Chapter 76: Ch-: Arrival of Players (3)
Victor’s eyebrows twitched as he saw the huge line of players who were looking at him eagerly.
"Lord Victor, is it appropriate for you to assign them the mission personally?" Edward said with furrowed brows; in his view, a noble who is also a Lord should not be bothered with trivial tasks like this.
"You are right..." Victor nodded his head in agreement and decided to delegate the task. He sighed in relief when he had just received from the system that quests could be delegated; if not, even a whole day would not be enough to give quests to all the players, and moreover, he is a noble, and it is not appropriate for his image.
’I should also add some rewards personally to make me favorable in the eyes of the players and to motivate them,’ Victor thought as he looked at the players who were waiting. He knew that this world event was something arranged by the Akashic Records; even though it had no hand in making the Black Church attack his territory, the rewards would be assigned by the Akashic Records instead of him.
As a player, he could also participate in the raid, which he intended to do, and claim the top reward. ’I wonder what it would be; World Events give the highest rewards compared to normal quests.’
He then looked ahead and instructed, "Listen, Edward, you go gather the soldiers and do this..."
Victor spoke as Edward’s eyes widened. After he was done, Edward asked hesitantly, "Lord Victor, are you sure you want to give so much away for free?"
"Yes," Victor said nonchalantly; getting in the good graces of players is important, as he knew how powerful slaves—workers—they would be in the future.
Edward nodded and stepped forward and said in a calm voice, "Everyone, may I have your attention?"
As soon as his voice rang out, every eye was on him. "We will be temporarily opening quest booths where you can collect the quests from; in the meantime, please wait till the booths are set."
As soon as his words fell, there was chattering among the players.
"Damn, this NPC—I was first in line to receive the quest," the player at the front of the line grumbled but did not dare act recklessly, as they had seen how the audacious player had died before, and they did not think Victor was weaker. Also, the soldiers nearby had their eyes fixed on them.
Victor understood from the interaction and behavior of the players what they meant by quests but was still confused about the NPC term.
He just looked at them indifferently as they dispersed and then called some soldiers and ordered them to follow Lord Victor’s task.

"So this is the Silvernum Territory, huh?" Andrew, who had just arrived, looked around the territory with a curious gaze.
"This doesn’t seem like much compared to the other territories we have visited," Rachel said with a slightly disappointed expression.
"We have not entered the territory yet; we are still outside—look, there are guards stationed there at the gate," Olivia said as she pointed into the distance and then looked at Rachel and said in a warning tone, "And Rachel, keep your mouth under control; if someone hears you insulting their lands, they might kick you out, and your favorability will drop."
"I understand," Rachel swallowed a mouthful of saliva and said hurriedly, seeing Olivia’s narrowed gaze. Rachel then looked back at the recruits and shouted, "Why the hell are you just standing—move on!"
Rachel looked at the new recruits for their guild and shouted, which caused them to snap out of their thoughts and say, "Yes, boss!"
Olivia rolled her eyes and walked towards the entrance.
"Halt," the guard shouted as he looked at the incoming group with a narrowed gaze. "State your purpose."
"We are from the Angel Wing Guild; we have come to participate in the quest to defend the Silvernum Territory from the Black Church."
"Oh?" the guard raised an eyebrow. The news of the invasion had already spread across the Silvernum Territory, but no one was afraid; in fact, the soldiers were excited, as they wanted this opportunity to test the power of the Mechs on a real army. They were practically itching for battle; they were honestly bored fighting monsters and wanted to test themselves against humans and Warlocks. If the Black Church heard about this, they would probably gnash their teeth in anger.
"Hey, what is a guild?" the guard who heard their reply looked at his comrade and asked.
"Oh, we have been busy in the dungeon, so you don’t know—there was a group of people who had arrived and called themselves a guild; from what I heard, they seem to be like mercenary groups," another guard replied.
’Other guilds...’ hearing the conversation, Olivia frowned.
"What is the name of your organization?" the guard asked as he held a digital tablet.
"Angel Wing Guild," Olivia said calmly. The guard nodded and then looked at her. "Write the names of the members of your organization."
Olivia nodded and watched as everyone, one by one, wrote their names and details, and then after they were done, the guard nodded. "Alright, you can go now."
The guard said, and then looked at another guard. "Open the forcefield."
One of the guards seemed to call someone and said something, and then...
Soon, a dome which was invisible appeared in their vision, and a small gap appeared at the bottom, which was the entrance.
"What!!" Andrew, seeing this, had his mouth part open and looked at it in disbelief and said, "Damn, I thought this was a magical world, not some sci-fi world."
"Let’s go," Olivia was also shocked, but she regained her bearings and said in a calm voice. The others nodded and quickly followed behind.

As soon as they entered the dome, they felt like they had entered a completely different place entirely; from the outside, it looked completely desolate, but inside, the scene was completely different. There was a bustling crowd, filled with shops and soldiers patrolling the area.
"Holy shit, what the hell is that?" Andrew exclaimed as his eyes widened; Olivia, Rachel, and the others also followed his gaze and were dumbfounded.
