risk his life to buy him a few seconds of time, enough for him to escape by turning into lightning.
But just as he was about to rush forward, a hand grabbed his shoulder. "Lady, why are you stopping me?"
Edward said with an angry tone at Amber, who stopped him from rushing forward. Seeing the calm look on her face without any worry made him even more frustrated as he thought, ’Hah, she’s a newcomer—what would she know.’
"Don’t jump to conclusions. It’s still not over yet," Amber said, and Edward frowned, but the next moment his eyes widened...

"Sorry, my dear father, I refuse. I still have fight left in me," Victor smirked.
"Sigh, stubborn to the end... just like me," Soreil said. His eyes turned murderous, but the next moment he saw Victor vanish.
"Ahhh... no!" Soreil’s eyes snapped open when he saw Victor appear behind Catherine and thrust his sword directly into her chest as she melted into a mass of goo.
"What... how did he become so fast?" Soreil’s eyes widened in shock, but then anger clouded his mind as he saw his wife die.
Soreil’s expression darkened, and for the first time in a long while, his indifferent eyes began to fill with rage. Even though he knew his son was strong, he had never expected his wife to die such a miserable death again.
"You... brat... how dare you...do this...you brat"
Suddenly, a terrifying killing intent leaked from his body. His silhouette quickly took on a faint silver radiance, and his sword began to tremble as it glowed brightly.
Boom!
Boom!
Soreil charged forward, his speed nearly doubling along with his strength.
Victor’s lips curved into a disdainful smile as his Bloodline buffs—agility, magical attack power, physical attack power, defense, and above all lethality—activated one after another.
"How is he so fast?!" Soreil cried out in shock as Victor, who had been just inches from his attack, turned into lightning and dodged it with ease.
"Hm..." Just as he was about to launch another attack, a new notification popped out on his retina which made him raise an eyebrow.
