"Why on earth are you screaming, you idiot? And close your mouth," Rachel frowned as she heard Andrew scream.

Olivia did not say anything but stepped forward and shoved Andrew aside and looked at the NPC. "I want to take the quest."

"Sure," the soldier said with a smile as he registered her, and a notification popped up on her retina.

Olivia sucked in a deep breath as she read the rewards for the top 50. She did not know what reward the Akashic Records would give them, but the rewards the Baron was offering were really generous.

’No wonder this guy seems to have lost his mind,’ Olivia scoffed inwardly, looking at Andrew’s face, and shook her head.

She was also shocked by the reward, but not like Andrew, who was acting as if he had met the love of his life. Olivia knew these rewards were issued to make the players more willing to throw away their lives, as they were too weak to make any real difference. Even she and the others who had Warlock Bloodlines were weak and would serve as slightly stronger cannon fodder.

Even though she and the others knew this, they would still participate. Sure, if they died, they would drop to level 1, but she was certain they would gain more experience points and that the rewards would cover their losses.

’Epic rank...’ Olivia’s eyes gleamed when she saw the word for the top 10, and her gaze sharpened as she was determined to get into the top 10 and maybe even obtain the unknown rewards. Epic rank items currently were like a beggar suddenly receiving $100 billion.

Then she looked around and sighed as she heard the whispers.

"Holy shit, you can really get Mechs from the quest!" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

"Let me point out you still need to make it to the top 50, and if you die you will be level 1 again!"

"Who cares? It’s still worth the try, you know. I’ve always wanted to operate Mechs and robots!"

Just as Olivia was about to leave, she frowned when she saw Ruby and Mathew seemed to be in a heated conversation. She walked toward them and perked her ears up.

"Ruby, why is this guy attacking you?" Valerie, who had just walked over, asked with a smirk.

"Who knows what bloodline he got—the moment he saw me, he started attacking me, and I see...you still chose to form a guild with him," Ruby said with a raised eyebrow, which caused Valerie’s expression to darken further.

’Those old coots...’ Valerie clenched her fists and took deep breaths to calm her nerves and thought, ’Looks like the only way to escape this is to either kill Julian...or get so strong they can’t force me.’

"Is that your bloodline?" Valerie asked as she pointed toward Mathew, who was tied by wooden branches.

"Yes, by the way, what’s your bloodline?" Ruby said, as she had no intention of hiding her bloodline since it would be revealed sooner or later.

"Well... not telling." Just as she denied answering Ruby’s question, she clicked her tongue when she saw Mathew break free and lunge at her. She gritted her teeth and glared at Ruby, who looked away. "Ruby..."

"Hmph, I thought I would hide it a bit longer, but... partial transformation." Her entire right arm transformed into that of a beast, and she struck Mathew hard, sending him flying backward.

"Oh, looks like you get the physical strength and traits of monsters... but how?" Ruby muttered as she rubbed her chin and said, "Could you have eaten their flesh?"

"You’re the one who eats beast flesh! I just absorbed their monster cores!" Valerie shouted as shark-like teeth appeared.

"Calm down, Valerie, I was joking," Ruby said as she raised her hands in mock surrender.

"Oi, isn’t that Olivia?" Valerie said as she pointed at Olivia, who was walking toward them, but then her lips curled when she saw Mathew charging at Olivia mindlessly.

"I heard she has an ice bloodline—let’s see how powerful it is," Ruby said with a smile, but then her expression froze.

Mathew, who was charging at Olivia, suddenly froze, leaving only his head intact, and then was bound tightly with chains made of ice.

"Hmph." Olivia snorted and then saw some guild members of the Crimson Lion Guild arrive near her and bow their heads.

"Thank you, Lady Olivia, the Young Master had lost control upon seeing Lady Ruby," the men said hurriedly, and Olivia just ignored them and went the other way; she had lost interest in talking with Ruby and Valerie.

"Tsk, this woman is still as cold as ever," Ruby said as she clicked her tongue.

"Hah, so it’s your fault he got angry, huh?" Valerie glared at Ruby, who shrugged her shoulders. "Who knew this guy would get so angry just because I teased him a bit in the chat?"

Victor was watching them from a distance in amusement and muttered, "Looks like my cannon fodder are all here."

Victor’s eyes swept over every heir of the 8 Great Families who were waiting with their respective guilds.

Just then, the black cat, Miss Lilith, padded toward Victor’s side and said in a feminine voice, "Sir Victor, Miss Lilith has something to report."

"Oh, what is it?" Victor said as he looked at Lilith with a smile.

"Miss Lilith saw the army you told her to keep watch for; they are a few kilometers away and will arrive mostly within an hour."

Hearing this, Victor’s face turned grave, and he called Edward toward him.

"Yes, young master?" Edward asked, and then his expression changed when he heard his words.

"The enemy will arrive in an hour. Get everyone ready," Victor said.

"I will notify everyone and get the army and mercenaries ready," Edward said in a solemn tone.
